Effects of the Preparation for the Old Age and Social Networks on Enterpreneurial Intentions (노인준비와 사회적네트워크가 창업의지에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the influencing relationships among the preparation for the old age, social networks, and the enterpreneurial intention of the potential enterpreneurs. 305 numbers of structured questionnaires were collected from the potential enterpreneurs and analyzed through SPSS WIN 21.0 using frequency, validity test, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis. The result are as follows. Firstly, the effects of the emotional and economical preparation for the old age on the entrepreneural intention of the potential enterpreneurs were shown as negative. Secondly, the social networks affects the enterpreneural intention of the potential enterpreneurs negatively.

The Social Activities of the Middle-aged Women (중년기 여성의 사회활동에 관한 일 고찰)

  • This study explores the overall social activities of the middle-aged women. The middle-aged married women of this study are the 40-59 years old and having youngest child above 10 years. Their social activities are categorized into work activities leisure avtivities social network with kin friends and neighbors and religious activities. The results are summarized as follows: (1) The work activities of he middle-aged married women are characterized by stable employment preparation of reentry to the job worries of unemployment and preparation of retirement(2) The leisure activities of the middle-aged married women are devided into two styles; family oriented activities and self developing activities. (3) In social networks especially the social relation with neighbor are increased and the relation with kinship tends to be bilineages. (4) Their religious activities are more supported by families than other activities. From he result this study suggests that : (1) The middle-aged m rried women might accept their midlife as a developmental stage. (2) The volunteer activities might be extended throughout the social activities (3) New social education programs for helping women's growth might be developed.

Effects of self-esteem and adjustment to college life on career preparation behavior of paramedic students (응급구조과 학생의 자아존중감과 대학생활적응이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose : This study was designed to examine the effects of self-esteem and adjustment to college life on career preparation behavior in 209 paramedic students attending two colleges in G Metropolitan City and provide the basic materials of career development program. Methods : Data were collected from Sep. 7 to 12, 2011 and SEI Form B made by Coopersmith, adjustment to college life by Baker and Siryk, and career preparation behavior by Kim were adopted and revised. Results : There was significant difference in self-esteem and adjustment to college life between gender, but there was no difference in career preparation behavior. Self-esteem and career preparation behavior were graders difference, but there was no in adjustment to college life. There were positive correlations between self-esteem and adjustment to college life. The most significant influence on career preparation behavior of paramedic students was academic adjustment, followed the social and emotional adjustment. Conclusion : For the effective career preparation behaviors, career guidance methods and programs that induce academic, social and emotional adjustment to be available in adjustment to college life of gender and grade.

A Study on Influence of Physical Preparation for Later Life on Social Relationship after Retirement: Focusing on Moderating Effect of Leisure Life

  • Purpose - This study is to verify the mediating effect of voluntariness in retirement and the moderating effects of leisure life to examine which parts of later life preparations have influence on the retired life. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, the 6th Korean Retirement and Income Study was conducted on 5,254 members of households with householders over the age of 50. To examine the relationship between later life preparation and retired life, this study used personal data based on the serial number of the household members. Results - First, physical preparation for later life had a positive influence on retired life satisfaction among retirement satisfaction. People showed higher retired life satisfaction. Secondly, physical preparation for later life had a positive influence on satisfaction over relationship after retirement among retirement satisfaction. People showed higher satisfaction over relationship after retirement when they were more physically prepared for later life. Conclusions - In particular, leisure life had a mediating effect for the influence of physical preparation for later life on the retired life. Also, leisure life and physical preparation for later life showed a close influencing relationship. People showed active leisure life and higher retired life satisfaction when they were more physically prepared for later life.

Effects of Married Female Immigrants' Consciousness of Later Life and Social-Leisure Activities on Their Preparation Perception for Their Later Life in Choongchungnam-Do (결혼이주여성 노후생활인식과 사회활동 및 여가활동이 노후준비의식에 미치는 영향 -충청남도를 중심으로-)

  • This study aimed to explore the effects of married female immigrants' consciousness of later life and social and leisure activities on their preparation perception for their later life. We used data from 355 married female immigrants, residing in or nearby, Choongchungnam-do, Korea in 2013. Regressional analysis and SPSS 18.0 were conducted to prove the hypotheses. Consistent with previous studies, the findings of this study indicate that having more activities on leisure and social life and more planning on later life constitute critical factors for higher emotional, physical, and economical preparation perception for later life. Here we discussed strategies in planning social welfare policy for married female immigrants by providing basic information.

  • Korea is expected to become an "aged society" in approximately fifteen years. In order to prepare Korean society for this "aged society", the government and social organizaitons need to offer a life stage preparation manual for the young, middle-aged, and aging populations, as well as providing support structures to guide them through this transition. Researchers have developed a Life Stage Preparation Program, based on surveys and experiments conducted to assess needs and appraise effectiveness. To accomplish the goal of this research, the team has been composed of specialists from the fields of social welfare, family studies, occupational studies, and gerontology. The Life Stage Preparation Program consists of ten areas: understanding ageing issues, sustaining and improving health, psychological issues, continuing education, family relations, social activities, financial preparation, occupations, shelter, and mortality. The effectiveness of the program surveyed on age group of 20s and 60s resulted in nine areas. The Life Stage Preparation Program needs to be operated as a life long education program.

A Study on the Decisive Factors Influencing the Career Preparation Activities of North Korean Adolescent Defector (탈북 청소년 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, which is based on the findings of the preceding studies, the researchers determined social support and Career Decision Self-efficacy as the key influencing variables for the successful Career Preparation Activities, to analyze the relationship between Career Preparation Activities and these variables, while identifying the mediating effect of Career Decision Self-efficacy in the relationship between social support and Career Preparation Activities. In addition, there is an objective to provide effective career counseling materials. For this study, a total of 174 North Korean adolescent defectors, who were in their middle and high schools, were interviewed and the resultant data were analyzed the data based on the questionnaire data of 204 copies from March 12 to 19, 2019. For the analysis of the data, SPSS and AMOS statistical suites were used to verify the hypothesis. The result of the analysis showed that, first, in the relationship between the social support, Career Decision Self-efficacy, and Career Preparation Activities of the North Korean adolescent defectors social support, Career Decision Self-efficacy, and Career Preparation Activities were all positively related. Especially, Career Decision Self-efficacy has been identified as the variable that is highly related to Career Preparation Activities. Second, rather than social support(${\beta}=.107$), Career Decision Self-efficacy(${\beta}=.388$) turned out to have more profound direct influence on Career Preparation Activities. Third, social support did not influence Career Preparation Activities directly(${\beta}=.107$, p>.05) but completely intermediated Career Decision Self-efficacy to influence Career Preparation Activities(Indirect effect=.307, p<.05, Z-value=2.924, p<.01). The findings of this study show that, in order to enhance the Career Preparation Activities of the North Korean adolescent defectors, it is necessary to examine how they perceive the emotional, informational, material, and evaluative supports from the surrounding environment are perceived and identify the abilities, values, and career desires of themselves through a behavioral planning that can establish a professional and value system in accordance with them.

The Effects of Individual Career Orientation and Preparation of Old Age on the entrepreneurial Intention: Focused on the Effects of Moderating Role of Social Networks (경력지향성과 노후준비도가 창업의지에 미치는 영향: 사회적 네트워크의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence relationships among individual career orientation, preparation of old age, social networks, and the entrepreneurial intention of the potential entrepreneurs. 408 numbers of structured questionnaire were collected from the potential entrepreneurs who live in Seoul through the online Google survey method and offline face to face method. And the collected data was analyzed on frequency analysis, validity analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis etc. using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The results are as follows. Firstly, innovation, entrepreneurial creativity, and autonomy orientation affect on entrepreneurial intention positively(+), but security orientation has a negative(-) effect on entrepreneurial intention in the influence relationships between individual career orientation and entrepreneurial intention. Secondly, economical and emotional preparation have positive(+) influences on entrepreneurial intention in the influence relationships between individual career orientation and entrepreneurial intention. Thirdly, the sub-variables of social networks, that is, assist and role models exert a positive(+) influence on entrepreneurial intention in the influence relationships between social networks and entrepreneurial intention. Fourthly, social networks plays a moderating role only on the relationship between security orientation and entrepreneurial intention in the analysis about the moderating effects of social networks on the influence relationships among individual career orientation, preparation of old age, and entrepreneurial intention. Fifth, a social network of relationships to help prepare the old establishment has been found to help regulate effective analysis of whether or not the results of adjustment.

Positive emotion, satisfaction with college life, and career preparation: the mediation of calling (대학생의 긍정정서와 대학생활 만족도 및 진로준비의 관계에서 소명의식의 매개효과)

  • According to the broaden and build theory of positive emotion, positive emotion brings positive results in various areas of life. Based on this, this study focused if positive emotions could improve satisfaction with college life and career preparation among undergraduate students. Futhermore we examined that calling mediates between positive emotion and satisfaction with college life/career preparation. The total of 473 respondents were surveyed in this study. The result showed that positive emotions improve college life satisfaction and career preparation. Also, calling of students played an significant role of mediation between positive emotion and satisfaction with college life/career preparation. Based on these results, we discussed the impact of contact and sense of community and implications of this study.

A Study on the Effect of Founder's Start-up Preparation and the Burden of Start-up Failure on Start-up Achievement-Focusing on the Social Support Moderating Effect (창업자의 창업준비와 창업실패 부담감이 창업성과에 미치는 영향연구-사회적지지 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is, first, to empirically verify the relationship between the influences of the start-up performance and the inherent fear factor of failure on the start-up performance through the preparation of the start-up. Second, this study aims to prove the influence of the moderating effect of social support on the relationship between start-up preparation and the burden of start-up failure. The research subjects were sampled and analyzed by 298 start-ups who are currently starting their own businesses. This study founds that preparation of start-up items, which is a subordinate theory of start-up preparation, had a significant effect on start-up performance, and that anxiety about failure had a significant effect on start-up performance. Using the SPSS statistical program, the hierarchical regression analysis proved the moderating effect of social support in the relationship between star-tup preparation, start-up failure burden and startup performance. Furthermore, the moderating effect of social support among start-up preparation, start-up failure burden and start-up achievement was analyzed, but no significant results were found for start-up failure burden. Besides, the effect of the opposite concept of independent variables on the dependent variables at the same time is to be analysed.
