'비구(鼻鼽)'에 대한 의사학적 연구 (A Historical Study on the Treatments of 鼻鼽(bí qiú))

  • Rhinitis, inflammation of the nasal cavity caused by the disease in our country that a recent trend is the rapidly increasing number of patients. It causes multiple complications and interfere with daily life and social life in case of being viewed as a mild cold. The rhinitis treatment for symptomatic therapy in modern medicine is staying because the situation is exposing the limitations. so traditional medicine is trying to find a solution but that is not easy. In modern medicine, rhinitis is defined as a set of histological lesions and clinical symptoms, but traditional medicine has developed in dealing with each symptoms in disease. The treatment that doesn't distinguish any treatment in growing numbers of patients does not seem to validate, because doctors treat without considering the difference of recognition. Looking at the symptoms for each, I found that each symptoms and causes are varied according to doctors and era. In spite of considering all of that in treatment, it was ignored or underestimated in modern medicine. Furthermore, in traditional medicine, they just conjugated certain period theory and only had limited treatment by a lack of integrated awareness about definition and mechanism. In addition, in case of mentioning about the causes of prescription in each medical books, there were not enough explain about pathological states. Therefore, these causes should be made to further the research about the validity, pathogenesis and treatment. We can see that theory could be established and modified by the accumulation of clinical experience, observations through classification by each of the causes, prescription and treatment. In traditional medicine simply does not pay attention only to nasal inflammation, such as the impact of Meridian and organs considered to have focused on the fundamental treatment. This increased immune resistance to the modern rhinitis patients may offer new therapeutic approaches. I hope this paper would be helpful to find the treatment with uncovered theory in modern medicine.

사암침법(舍巖鍼法) 경험편(經驗篇)에 대한 소고(小考) - 치료편(治療篇)과 비교(比較)를 중심으로 - (A sturdy on experiential part of Saam acupuncture - focus on comparing with therapeutic part of Saam acupuncture -)

  • Present Saam acupuncture can be divided into two types of Therapeutic part that is composed of physiology, pathology, classification of the symptoms, treatment and Experiential part that is composed of clinical case. Therapeutic part is authored by Saam and experiential part is authored by Ji-san. Experiential part is based on therapeutic part, but it has been changed. So, Measuring "chapter10. Saam acupuncture(apply to therapeutic part)" against "chapter11. Clinical case of Ji-san(apply to experiential part)", Author get to know that experiential part of Saam acupuncture has been changed. "chapter10. Saam acupuncture(apply to therapeutic part)" and "chapter11. Clinical case of Ji-san(apply to experiential part)" belong to "TaeHanUiHakJeonJip Acupuncture part" that is similar to manuscript of Saam acupuncture. The following is changed situation of Saam acupuncture. First, While the theory of Jeong form is already established in therapeutic part, the theory of Seung form is established in experiential part. So, In experiential part, they are equal in their relations. Second, In experiential part, the term that is named 'prescription of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$' has been used since experiential part. Third, Some of spots on the body suitable for acupuncture mentioned in therapeutic part are omitted in experiential part. And to conclude, experiential part play a large role in the establishment and change of early Saam acupuncture.

문제중심학습(PBL) 경험연구 -군사학과 전쟁사 강좌 사례를 중심으로- (Learning Experience Study of Problem Based Learning on War history)

  • 이 연구는 전쟁사 과목에 대하여 2012년 2학기 15주 중 중간고사와 기말고사 주를 제외한 13주간 이루어졌으며 자료의 수집과 동시에 자료의 분석이 이루어졌다. 1개 학기 동안 경험적 연구를 통하여 전쟁사 강좌 문제중심학습법이 효율적이었는지에 대하여는 좀더 연구가 필요하다. 한 학기 동안의 분석해서 나온 개념에 대해서는 강의 시간을 이용하여 학생들과 대화를 가지는 시간을 통해 확인 및 타당화하는 과정을 가졌다. 학생은 1학년 1개반 45명을 대상으로 5명씩 조를 편성하여 9개조로 운영하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면, 초기 교육진행시에는 조별로 진행되는 집단학습의 적응과 학습과정의 불확실성, 제시된 상황에 대한 상황조치 방법 구체화 어려움, 군인이 되고자 하는 의지와 실제 지식의 부족에서 오는 자신감 결여, 조별 토의에서 자신의 역할 미흡에 대한 반성, 자가학습의 중요성과 필요성 인식, 실제 이론과 상황조치간의 괴리 등을 경험하였다. 수업의 중간에는 수업준비의 부담감, 지금 공부하는 것이 과연 임관 후 활용할 수 있을 것인가에 대한 회의감과 갈등, 그러면서도 교수의 지도에 따라 상황조치 완료후 만족감, 학습에 대한 확신감 등을 체험하였다. 수업의 말기에는 자긍심과 자신감 회복, 문제해결의 잠재력 향상, 임관 후 병사들 지도에 대한 자신감 등을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 최근 교수법에 대하여 많은 대학에서 관심을 가지고 있다. 교수는 어떻게 학생들의 능력을 이끌어내고 향상시키는 것인가에 초점을 둔 교육을 지향해야 한다. 사회에서 요구하는 인재 양성을 위해 현 상황에서 적용할 수 있는 가장 이상적인 교수법이 무엇인가에 대한 과제는 계속 연구해야한다.

과학사 과목의 전통 천문의기 학습을 위해 필요한 학습 요소 및 관련 성취기준 위계성 분석 (Hierarchy Analysis of Learning Elements and Related Achievement Standards for Traditional Astronomy in the History of Science Subject)

  • 본 연구에서는 고등학교 과학과 진로선택과목 중 하나인 과학사 과목에 대한 학생들의 선택률이 낮은 문제 상황을 개선하기 위해 과학사 과목의 한국의 전통 과학 단원에서 다루는 전통 천문의기 9종과 관련한 학습 요소 및 성취기준을 분석하여 내용의 적합성과 위계성을 분석하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 학년군을 달리한 과학과 교육과정에서 각각의 천문의기를 교수·학습에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 출발점으로 하여, 전통 천문의기와 관련된 구체적인 성취기준 또는 탐구 활동을 개발하는 후속 연구가 이루어질 수 있다면 한국의 전통 과학문화에 대한 학생들의 인식을 제고할 수 있고, 더 나아가서 과학사 과목에 대한 학생들의 선택률을 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

근대주의 건축에서 모더니티 표상의 문제 - 장식의 배제와 표면의 부각을 중심으로 - (Presentation and Representation of Modernity in Modern Architecture - On Exclusion of Ornament and Emergence of the surface -)

  • Introducing International Style, P. Johnson and H. R. Hitchcock gave three standards to be the Modern, volume and surface, regularity, and exclusion of applied decoration. In spite of the negation of stylistic, formal approach in the Modernist Manifestoes, one usually have understood Modernity in Architecture with its formal character, especially with no ornament and flat, abstract, white surface. Modernism as a new paradigm in architecture have emphasized that there is no representation of anything outside and only present architecture in itself. They said that Modernism only cared about the language of Architecture without figural reference. So apparently there is no way to prove to its Modernity with formal condition. Modernity is in Spirit and contents. But actually we understand well its existence by visual communication This study deals with this difficult situation how Modernity represents itself without visual media and asks the question how simultaneously it presents its thingness and materiality In order to analyse contradictory situation between representation and presentation in Modern Architecture we need to survey the historical process of changing position of ornaments and its meaning in time. With the crisis of representation the role of ornament have seriously changed and divided. It caused the two situation in pre-Modern Architecture. Firstly, Architecture tend to be a high art and formal expression became important much more. The Use of Ornament became a kind of fashion to show the power, class, money. Secondly, Ornament lost its cultural weight and the structure and material aspect became the central in architecture. Rational Structuralism would be the essential character in Modern Architecture. Here the theory of G. Semper and A. Loos on cladding(dressing) and Ornament can help its problems and limits. In the situation without conventional ornament Modernists need to present modernity with new media that only show the thing itself and by that it does not represent any thing else as like the value, idea outside buildings. They believed that only it concerned esthetics and morality in architecture. But in reality it referred to art and machines as like ships, aircraft, and cars. By excluding Ornament and showing the process of clearing, abstract, flat, white surface 'represent' Modernity by the indirect way referring the concept of transparency, reason, sanitation, tectonics, etc. An Ideology and myth intervened architectural discourse to make the doxa about the representation in Architecture. Surface must be a different kind of media and message that can communicate in different way with compared to conventional Ornament. Decorated Shed by R. Venturi and Post-Functionalism by P. Eisenman, that are the most famous post-modern discourse, shows well difficult and contradictory condition in contemporary architecture concerning representation and form, meaning and form.

『본초정화(本草精華)』의 해제(解題)에 관한 역사학적(醫史學的) 접근 (『Bonchojeonghwa(本草精華)』, Medical Historical Approach to Bibliographic Notes)

  • The currently existing "Bonchojeonghwa (本草精華)" is a manuscript without the preface and the epilogue, composed of 2 books in 2 volumes. This book is a quintessence of knowledge on science of medicinal ingredients (medicinal phytology I herbal science) as well as an trial of new development in Chosun medical science. I.e. this book includes surprising change representing medical science in Chosun dynasty as a single publication on science of medicinal ingredients. It holds a value essential to clinician as a specialized book in medicinal ingredients, and Includes richer content on medicinal ingredients than any other books published before. In addition, it is away from boring list-up of superfluous knowledge as seen in "Bonchokangmok(本草綱目)" published in China, and well summarizes essential knowledge which can be used within a range of medicines available in Korea. This book has an outstanding structure that can be even used in today's textbook on science of medicinal ingredients, as it has clear theory, system and classification. Because it handles essential learning points prior to prescription to disease, it is possible to configure new prescription and adjustment of medicinal materials. Moreover, this book can play a good role for linguistic study at the time of publication, because it describes many drugs in Hangul in many parts of the book. "Bonchojeonghwa" includes a variety of animals, plants and mineral resources in Korea, like "Bonchokangmok" which was recently listed in UNESCO. As such, it has a significance in natural history as well as pharmacy in Korean Medicine. It has various academic relationships all in biologic & abiologic aspects. It has importance in sharing future biological resources, building up international potential, setting up the standard for biologic species under IMF system, and becoming a base for resource diplomacy. We should not only see it as a book on medicinal ingredients in terms of Oriental Medicine, but also make an prudent approach to it in terms of study strengthening Korea's national competitiveness. After bibliographical reviewing on the features & characteristics of the only existing copy of "Bonchojeonghwa" housed in Kyujanggak(奎章閣) of Seoul National University, the followings are noted. First, "Bonchojeonghwa" is a specialized book on medicinal ingredients voluntarily made by private hands to distribute knowledge on drugs in the desolate situation after Imjinoeran (Japanese Invasion in 1592), without waiting for governmental help. Second, it raised accessibility and practicality by new editing. Third, it classified 990 different kinds of drugs into plant, animal, and mineral at large, and dassified more in detail into 15 'Bu' and 48 'Ryu' at 258 pages. Fourth, the publication of this book is estimated to be around 1625~1633, at the time of Injo's reign in 17th century. Fifth, it contains the existing & up-to-date knowledge at the time of publication, and it is possible to see the supply-demand situation by Hangul descriptions in 149 places in the book. By the fact that there are many linguistic evidences of 17th century, explains well when the book was published.

회암사(檜巖寺) 수조명분(修造名分)의 변화와 종교적 해법의 유사구조 - 자장(慈藏)의 영향을 중심으로 - (Change in Repairing Cause of Hoeamsa(檜巖寺) and Influence of Jajang(慈藏))

  • The temple Hoeamsa(檜巖寺) was repaired by Naong(懶翁), and with this the power of the temple became far greater to be the greatest Buddhist temple during late Goryeo and early Joseon. Naong's reconstruction of Hoeamsa was originated from Jigong(指空)'s teaching 'Samsan Yangsu(三山兩水)'. But it is not clear whether Samsan Yangsu really meant Hoeamsa. By the way, after 14 years, Naong suddenly remembered this word and began to repair Hoeamsa in a large scale. From this, we can guess that Naong tried to give the contemporary Buddhism some change through the repair of Hoeamsa. But, as King Gongmin(恭愍王) the greatest supporter of Naong was suddenly assassinated, the political situation changed a lot and Naong also died unexpectedly. Naong's death brought out the critical sense to Hoeamsa and, in the process to resolve the crisis, the repair of Hoeamsa began to be justified through diverse religious factors. As these were expanded and developed on and one, Hoeamsa came to be honored as the most divine temple in Korea during the early Joseon dynasty. Furthermore, into the cause structure for the Naong's repair of Hoeamsa, the influence of Jajang was added through Odaesan Buddhism. As we can well understand, late Silla situation of Jajang and the late Goryeo of Naong were very similar and the both Buddhist leaders should have derived out some religious solution for them. In other words, both of them had a similar recognition in finding the religious solution for the contemporary crises. It becomes a way to understand the Hoeamsa repairing structure taken by Naong and his disciples. Therefore, by comparing the similar religious solution structures given by Jajang and Naong and by clearer understanding on Samsan Yangsu spirit, we can see the repair of Hoeamsa and the related aspects more accurately.

해역별 기름유출사고 위험도 매핑 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Regional Risk Mapping Program for Marine Oil Spills)

  • 본 연구에서는 시스템 다이내믹스 기법을 적용하여 기름유출사고의 동태적 현상을 분석하고, 기름유출 사고초기 사고해역의 위험성을 판단할 수 있도록 기름유출사고의 사고이력에 기초하여 해역별 위험도를 산출하고 위험도 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이를 통해 다음의 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 기름유출사고 고유데이터를 기초하여 전혀 다른 변수를 단일점수로 산출했으며, 해역별 기름유출 위험도를 정량적인 수치로 산출했다. 둘째, 산출된 사고별 위험도로 해역별 위험도를 도출했으며 이용의 극대화를 위해 스마트기기에서 실행기 가능한 프로그램을 구현했다. 셋째, 우리나라 해역별 기름오염 위험도를 직접적으로 비교평가가 가능해졌으며, 긴급시 신속한 의사결정을 유도할 수 있다. 기름유출사고 위험도를 특별한 제약없이 편리하고 신속하게 판단할 수 있게 됨에 따라 기름유출사고의 선제적인 대비(전략)에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이라 판단된다.

16 ~ 17세기 조선의 벽역의서(闢疫醫書)를 통해 살펴본 온역학(瘟疫學)의 특징 (The Characteristics of Epidemiology Examined through Translated Medical Books in the 16th~17th Century in the Chosun Dynasty)

  • Because the size of population was directly related to the power of the nation in the Chosun Dynasty, various efforts were exerted to maintain the size stable and the keys to the efforts were a high birth rate and a low death rate. However, in addition to wars, epidemic diseases had an enormous effect on the death rate. Particularly during the mid Chosun Dynasty, epidemic diseases were more prevalent than ever due to the abnormal climate called the little ice age. To cope with them, the government executed several medical relief policies and published medical books. In Chinese epidemiology, infectious diseases mean sicknesses caused by hot weather, but in Korean epidemiology, they indicate large-scale infectious sicknesses caused by both hot and cold weather. Therefore, as treatment methods for diseases from the cold were not applicable to the pathology of epidemic diseases, China developed separate epidemiology. In Korea, however, the main concern was how to prevent epidemic diseases, whether from hot or cold weather, that drove many lives into death. The characteristics of Korean epidemiology are as follows. First, whenever epidemic diseases were prevalent, in order to cope with them, translated medical books were promptly published including Ganibyeokonbang, Bunmunonyeokihaebang, Sinchanbyeokonbang, Byeokyeoksinbang and Byeokonsinbang. Second, those books were annotated in Korean so that people could read easily and accurately. Third, as an extension of the Hyangyak movement from the late Koryo Dynasty, Danbang was used a lot to treat and prevent epidemic diseases with less financial burden, and things obtainable easily according to individuals' situation were mentioned for anybody to overcome the emergent situation of epidemic diseases. Fourth, methods for praying to God were suggested for practitioners to work with sincere spirit and to keep themselves from epidemic diseases.
