세라마이드 함유 에토좀의 물성과 피부흡수 (Skin Absorption and Physical Property of Ceramide-added Ethosome)

  • 바이오틴을 피부에 전달하기 위해 고압균질기를 사용하여 바이오틴과 세라마이드를 모두 함유하는 에토좀에 대하여 연구하였다. 바이오틴이 주된 성분으로 사용되었으며, 세라마이드 NP는 인지질 이중층의 지지체로 활용되었다. 바이오틴은 수용성 내부에 포획되었고, 세라마이드 NP는 에토좀의 이중층에 흡착되었다. 세라마이드 NP를 함유한 에토좀의 물성을 살펴보면 소포체의 크기는 80~130 nm, 다분산지수는 0.09~0.16, 제타 전위는 -40~-49 mV로 측정되었다. 세라마이드 NP가 없는 소포체의 크기는 124.80±1.46 nm, 다분산지수와 제타전위는 각각 0.088±0.018과 -45.48±1.27 mV이었다. 따라서 세라마이드 NP가 함유된 에토좀은 세라마이드 NP가 없는 에토좀에 비해 소포체의 물리적 특성이 개선됨을 알 수 있었다. 세라마이드 NP를 함유한 에토좀의 피부흡수율은 12시간 후 6.13~14.98%이었으며, 반면에 세라마이드 NP가 없는 에토좀의 피부흡수율은 7.08%이었다. 결론적으로 세라마이드 NP를 함유한 에토좀은 피부흡수 효율을 향상시킬뿐만 아니라 소포체의 안정성에도 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.

한국인에 있어서 단측 경부 피부연골 새성기형: 증례 보고 (Unilateral cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnant in Korean: A case report)

  • Background: Compared to the frequency of occurrence of pre-auricular skin tag, cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnants is one of congenital, benign neck masses that is very rare all over the world. Most of these rare anomalies are reported in case reports and especially, rare cases of unilateral cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnants have been reported in Korean. Materials & Methods: A 9-year-old male patient visited the hospital on September 2017 for a rod-shaped mass. As a simultaneous diagnosis and treatment method, complete surgical excision was executed. Results: Excised mass was 0.5cm in diameter, 1.2cm in. Histologically, a hyaline and elastic cartilage was found in the core. As a family history, the same remnant was found in the right Anterior neck area of his mother. Conclusion: In this case, it is possible to diagnose and treat simply at the same time and even an optimal aesthetic result can be obtained.

경화공정 및 수분흡수에 따른 복합재료 하니콤 샌드위치 판넬의 접합강도특성 연구 (Bondline Strength Evaluation of Honeycomb Sandwich Panel For Cure Process and Moisture Absorption)

  • In this paper, through a series of comparative experiments, effects of two different cure processing methods, cocure and precure, on the mechanical properties of honeycomb core materials for aircraft applications are considered. Mass of moisture accumulated into the closed cells of the sandwich panel specimen from the measured mass of moisture diffused to the full saturation state into the elements(skin, adhesive layer, Nomex honeycomb), consisting the honeycomb sandwich specimen has been calculated. Water reservoir of 70$\^{C}$ was used to have specimens absorb moisture to see the influence of moisture absorbed into sandwich panel on its mechanical properties. For the repair condition holding for 2 hours at 177$\^{C}$(350℉) temperature, a pressure due to the vapor expansion in each cell of the sandwich panel, which may result in the local separation of the interface between laminated skin and the surface of the honeycomb, has been estimated by vapor pressure-temperature relation from the thermodynamic steam table and compared to the pressure from the ideal gas state equation. The bonding strengths of the laminated skins on the flat surface of the Nomex honeycomb have been compared by the flatwise tension test and climbing drum peel test performed at room temperature for dry, wet and wet-repair specimens, respectively.

중합형 미세토너 합성을 위한 PVA입자 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PVA Particle Manufacturing for Polymerization Type Fine Toner)

  • In order to investigate the possibility of PVA particle as toner, PVA/PVAc particle was manufactured. Fine spherical PVAc particle with emulsifier SDS(sodium Dodecyl Sulfate) and initiator V-50(2,2'- azo bis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride) was manufactured by emulsion polymerization. And then, the PVAc was carried with surface saponification. PVA/PVAc skin core structured particle was obtained under optimum saponification condition. PVA skin side in manufactured PVA/PVAc particles was dyed with 1:2 metal complex type C. I. Acid Yellow 235 and then the dyed PVA particles were observed with a optical microscope. Under given polymerization condition such as SDS concentration, $1.62\times{10}^{-2} \;mol/lH_2O$, V-50 concetration, $3.7\times{10}^{-3}\;mol/lH_2O$ and temperature $50^\circ{C}$ , the high molecular weight of PVAc with Pn 13,900 and PVA with Pn 3,400 was produced. The particle distribution of obtained PVAc microspheres was appeared highly at 60 and $100\mu{m}$, respectively.

  • A new method was developed to prepare microcapsules involving hydrophobic components. A totally new "silicone-resin-polypeptide" was used as the wall materials. The polypeptide was made by hydrolysis of collagen and silk protein and so on, and that was combined with silicone. This microcapsule was easily prepared from silicone-resin-polypeptide in water solution. The ratio of encapsulation in the microcapsule was not only high level as 90%, which had never been reached, but also the particle size could be controlled to obtain very small size (average particle size: 2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$). Moreover, these microcapsules were resistant to high shearing forces and were stable over a long time period. This stable microcapsule was not crushed in pressure with finger spreading, so the core materials hardly touch the skin directly. Application in cosmetics by using microcapsule involving UV absorbents (2-ethylhexy1-4-methoxycinnamate (OMC) and 4-tert-butyl-4' -methoxydibenzoyl-methane (BMDBM)) was examined. It was possible to apply organic UV absorbents in water-rich formulations without any surfactant by using this microcapsule. This formulation demonstrated a good moisturizing and soft skin feel. Therefore, the microcapsule was applied to hair care products. As a result, the sunscreen hair lotion with microcapsule was able to prevent from damaging and decoloring of hair color by UV rays. As just, it was suggested that this microcapsules were be widely applied in cosmetics.cosmetics.

상사축척법에 기반한 저마찰 선박 방오도료의 실선 마찰저항 저감성능 추정 (Full Scale Frictional Resistance Reduction Effect of a Low Frictional Marine Anti-fouling Paint based on a Similarity Scaling Method)

  • In this study, a series of full-scale extrapolation procedures based on the Granville's similarity scaling method, which was employed by Schultz (2007), is modified and then applied to compare the resistance performance between two different anti-fouling coatings. As an analysis example, the low frictional AF coating based on a novel skin-friction reducing polymer named FDR-SPC (Frictional Drag Reduction Self-Polishing Copolymer), which had been invented by the present author, is employed. The low frictional coating, which gives 25.4% skin frictional reduction in lab test, is estimated to give 18.2% total resistance reduction for a 176k DWT bulk carrier.

  • Existent researches about indoor thermal environment have been focused on to seek human's comfort in daytime. Also researches about thermal comfort during the sleeping time that is important for resting and recharging to modern people have been seldom existed. At present, as global warming phenomenon is being continued, most people are going through inconvenience by sultriness during the sleeping hours in sweltering summer night. Therefore we need another control method of an air conditioner to keep human's thermal comfort. Ambient temperature is a common factor of the environment, but analysis of its effect on human body physiology is still unknown. The effect of ambient temperature on human sleep has been increasingly studied in the last decade. This research investigated about optimal indoor temperature to maintain proper skin temperature and comfortable sleep when indoor air is cooled by an air conditioner in sweltering summer night.

高溫環境이 反芻家畜의 체온 및 혈장 Cortisol 농도에 미치는 影響 (Effect of Hot Environment on the Body Temperature and Plasma Cortisol Concentration in Ruminant)

  • Temperatures of blood and skin, respiratory rate and plasma cortisol concentration in sheep at a warm (average ambient temperature of $15.3^{\circ}C$) and a hot (average ambient temperature of $27.0^{\circ}C$ environment were measured to investigate the effect of hot environment on the physiological responses in ruminant. Temperatures of core, mean skin and mean body in sheep were tended to increase at day time and to decrease at night time at both warm and hot environment, while 24-hr average for those temperatures were significantly higher at hot environment than at warm environment (P<0.05). The calculated body heat content was higher in sheep at hot environment than at warm environment (P<0.05). Respiratory rate and plasma cortisol concentration had no significant differences between warm and hot environment, suggesting that sheep were not stress by the hot environment in this experiment. It is, therefore, suggested that sheep were well adopted to hot environment by increasing body heat content against heat stress.

자동화된 공력-구조 연계 시스템을 이용한 소형항공기 날개 샌드위치구조 최적설계 (Optimization of Sandwich Structures of a Small Aircraft Wing using Automated Aero- Structure Interaction Systems)

  • In this research, the design optimization of a composite sandwich has been performed for using as an airplane wing skin. Automated analysis framework for aero-structure interaction is used for calculating load data on the wing. For automated analysis framework, FLUENT is used for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. CFD mesh is generated automatically by using parametric modeling of CATIA and GAMBIT. A computational structure mechanics (CSM) mesh is generated automatically by the parametric method of the CATIA and visual basic script of NASTRAN-FX. The structure is analyzed by ABAQUS. Composite sandwich optimization is performed by NASTRAN SOL200. Design variables are thicknesses of the sandwich core and composite skin panel plies. The objective is to minimize the weight of the wing and constraints are applied for wing tip displacement, global failure index and local failure indexes.

Particle Swarm Optimization을 이용한 다층 구조 레이돔 설계 (Design of Multilayer Radome with Particle Swarm Optimization)

  • 본 논문에서는 PSO(Particle Swarm Optimizaation)를 이용하여 다층 구조(c-sandwich) 레이돔을 설계하고, 레이돔 특성을 분석하였다. PSO를 이용한 레이돔 설계는 두 경우를 바탕으로 설계되었다. 첫 번째는 c-sandwich 레이돔의 skin과 core의 물질이 정해진 상태에서 PSO를 이용하여 각 층들의 최적의 두께를 결정하였으며, 두 번째는 양쪽 skin의 물질과 두께는 고정하고, 가운데 3개의 층에 대해 물질 상수와 두께를 PSO를 이용하여 최적의 값을 결정하였다. 설계된 두 레이돔 모두 0.1 GHz에서 15 GHz 관심 주파수 대역 중, X-band에서 삽입 손실이 -0.3 dB 이내의 우수한 성능을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 레이돔 설계에 PSO를 적용함으로써 빠르고 정확하게 설계 업무를 수행할 수 있음을 보였으며, 경사 입사에 대한 경우에도 최적의 레이돔을 설계할 수 있음을 보였다. 또한 다양한 파라미터의 조합에서도 요구 성능에 부합하는 최적의 값이 결정됨을 보였다. 본 논문의 결과로부터 레이돔을 설계하기 위한 복잡하고 많은 계산을 생략할 수 있으며, 다양한 성능을 가지는 레이돔 설계 및 개발에 활용 할 수 있다.
