Correlation Analysis of Radon Levels using Cluster Algorithm

  • Recently, Radon has been gotten attention for problems of Nuclear Generating Station and a variety of nuclear. It is naturally arises that is accumulated in the interior through the soil with radioactive materials. People exposed to indoor a Radon increase the high risks of lung cancer. The data are consisted of regional Country, The Location, Average Radon pCi/L, Geo Mean and Geo S.D etc. The research is experimented using E-M algorithm. The research result appears to make a division of soil distance, regional and cluster. It requires in effort to minimize exposure to people who live in areas with high radon levels. A country must apprise to people about Radon risk and needs to work out measures plan.

  • A WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is a network that is composed of wireless sensor nodes. There is no restriction on the place where it can be installed because it is composed wirelessly. Instead, sensor nodes have limited energy. Therefore, to use the network for a long time, energy consumption should be minimized. Several protocols have been proposed to minimize energy consumption, and the typical protocol is the LEACH protocol. The LEACH protocol is a cluster-based protocol that minimizes energy consumption by dividing the sensor field into clusters. Depending on how you organize the clusters of sensor field, network lifetimes may increase or decrease. In this paper, we will improve the network lifetime by improving the cluster head selection method in LEACH Protocol.

  • A wireless sensor network is a network in which nodes equipped with sensors capable of collecting data from the real world are configured wirelessly. Because the sensor nodes are configured wirelessly, they have limited power such as batteries. If the battery of the sensor node is exhausted, the node is no longer usable. If more than a certain number of nodes die, the network will not function. There are many wireless sensor network protocols to improve energy efficiency, among which LEACH Protocol is a typical example. The LEACH protocol is a cluster-based protocol that divides sensor space into clusters and transmits and receives data between nodes. Therefore, depending on how the cluster is structured, the shape of the energy cow may decrease or increase. We compare the network lifetimes of the existing LEACH protocols and the three types of protocols that have been improved using fuzzy methods for cluster selection.

Semantic-Based K-Means Clustering for Microblogs Exploiting Folksonomy

  • Recently, with the development of Internet technologies and propagation of smart devices, use of microblogs such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram has been rapidly increasing. Many users check for new information on microblogs because the content on their timelines is continually updating. Therefore, clustering algorithms are necessary to arrange the content of microblogs by grouping them for a user who wants to get the newest information. However, microblogs have word limits, and it has there is not enough information to analyze for content clustering. In this paper, we propose a semantic-based K-means clustering algorithm that not only measures the similarity between the data represented as a vector space model, but also measures the semantic similarity between the data by exploiting the TagCluster for clustering. Through the experimental results on the RepLab2013 Twitter dataset, we show the effectiveness of the semantic-based K-means clustering algorithm.

대학생들의 패션라이프스타일에 따른 웨어러블 스마트 텍스타일 제품의 관심 경향 연구 (Study on the Tendency of Interest of Wearable Textile Products according to College Students' Fashion Life Style)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the trends of product design for textile convergence wearable smart textile fashion products according to college students' fashion life style. In this study, we used information obtained from a questionnaire issued to 201 female college students who were 20 years old for the final analysis. The questionnaires were to classify female college students groups according to the fashion life style, to examine characteristics, needs and wants of each group. The survey on the tendency of wearable smart textiles consisted of 22 items about concept and type of smart clothing product, functional material and intelligent material, recognition, preference, purchase intention, purchase factor and brand preference tendency. A total of 201 samples were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, crosstabs and $x^2-test$ using SPSS package program. 'brand preference oriented type was found to be interested in 'wearable' smart clothing product with monitoring function of bio-signal' and 'high functional fiber and textile product', but the credibility of 'smart clothes that can be worn and smart textile products to be useful in modern life' was low. 'fashionable individuality oriented' type showed interest in 'smart clothing and smart product', 'intelligent fiber' and 'wearable smart clothing product with monitoring function of bio-signal', but the preferences of 'light emitting fiber products' was low. 'practically purchasing-oriented' type was very interested in 'high-functional fiber and its textile products', but had inadequate knowledge on 'smart clothing and smart textile product' and showed low interest. Despite the fact that 'wearable smart clothing and smart textile products' are expensive, they were willing to purchase considering practicality and sophisticated style.

Cluster-Based Mobile Sink Location Management Scheme for Solar-Powered Wireless Sensor Networks

  • In this paper, we propose a sink-location management and data-routing scheme to effectively support the mobile sink in solar-powered WSN. Battery-based wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have a limited lifetime due to their limited energy, but solar energy-based WSNs can be supplied with energy periodically and can operate forever. On the other hand, introduction of mobile sink in WSNs can solve some energy unbalance problem between sink-neighboring nodes and outer nodes which is one of the major challenges in WSNs. However, there is a problem that additional energy should be consumed to notify each sensor node of the location of the randomly moving mobile sink. In the proposed scheme, one of the nodes that harvests enough energy in each cluster are selected as the cluster head, and the location information of the mobile sink is shared only among the cluster heads, thereby reducing the location management overhead. In addition, the overhead for setting the routing path can be removed by transferring data in the opposite direction to the path where the sink-position information is transferred among the heads. Lastly, the access node is introduced to transmit data to the sink more reliably when the sink moves frequently.

Images Positioning of Women's Formal Wear Brands - Tuning in the three department stores in Daejon -

  • The purpose at this study was to analyze and to position the clothing images at women's formal wear brands carried by at least two department stores in Daejon, for providing data for a basic marketing strategy for fashion manufacturers and distributors. The results tram the study were as tallows; The brand that showed the highest classic image was 'BCBG'(83.6%), the brand that showed the highest feminine image was 'Obzee' (80.2%), the brand that showed the highest character image was 'Doho' (84.1%), and the brand that showed the highest mannish image was 'F.Station' (64.1%). On the brands image positioning map, brands, such as 'Deco', 'Mine', 'Time', and 'Anne Klein', lying on or near the point of intersection (where the vertical and horizontal axes meet) showed 4 types. They were 'smart & chic cluster', 'charming & luxury cluster', 'character elegance cluster', and 'sportive elegance cluster' that showed compound images. These clusters would be differentiated tram young casual lines by emphasizing the brands' shape and cut, higher quality fabrics and materials, and elegant and graceful colors. Analysis of target ages and tweed jacket prices for brands carried by at least two department stores showed that the target was between 23 and 50, and that the prices range from 198,000 won to 460,000 won.

Extending the Read Range of UHF Mobile RFID Readers: Arbitration Methods Based on Interference Estimation

  • The read range of UHF mobile readers can be extended by a booster for mobile RFID readers (BoMR). But in an environment where multiple BoMRs are installed, the read success rate may be decreased due to signal interference. This paper proposes three arbitration methods based on interference estimation with the purpose of enhancing the read success rate. A central arbitration server manages global information in centralized arbitration method (CAM) without broadcast/multicast communication facility. In fully distributed arbitration method (FDAM), all the arbitration messages are broadcasted from a BoMR to every BoMR, and each BoMR decides with broadcasted global information. Events in FDAM are serialized naturally with broadcasted messages. Cluster Distributed Arbitration Method (CDAM) forms clusters with multicasted BoMRs and a selected BoMR acts as an arbiter in the cluster. Such effects as lengthened read range, improved the read success rates of readers can be obtained by the proposed methods without any hardware modification. In order to evaluate the arbitration methods, the RFID system is modeled by using the DEVS formalism and simulated by using the DEVSim++.

  • Commercial space tourism is being developed and this trend is expected to continue and accelerate. Although opportunities and threats of space tourism attracted the interest of academia, literature on potential demand, attitudes and people's motivations for space tourism is scarce. In this context, this paper investigates young generations' interest and motivations towards different forms of space tourism. The cluster analysis on 2,207 respondents highlighted an interest in space tourism although motivated by different reasons, levels of budget and sustainability aspects. Interest in space tourism varies according to how far it is perceived as potential, possible or sustainable, or to people's personal feelings. The paper adds to contributions in the tourism field by investigating the opportunities space can offer this industry.

차세대 자동차 통합스마트 모니터 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study of Head Up Display System for Next Generation Vehicle)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차에서 자동차의 속도, 엔진 회전속도, 연료, 엔진 온도, 연료 게이지, 회전표시등과 각종 경보 표시등 정보를 운전자에게 제공하는 차세대용 지능형 통합 스마트 모니터 시스템을 구현하였다. 구현한 지능형 스마트 HUD 모니터 시스템은 박막 트랜지스터 액정 표시 장치, 액정 표시 장치 배경 조명 발광 다이오드, 평면 미러, 특수 제작된 렌즈 및 구동회로로 구성되어 있으며, 운전자 안전성을 고려한 차세대 지능형 자동차 통합 HUD 시스템에 적용 가능함을 나타내었다.
