The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating and moderating effects of teacher-child relationships on children's social behavior and peer preference. The participants were 508 children and 28 head teachers of their classes. Teachers measured the children's social behavior and the teacher-child relationships. Peer preference was measured by peer nomination. The association between prosocial behavior and peer preference was partially mediated by teacher-child conflict. The association between withdrawal, aggression and peer preference was fully mediated by teacher-child conflict. The moderating effects of teacher-child conflict were found between prosocial behavior and peer preference. In addition, teacher-child conflict moderated the association between physical aggression and peer preference.

In route selection process of NIMBY facilities, many conflicts occur due to route selection procedure and NIMBY syndrome. Especially, the social conflicts surrounding the site selection and operation are frequent enough to account for 70% of the total conflict cases, causing significant losses. To resolve the conflict in route selection, social conflicts are considered. Therefore, this study proposes an improved process of selecting route considering social conflicts in the power transmission line. First, the analysis of previous research trends and interviews with experts revealed the improved exclusion zone criteria, the factors and priorities of NIMBY facilities. After selecting the candidate routes, the optimal route is selected by using Fuzzy-TOPSIS. Hence, 83.3% of six experts have verified that this model minimizes conflicts and has sufficient applicability. The proposed model is expected to be used as a tool to minimize social conflict in the selection process of the power transmission line in the early stage of the project.
The study investigated the repeated conflict of remarried family from family systems perspective, and used the verbatim of family members, who were participated in family therapy, as analysis data. the study used Miles and Hubernam's matrix, graph, and graphical network display to analyze the data. The results of study were as follows. After the couples remarried, a husband and two step-children, who were born in ex-wife, used dysfunctional communication method to keep the established family systems. Also, a wife used dysfunctional communication method to change the existing family systems. These dysfunctional communication method, which were used by family members, caused vicious cycle rather than resolving the family conflict. The differences of remarried husband first-married wife, and the differences of blooded and non-blooded relationships among family members had influenced on family conflict.
This study examined the effect of preschooler's emotional intelligence, child-teacher relationships (intimacy, conflict and dependency) on children's social competence. A sample of 269 children (142 boys and 127 girls) aged 3 to 6 in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do participated in the Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Child-Teacher Relationships Scale and Social Competence Scale by teachers. Descriptive statistics, t -test, Pearson's correlation analysis and regression analysis analyzed data via SPSS ver. 20.0. This study followed a mediated effect model. The results showed that: (1) The emotional intelligence of girls was significantly higher than boys. However, the child-teacher relationship and children's social competence had no significant difference relationship to gender. (2) There was a mediating effect of child-teacher relationships between preschooler's emotional intelligence and social competence. The effect of emotional intelligence on social competence was partially mediated by intimate relationship, conflict relationship and dependency relationship. The degree of mediating effect was investigated in regards to conflict relationship, dependency relationship and intimate relationship. This study demonstrated that child-teacher relationships mediate the relationship between emotional intelligence and social competence of preschoolers.

Conflicts in public construction projects lead to increase social costs as well as construction costs and schedule delay. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the conflict in construction project and find appropriate solutions based on previous cases. In this research, the conflict factors and criteria for evaluating conflict are derived and 30 cases are evaluated by 11 conflict experts. Using k-means clustering, the cases are clustered by three clusters. The cases were analyzed according to the characteristics of each cluster and labeled as 'NIMBY and harmful facility conflict cluster', 'environmental and pollution conflict cluster', and 'PIMFY and small conflicts'. In the future, when conflict occurs in the public construction projects, the conflict can be evaluated using this clustering and the characteristics of the conflicts can be found. As a result, it will be helpful to mitigate the conflict quickly and effectively by looking for previous cases that are suitable for resolving the conflict through appropriate clusters.
This paper reviewed the effects of job characteristics(role conflicts, emotional labor, job importance and job autonomy) on satisfaction and stress, and the moderating effect of social support. Based on 2,982 questionnaires among raw data of Korea Safety and Health Agency's national survey, the results of multiple regression analysis appeared as follow; 1) role conflict effect negatively on job satisfaction, and emotional labor, job importance and job autonomy effect positively on job satisfaction. 2) role conflict effect positively on stress, and emotional labor, job importance and job autonomy effect negatively on stress. 3) social support moderates positively 2 relationships-between role conflict and job satisfaction, between job autonomy and job satisfaction, but moderates negatively between job autonomy and stress.
This study examined influences of work-family conflict on husband-to-wife battering and explored the mediating effects of stress between work-family conflict and wife battering. Subjects were 293 male violence offenders sampled from 65 domestic violence counseling centers nationally. Both directions of conflict between. work and family, work-to-family interference (WIF) and family-to-work interference (FIW), were proven to be significantly influential on wife battering and stress. Work-to-family interference did not have direct influence on wife battering but indicated a complete mediation effect of stress. On the other hand, family-to-work interference implied a partial mediation effect of stress, with both direct and indirect influences on wife battering. Based on these findings, the research discussion was extended to include the implication of an intervention that would decrease husband-to-wife battering.
In South Korea, as awareness of gender equality increased since the 1990s, policies for gender equality and social awareness of equality have been established. Until recently, however, the gap between men and women in social and economic activities has not reached the globally desired level and led to social conflict throughout the country. In this study, we analyze the content of online news comments to understand the public perception of gender equality and the details of gender conflict and to grasp the emergence and diffusion process of emerging issues on gender equality. We collected text data from the online news that included the word 'gender equality' posted from January 2012 to June 2017 and also collected comments on each selected news item. Through text mining and the temporal semantic network analysis, we tracked the changes in discourse on gender equality and conflict. Results revealed that gender conflicts are increasing in the online media, and the focus of conflict is shifting from 'position and role inequality' to 'opportunity inequality'.

This study aims to examine the relative effects of marital conflict, social support, satisfaction with early childhood care and education centers, and family-friendly policies on the parenting stress of working mothers. The data were drawn from the 4th and 7th waves of the Panel Study of Korean Children (PSKC). Participants comprised 252 working mothers with infant children (4th wave) and children in the early childhood stage (7th wave). Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS 22.0. The major findings were that marital conflict, emotional support, and the implementation of family-friendly policies significantly affected the parenting stress of working mothers with infant children. Additionally, marital conflict and satisfaction with early childhood care and education centers had significant effects on the parenting stress of working mothers with children in the early childhood stage. These findings emphasize the importance of considering a child's developmental stage in reducing parenting stress.
