무선이동통신 제어환경에서 전파특성 및 알고리즘 분석에 관한 연구 (The Study of Analysis Algorithm and Wave Characteristic Control Environment for Wireless Communication)

  • 정보화 시대 사용자의 IT 이용패턴이 유선의 광대역 정보서비스와 동일한 품질의 다양한 형태의 무선 멀티미디어 서비스를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 시대적 변화는 차세대이동통신(IMT-Advanced) 개발의 필요성으로 대두되고 있으며, 현재의 음성, 패킷데이터 통신에서 고속 이동 중에 100Mbps, 정지 및 저속에서 1Gbps까지의 데이터 전송속도를 기반으로 하는 유무선 통합의 유비쿼터스 서비스 제공에 필요한 IMT-Advanced 플랫폼 실현을 위한 준비가 필요한 시점이다. 특히, 3-5GHz대역을 중심으로 이동통신 활용 가능대역 확보에 필요한 주파수 재배치 및 기존역무 간 혼신분석 방법론을 개발하고 있으며, 동 결과를 주파수 확보를 위한 국내 IMT-Advanced용 신규대역 확보를 위한 주파수 특성 및 IMT-Advanced용 주파수인 3-5GHz대역 전파특성을 규명하여 국내 무선통신 기술 개발에 필요한 기반 기술 확보 및 전파간섭 등 주파수 관리 기술을 확인하였다.

독도 서도 및 동도 남부 해안의 파식대 지형 발달 (Geomorphological Development of Shore Platforms at Dongdo and Seodo in the Southern Coast of Dok-do Island)

  • The shore platforms at Dok-do could be an important and clear indicator showing dimensional reduction of Dok-do. Especially flat type shore platforms are distributed in the southern coast of Dok-do island, composed of weak rocks against erosional resistance like interbedded lapilli tuff and massive tuff breccia. The distribution of shore platform is partially related to the wind direction at Dok-do island. The primary SW- and secondary SE winds are representative among wind directions at Dok-do, maintaining from spring to the autumn. Therefore, wide shore platforms could be developed by waves approaching from SW and SE directions in the southern coast of Dok-do. The sea stacks like Gunham-rock, Neopdeok-rock, Keungaje-rock and Jakeungaje-rock on the western coast are also considered to be formed by wave erosion from the SE direction. The shore platforms in the southern coast of Dok-do island were developed since ca. 7,000 yr. BP, when sea level raised almost to the present level. The average extension speed of shore platform was calculated to 4.0mm/y, because the broadest shore platform with the width ca. 28m was extended for ca. 7,000 years. The width's dimension of shore platform at Dok-do reflects a slow extension rate in the present, although erosional process will be faster with the sea level rise in the future.

결함접지면을 이용한 쉬프만 위상 천이기의 소형화 (Minimizing Design of the Schiffman Phase Shifter Using the Defected Ground Structure)

  • 본 논문은 쉬프만 위상 천이기의 소형화 설계를 위하여 마이크로스트립 선로의 접지면에 결함 접지면 구조를 이용하는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. DGS에 의하여 발생하는 부가적인 인덕턴스와 캐패시턴스 성분에 의하여 전파 지연 특성이 표준형 선로보다 크게 나타나는데, 이로 인하여 DGS를 포함한 전송선로의 전기적 길이가 DGS가 없는 표준 전송선로 전기적 길이보다 길게 나타난다. 표준 쉬프만 위상 천이기에 DGS를 삽입하여 전체적으로 15% 정도의 사이즈를 축소할 수 있었다.

Large-scale and small-scale self-excited torsional vibrations of homogeneous and sectional drill strings

  • To simulate the self excited torsional vibrations of rotating drill strings (DSs) in vertical bore-holes, the nonlinear wave models of homogeneous and sectional torsional pendulums are formulated. The stated problem is shown to be of singularly perturbed type because the coefficient appearing before the second derivative of the constitutive nonlinear differential equation is small. The diapasons ${\omega}_b\leq{\omega}\leq{\omega}_l$ of angular velocity ${\omega}$ of the DS rotation are found, where the torsional auto-oscillations (of limit cycles) of the DS bit are generated. The variation of the limit cycle states, i.e. birth (${\omega}={\omega}_b$), evolution (${\omega}_b<{\omega}<{\omega}_l$) and loss (${\omega}={\omega}_l$), with the increase in angular velocity ${\omega}$ is analyzed. It is observed that firstly, at birth state of bifurcation of the limit cycle, the auto-oscillation generated proceeds in the regime of fast and slow motions (multiscale motion) with very small amplitude and it has a relaxation mode with nearly discontinuous angular velocities of elastic twisting. The vibration amplitude increases as ${\omega}$ increases, and then it decreases as ${\omega}$ approaches ${\omega}_l$. Sectional drill strings are also considered, and the conditions of the solution at the point of the upper and lower section joints are deduced. Besides, the peculiarities of the auto-oscillations of the sectional DSs are discussed.

웹툰의 아카이빙 방안 연구 (A Study on the Archiving of Webtoon)

  • The environment of using digital devices has been developed day by day, as mobile communication network has been fast and smart phone and tablet PC have been spread. When the environment changing, the contents consumers prefer have been changing too. The Webtoon became the representative contents of 'Snack culture'. The webtoon has led the growth of cartoon market for years recently instead of the slow comics growth. And it places its elf as contents on a firm basis, as it has been adapted to another genre such as Pay, Flm, TV Drama. Now it's expected to be an extgeneration contents that will lead Han-ryu(Korean wave). Though the webtoon has important and strong presence, there is no digital archive for collecting and preserving the webtoon, Korean Cartoon Contents Agency started making 'webtoon archive', but the groundwork and the study on the webtoon that represents digital culture contents are not enough a lot. In this study, the cases on digital archiving of culture contents in Korea are researched, and the direction on webtoon archiving that has just started is also discussed. The Archiving of webtoon that can't be seperated from digital contents is connected with archiving of digital culture contents in direction where they should be headed to.

수면, 자살, 세로토닌의 상호 관련성 (Relationship between Sleep, Suicide, and Serotonin)

  • One of hypothesis is that sleep loss related to a decrease in serotonergic activity plays a significant role in attempted suicide. A growing evidence suggests that central serotonergic activity plays a key role in the etiology of suicide. It has been reported that the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), the main metabolite of serotonin, were reduced in suicide attempters. In addition, there is evidence that tryptophan hydroxylase is associated with suicide. The association between sleep and suicide was also suggested by some researchers. Several recent studies have showed the association between sleep disturbance and suicide rates in patients with mental disorders and in a general population. In addition, it has been suggested that serotonin plays a role in maintaining arousal and regulating muscle tone and in regulating some of the phasic events of REM sleep. Especially, it is well-known that 5-HT2 receptors are related to slow wave sleep. In conclusion, it is clear that sleep, serotonin activity, and suicide are linked, although the direction of causation needs clarification. In future, large population-based cohort studies are needed to demonstrate the direction of causation in the relationships between sleep, serotonin activity, and suicide.

열구동형 폴리실리콘 마이크로 액츄에이터의 제작 및 특성분석 (Fabrication of Thermally-Driven Polysilicon Microactuator and Its Characterization)

  • A thermally-driven polysilicon microactuator has been fabricated using surface micromachining techniques. It consists of P-doped polysilicon as a structural layer and TEOS(tetraethylorthosilicate) oxide as a sacrificial layer. The polysilicon was annealed for the relaxation of residual stress which is the main cause to its deformation such as bending and buckling. And newly developed HF GPE(gas-phase etching) process was also employed to eliminate the troublesome stiction problem using anhydrous HF gas and CH$_{3}$OH vapor, and successfully fabricated the microactuators. The actuation is incurred by the thermal expansion due to the current flow in the active polysilicon cantilever, which motion is amplified by lever mechanism. The moving distance of polysilicon microactuator was experimentally conformed as large as 21 .mu. m at the input voltage level of 10V and 50Hz square wave. The actuating characteris- tics are also compared with the simulalted results considering heat transfer and thermal expansion in the polysilicon layer. This microactuator technology can be utilized for the fabrication of MEMS (microelectromechanical system) such as microrelay, which requires large displacement or contact force but relatively slow response.

무봉합심근전극을 사용한 인공심박조정기 설치40례 보고 (Ventricular pacing with screw-in sutureless myocardial electrode)

  • We implanted pacemakers using screw-in sutureless myocardial electrode in 40 patients between February, 1980 and November, 1982 at Seoul Nation University Hospital. Mean age of total patient who received the pacemaker implantation was 39.9 years, but excluding the patient who received the open heart surgery, mean age was 49.3 years. Cause of pacemaker implantation was complete A-V block in 13 patients, symptomatic sick sinus syndrome in 12 patients, complete A-V block after open heart surgery in 12 patients, second degree A-V block with dizziness in one patient, and atrial fibrillation with slow ventricular response in two patients. In thirty nine cases, electrodes were implanted by subxiphoid approach, on the diaphragmatic surface of right ventricle. I n one case, electrode was implanted through the left anterior thoracotomy. Acute stimulation threshold, measured in 35 patients, varied from 0.1 to 2.5 mA [mean 0.85 mA.], and R-wave amplitude [sensitivity], measured in 19 patients, varied from 2.9 mV to 11.5 mV [mean 7.6 mV]. There was no hospital death. The postoperative complications included wound seroma in two patients [5%], wound hematoma in three patients [7.5%], and pacing failure in one patient [2.5%]. The subxiphoid implantation of the pacemaker using sutureless myocardial lead was valuable in obtaining safe, reliable and long-term impulse generation.

뇌파 스펙트럼 분석에 의한 마취 심도 지표 개발 (Development for the Index of an Anesthesia Depth using the Power Spectrum Density Analysis)

  • In this paper, new index was developed to estimate the depth of anesthesia during general anesthesia using EEG. Analysis of the power spectral density(PSD) of EEG was used to develop new parameters because EEG signal tends to have slow wave during anesthesia. Classifier for index creator was developed by using SEF, BDR and BTR parameters, which are calculated by power spectral density. EEG data were obtained from 7 patients (ASA I, II) during general anesthesia with Sevoflurane. The anesthetic depth evaluation indexes ranged from 0 to 100. The average were $86.05{\pm}10.1$, $36.98{\pm}20.2$, $15.33{\pm}13.6$, $50.87{\pm}16.5$ and $87.72{\pm}11.7$ for the states of pre-operation, induction of anesthesia, operation, awaked and post-operation, respectively. The results show that while the depth of anesthesia was evaluated, more accurate information can be provided for anesthetician.

수면과 회복력 (Sleep and Resilience)

  • Good sleepers tend to more resilient than poor sleepers. As sleep and resilience may have a bidirectional relationship, it is important to explore the relationship between healthy sleep and resilience. Objectively and subjectively measured sleep quality showed positive association with resiliency. In one study, more resilient adolescents had higher sleep efficiency, less light sleep, more slow-wave sleep, and a smaller number of awakenings after sleep onset. Circadian typology, jetlag and circadian misalignment may be associated with the capacity to deal with adversity. Eveningness, exposure to chronic jetlag and circadian misalignment might be risk factors for development of psychological problems and mental disorders. Additional studies are needed to evaluate whether promoting healthy sleep behaviors results in increased resilience.
