Fatigue analysis of partly damaged RC slabs repaired with overlaid UHPFRC

  • Due to repetitive traffic loadings and environmental attacks, reinforced concrete (RC) bridge deck slabs are suffering from severe degradation, which makes structural repairing an urgency. In this study, the fatigue performance of an RC bridge deck repairing technique using ultra-high performance fiber reinforcement concrete (UHPFRC) overlay is assessed experimentally with a wheel-type loading set-up as well as analytically based on finite element method (FEM) using a crack bridging degradation concept. In both approaches, an original RC slab is firstly preloaded to achieve a partly damaged RC slab which is then repaired with UHPFRC overlay and reloaded. The results indicate that the developed analytical method can predict the experimental fatigue behaviors including displacement evolutions and crack patterns reasonably well. In addition, as the shear stress in the concrete/UHPFRC interface stays relatively low over the calculations, this interface can be simply simulated as perfect. Moreover, superior to the experiments, the numerical method provides fatigue behaviors of not only the repaired but also the unrepaired RC slabs. Due to the high strengths and cracking resistance of UHPFRC, the repaired slab exhibited a decelerated deterioration rate and an extended fatigue life compared with the unrepaired slab. Therefore, the proposed repairing scheme can afford significant strengthen effects and act as a reference for future practices and engineering applications.

  • 본 논문에서는 포스트텐션된 철근콘크리트 슬래브를 특별직교이방성 복합적층판 이론으로 해석하였다. 슬래브의 해석에 있어 단면의 기하학적, 물리적 특성이 중립면에서 휨-연계강성 $B_{ij}=0$ 이고, $D_{16}=D_{26}=0$ 임을 고려하였다. 철근콘크리트 슬래브는 특별직교이방성판으로 거동한다. 이러한 경계조건을 갖는 단면 혹은 불규칙한 단면을 갖는 시스템은 해석적 해를 구하기가 매우 어렵다. 이러한 문제에 대한 해석을 위해서 유한차분법이 이용되었다. 본 논문에서는 유한차분법과 보 이론을 해석을 위해 사용되었다. 그 결과 보 이론에 의한 해석 값이 판 이론의 값에 근접함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 고차모드 시간영역 유한차분법(FDTD)을 이용하여 원통형 메타물질 Slab의 주파수 영역 특성을 정확하게 구하는 방법을 연구하였다. 메타물질의 해석방법에는 분산매질 FDTD방정식이 가장 광범위하게 사용되는데 주파수 분산특성을 갖는 유전율과 투자율 모델을 가정하기 때문에, 주파수 응답특성을 구하기 위해서는 주파수 영역에서 차분방정 식을 전개해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 고차모드 FDTD 방법을 유도하여 기존의 분산매질 FDTD 방법과 비교하여 유전체물질에서는 동일한 결과를 얻을 수 있지만 메타물질 해석에서는 오차가 발생을 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 원통형 메타물질 Slab을 해석하기 위해서 고차모드 FDTD 방법을 이용하면 계산오차를 줄일 수 있고 정확한 주파수 특성을 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 사용하면 메타물질을 이용한 다양한 회로구조에 대하여 정 확한 주파수 특성을 얻을 수 있다.

연약지반에서의 말뚝기초 교대의 측방유동 대책공법 적용에 관한 연구 (A study on the stability of pile bridge abutment on soft ground undergoing lateral flow)

  • An existing studies concern about movement of pile bridge abutments. However, lateral displacement cause the serious failure of bridge by embankment under soft soil lateral flow A intention is obtained by analyzing the relationship between the safety factor of evaluation for lateral movements. Precise investigation and analysis are performed, in which the lateral movement of bridge abutments has occurred, and construct design strut-slab between bridge abutments in order to restraint lateral flow. As a result of this study, it was found that when evaluation for lateral movements is allowed to use Tschebotarioff's method and lateral flow decision number (I) and revision lateral flow decision number (M$_{I}$) by Korea Highway Corporation. Most important thing is decision of pressure of lateral flow at this case. Tschebotarioff's isoscales triangle method have no trouble analysis of pressure of lateral flow. Strut-slab method are nearly not have constructed case in this field site study that applied method. The method are between abutments combined steel strut and reinforced concrete slab. This method are effective restraint lateral flow but have little difficulty if long span bridge between abutments.s.

  • Finite element method and Taguchi method were used to reduce the floor impact vibration of the reinforced concrete slab in the apartment buildings. At first, experimental results show that sound peak components to influence the rating of floor impact sound insulation were coincident with natural frequencies of the reinforced concrete slab, and there is a high linear relation between floor impact vibration and sound. The tables of orthogonal arrays were used for finite element analysis with 5 factors related to slab shape parameters and its results were analyzed by statistical method. The most effective factor to reduce the floor impact vibration was the length of living/kitchen room and the floor impact vibration was predicted by 30% reduction in the acceleration peak by the optimal design values of the factors.

  • In the rail facilities the rail track consists of rail tie fastening accessories and bed,. The rail track is largely divided into Ballast Bed Track(BBT) and Concrete Bed Track(CBT) according to the type of bed. In this thesis among Concrete Bed Track slab track which is used for the Japanese high speed railway is a target of this study. Dynamic analysis by using finite element method are performed. where moving rain load is periodic function. Then through parametric study some conclusions are obtained as follow. Cement Asphalt Mortar(CAM) affects contrary mechanical behavior to rail and slab greatly. Therefore change of CAM spring coefficient should be handled with care, For slab thickness thin slab is more profitable to reduction of vibration of rail than thick one but mechanical capacity of slab is deteriorated, Improved structural type is proposed then structural analysis is performed for this one. This type is effective to reduction of vibration of railway system.

무량판 슬래브와 H형강 기둥 접합부 상세 개발 (Development for Connection Details between Flat Plate Slab and H-Steel Column)

  • The flat plate slab system have many good features, which are design flexibilities, saving of story-height and economy of construction etc. But the study of flat plate slab system for H-steel column have been rare both at home and abroad. Recently high-rise residential and commercial buildings have been constructed in urban areas in Korea. The suggested dowel connection system is more likely to adoptable because it remarkably contribute to save inter story height and also to have many advantages compared with conventional steel works such as H-Steel frame + Deck plate slab system. This study aims at developing design method and program for connection between H-Steel column and flat plate slab system, which contribute to save significantly inter-story height.

  • Receiving room's floor impact sound level is been influenced to various factor of slab thickness, room size, structure etc. This study examined the noise of upper part slab and room mode in receiving room to be importance factor that influence in receiving room level among this factors. According to this study, vibration mode in slab and room mode are concentrated on frequency that is high level relatively. This causes bad effect in floor impact sound level. Therefore, method to reduce floor impact sound level is to change vibration mode using slab upper part's resilient material or reduce room mode in receiving room.

  • Flat plate slab systems are more economical rather than reinforced concrete frame systems because flat plate slab system reduces story height. Furthermore flat plate systems are more popularly needed in construction practice due to flexibility of plan. Korean Concrete Provisions 2003 provide the minimum thickness of the slab that satisfies serviceability requirement to the static displacement. However, floor thickness in residence buildings may not satisfy the floor vibration criteria although the thickness satisfies the serviceability requirements in current design provisions. This study estimates the dynamic properties of floor vibration for existing flat plate slabs, and proposes the slab thickness satisfying the floor vibration criteria. The dynamic response analysis using finite element method and reliability analysis are carried out for this Purpose.
