A Study on the Logistics Sharing Platform for the Utilization of Idle Resources in Industrial Complexes: Case Study on UlSan-Mipo (산업단지내 유휴 자원 활용을 위한 물류 공유 플랫폼에 대한 연구: 울산미포 사례)

  • Industrial complexes are areas where manufacturing companies are integrated, and logistics between tenant companies play a very important role, but idle resources can occur depending on the situation if each company operates independently. Accordingly, this study aimed to reduce overall logistics costs and increase corporate productivity by looking at ways to share and utilize logistics resources such as warehouses and transportation equipment to efficiently utilize logistics resources in industrial complexes and implementing a logistics sharing platform that can share these idle resources. To this end, this study conducted a research survey on the logistics status of manufacturing companies in Ulsan-Mipo Industrial Complex, based on this analysis, the necessity of logistics resource types and utilization of industrial complex resident companies, and based on this, a service model for logistics resource sharing was studied. In addition, it was intended to analyze the operational characteristics of the existing logistics system to derive improvements and to derive optimal measures to utilize information on shared idle resources. This study confirmed the importance of sharing and utilizing idle resources to optimize logistics resources in industrial complexes, and is expected to contribute to reducing logistics costs and increasing logistics efficiency of tenant companies.

  • Recently, ESG management has become a global trend, receiving increasing attention from stakeholders such as consumers, investors, and governments, as regulations related to ESG disclosure and supply chain due diligence have been strengthened since the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (UN PRI) was announced in 2006. ESG is an acronym for the environment (E), social (S), and governance (G) and is accepted as a key factor for the continuous survival and growth of a company. As a result, there are over 600 ESG management evaluation indicators operated domestically and internationally, and numerous global initiatives have emerged. Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy also announced "K-ESG Guidelines (December 2011)" and "K-ESG Guidelines for Supply Chain Response (December 22)" to help SMEs introduce ESG management and respond to supply chain due diligence. However, small-scale manufacturing companies with poor financial, human resources, and technological capabilities face significant challenges in introducing ESG management. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the current status of ESG management adoption in small-scale manufacturing companies with less than 150 people in Korea and propose activation plan ESG management based on the diagnostic requirements of the "Supply Chain Response K-ESG Guidelines."

  • The Smart Factory level of manufacturing factories of SMEs now lacks a system for grasping the accurate inventory amount associated with inventory movements in managing warehouses at the basic level. Also, it is difficult to manage accurate materials for loss of data due to worker manual work and production method due to experience. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, automatic acquisition of inventory to minimize manual work to grasp workers' Inventory and improve automation is done. In the smart warehouse management system using the IoT-based autonomous mobile module, the autonomous mobile module acquires the data of the inventory storage while moving through the line. In order to grasp the material of the Inventory storage, The Camera module recognizes the name of the inventory storage. And Then, If output matches, the data measured by the sensor is transferred to the server. This data can be processed, saved in a database, and real-time inventory quantity and location can be grasped in a web-based monitoring environment for administrators. The Real-time Automatic Inventory (RAIC) systems is reduce manual tasks and expect the effects of automated inventory management systems.

  • This study examines the Personalized Oriented Customized and services in smart environments. In addition to The structure of industry is currently smart environment shifting from the manufacturing industry focusing on goods production to service industry merging and combining service and marketing. The companies are placing a higher value on the customer needs to gain a competitive edge with creation of new business model. The key dilemma in mass customization and service, though, is how product customization can be realized without increasing production cost significantly. The purpose of this study is to explore new product development strategies that facilitate mass customization and service. Specifically, we propose Crowdsourcing marketing, Digital experience technology, Recommender Systems, 3D printing technology, Flexible manufacturing systems and UX based PSS(Product-Service Systems) in new product development processes as enabling strategies for mass customization and service in smart environments.

Prediction of Power Consumed By Forward and Reverse Rotation Rotavator using Field Load Analysis (필드 부하 분석을 이용한 정/역회전 로타베이터의 소요 동력 예측)

  • In this study, we installed forward and reverse rotation rotavators on a tractor to measure the load in the field and analyze the power consumed. The rotavator is attached to the rear of the tractor and transmits the power applied from the power take off (PTO) of the tractor to the rotating shaft of the rotavator, and it plows or reverses the soil according to the rotational direction of the rotating shaft. Depending on the rotational direction of the rotavator, the power consumed in the tractor engine and the power transmitted to the tractor axle and rotavator also vary, thus, research of load and power is an essential factor in designing the system. As a field test results, 84.1-93.5% power was consumed by the forward rotation rotavator, and 37.8-57.5% power was consumed by the reverse rotation rotavator. In addition, depending on the rotation direction of the rotavator, the power consumed by the tractor was in the order of PTO and axle. Based on the research results, development of reliable rotavator systems would be possible in the future research.

Optimization of VIGA Process Parameters for Power Characteristics of Fe-Si-Al-P Soft Magnetic Alloy using Machine Learning

  • Soft magnetic powder materials are used throughout industries such as motors and power converters. When manufacturing Fe-based soft magnetic composites, the size and shape of the soft magnetic powder and the microstructure in the powder are closely related to the magnetic properties. In this study, Fe-Si-Al-P alloy powders were manufactured using various manufacturing process parameter sets, and the process parameters of the vacuum induction melt gas atomization process were set as melt temperature, atomization gas pressure, and gas flow rate. Process variable data that records are converted into 6 types of data for each powder recovery section. Process variable data that recorded minute changes were converted into 6 types of data and used as input variables. As output variables, a total of 6 types were designated by measuring the particle size, flowability, apparent density, and sphericity of the manufactured powders according to the process variable conditions. The sensitivity of the input and output variables was analyzed through the Pearson correlation coefficient, and a total of 6 powder characteristics were analyzed by artificial neural network model. The prediction results were compared with the results through linear regression analysis and response surface methodology, respectively.

  • Smart Factory refers to a factory that can be controlled by itself with an intelligent factory that improves productivity, quality and customer satisfaction by combining the entire process of manufacturing and production with digital automation solutions. The manufacturing industry around the world is rapidly changing, with Germany, Europe, and the United States at the center. In order to cope with such changes, the Korean government is also implementing a policy to spread the supply of smart factories for small and medium-sized companies, and related ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of SMEs and Venture Business, the Korea Institute of Technology and Information Promotion, and local technoparks, as well as large companies such as Samsung, SK and LG are actively investing in smart manufacturing projects to support smart factories[1]. Factory Automation (FA) construction has many issues regarding the connection of heterogeneous equipment. The most difficult aspect of configuring various communications from various equipment is the reason. Although it may not be known if there are standards or products made up of the same company, it is not easy to build equipment that is old, up-to-date, and different use environments through a series of communications. To solve this problem, we would like to propose a method of communication using Modbus, one of FieldBus, which is one of the many industrial devices of PLC, a representative facility control system, and is used as a communication standard.

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, manufacturing is the implementation of smart factories through digital transformation, and refers to consumer-centered intelligent factories that combine next-generation digital new technologies and manufacturing technologies beyond the existing factory automation level. In order to successfully settle such a smart factory, it is necessary to train professionals. However, education for smart factories is difficult to have actual field mechanical facilities or overall production processes. Therefore, there is a need for a system that can visualize and control the flow and process of logistics at the actual production site. In this paper, the logistics flow of the actual site was implemented as a small FMS, a physical system, and the production process was implemented as a digital system. In real-time synchronization of the physical system and the digital system, the location of AGV and materials, and the process state can be monitored to see the flow of logistics and process processes at the actual manufacturing site. The developed digital twin system can be used as an effective educational system for training manpower in smart factories.

Development of Smart Mining Technology Level Diagnostics and Assessment Model for Mining Sites (광산 현장의 스마트 마이닝 기술 수준 진단평가 모델 개발)

  • In this study, we proposed a diagnostics and assessment model for mining sites that can evaluate the smart mining technology level in a systematic and structured way. For this, the maturity of the smart mining was defined, and detailed assessment items of the diagnostics and assessment model for smart mining were derived by considering the smart factory diagnostics and assessment model (KS X 9001-3) used in the manufacturing industry. While maintaining the existing system, the existing 46 detailed assessment items were modified to be suitable for mining. As a result, a total of 29 detailed assessment items were derived in the areas of promotion strategy, process, information system and automation, and performance. Based on this, a questionnaire was designed to diagnose the level of smart mining technology, and assessment was performed by applying it to domestic iron mines. The level of smart mining technology in the study area was found to be level 2, and it could be inferred that it was about 40% lower than the average smart level of the general manufacturing industry. In addition, by using the developed model, it was possible to recognize the weak points of the mine at each stage of the introduction, operation, and advancement of smart mining, and to suggest investment and improvement directions.
