교육용 디지털 논리회로 시뮬레이터 설계 및 구현 (Design & Implementation of an Educational Digital Logic Circuit Simulator)

  • 기존의 교육용 디지털 시뮬레이터들은 논리소자(AND, OR gate 등)의 입력 포트 수, 선의 상태변화, custom component등에 대한 제한이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 제한을 완화시키고, 큰 규모의 논리를 여러 개의 도면으로 나누어 처리할 수 있는 확장형 디지털 논리 회로 시뮬레이터 XSIM (eXpandable digital logic circuit SIMulator)을 제안한다. XSIM은 큰 회로를 여러 개의 페이지로 나누어 작업이 가능함으로 복잡한 논리도면 구성이나, 팀별수업에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

간호교육에서의 환자시뮬레이션 교육 현황 (The Current Use of Human Patient Simulators in Nursing Schools in Korea)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to explore the current usage of high integration mannequin human patient simulators (hereafter HPS) in nursing education. Methods: Thirty-two faculty members in 11 nursing schools participated in this survey. the questionnaire consisted of some multiple-choice questions and open questions to collect data on the experience of faculty members with using HPS as well as quantitative information. Results: The faculty members who used HPS in their classes recognized the need to use simulation in nursing education. They identified the advantages of simulation education as promoting adaptation to the clinical environment(46.9%), promoting self-confidence(28.1%), promoting critical thinking(28.15), and making direct nursing skill practice available(28.1%). However, they considered the obstacles to the use of simulation in nursing education to be insufficient manpower(62.5%), insufficient time(40.6%), and difficulty in preparing a teaching strategy(34.4%). Conclusion: HPS is useful in nursing education, but systematic plans and policies regarding on its operation are needed to confirm its effectiveness. The results of this study generally provide a basic information for use of HPS in nursing education.

기관실 시뮬레이터 제작을 위한 3상유도전동기의 실용적 모델링 설계 (A practical modelling design of 3 phase induction motors for configuring engine room simulators)

  • 기관실 시뮬레이터에서 3상유도전동기에 대한 모델링을 단순하게 처리하는 경우에는 왜곡된 특성에 의해 각종 전기 기계적 모의 성능 수준이 크게 저하된다. 한편, 전동기 특성을 1, 2차 측 파라미터로 구분하는 기존의 등가회로 방식들은 복잡한 실험을 거치거나 상세 기술 자료가 확보되지 않고는 현장 전동기에 대한 회로에서의 파라미터 값들을 확정하지 못한다는 점에서 정격제원 정도만 주어지는 기관실 시뮬레이터의 개발 작업 환경에서는 사용할 수가 없다. 이러한 문제의 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 최소 파라미터에 의한 전원 직결의 2 회로정수 방식 등가회로를 제시하였으며 이로부터 정격제원에 의해 회로정수가 결정되기까지의 조건과 과정 및 관련 식들을 해석하였다. 또한 실제 전동기에 이를 적용하여 얻어지는 특성곡선들을 통해 임의의 전동기에 대한 근사특성과 실용성을 확인하였다.

Development of Mock Control Devices and Data Acquisition Apparatus for Power Tiller Training Simulator

  • Training power tiller operators in safe farming is necessary to avoid farming accidents. With the continuing progress in computational technology, driving simulators have become increasingly popular for conducting such training. Purpose: The objective of this study is to develop mock control devices and data acquisition apparatus for a tiller simulator. Methods: Except for the stand and tail wheel adjusting levers, the mock control devices were developed using a tiller handle assay. The data acquisition apparatus was realized using an embedded data-logging device and LabVIEW, the system design software. Results: The control devices of a real handle assay were successfully mimicked by the mock operator control devices, which used sensors for the relevant measurements. The data from the mock devices were acquired and transmitted to the main computer at intervals of 10 ms via Wi-Fi. Conclusions: The developed mock control devices operate similar to real power tillers and can be utilized in power tiller training simulators.

  • As the cost of photovoltaic(PV) generation systems continues to decrease, utility interactive systems are becoming more economically viable. Furthermore, increases in consumer awareness correspond to a willingness to pay a premium price for clean electrical energy generated using renewable energy resources. Especially, PV generation systems, in particular, is undergoing a rapid expansion-showing an industrial growth of approximately 40$\%$ per year in the worldwide, as PV cell and systems technology improve new markets become increasingly accessible. This has resulted in an increased demand for the simulation scheme and operational technologies of utility interactive PV devices and systems. The simulation schemes that can be applied to the utility interactive PV generation systems readily and cheaply under various conditions considering the sort of solar cell, the capacity of systems and the converter system as well are strongly expected and emphasized among researchers. So far, authors have been introducing the simulation method of PV generation systems with several papers. In this paper, authors introduce the simulation way of PV generation systems using EMTP type simulators; EMTP/ATP, EMTDC/PSCAD, RTDS, with each examples. And, by connecting the voltage amplifier to the RTDS a novel simulation method which is extremely close to the real condition of PV generation system is also introduced.

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지 이론을 이용한 차량용 지능형 자동 변속 알고리즘을 제안하고, 알고리즘 성능 및 최적화 분석이 가능한 시뮬레이터를 개발한다. 제안된 지능형 자동변속 알고리즘은 목표 속도 도달 시간 및 구간 가속의 성능 저하 없이 엔진 회전수 변화를 적게 하여 승차감을 개선하고, 구간 시간 내의 구동력 사용량을 줄임으로써 에너지 효율을 향상 시킨다. 또한, 모의 실험이 가능한 시뮬레이터를 개발하여 다양한 조건에서의 알고리즘 성능을 분석하고, 알고리즘 최적화 및 실용화 개발 비용 절감에 기여한다. 시뮬레이터를 이용한 모의실험을 통하여 일반 자동변속기와 제안된 자동변속기의 성능을 검증하고 시뮬레이터를 이용한 최적화 작업의 간단한 예를 보인다.

  • We developed ultra-accelerated quantum chemical molecular dynamics and characterization simulators for study and design of plasma display panel (PDP) related materials. By use of these simulators, realistic structure of PDP materials is drawn on the computer. Furthermore, based on the structures, various properties such as secondary electron emission coefficient are successfully evaluated. In this report, we will discuss the theoretical secondary electron emission coefficient for several protecting layer materials and the effect of surface structure on the properties based on the result of atomistic simulations.

EMTP MODELS를 이용한 거리 계전기 응동 시뮬레이션 (A Dynamic Simulation of Distance Relay Using EMTP MODELS)

  • Digital technology has advanced very significantly over the years both in terms of software tools and hardware available. It is now applied extensively in many area of electrical engineering including protective relaying in power systems. Digital relays based on digital technology have many advantages over the traditional analog relays. The digital relay is able to do what is difficult or impossible in the analog relays. However, the complex algorithms associated with the digital relays are difficult to test and verify in real time on real power systems. Although non real-time simulators like PSCAD/EMTDC are employed to test the algorithms, such simulations have the disadvantage that they cannot test the relay dynamically. Hence, real-time simulators like RTDS are used, but the latter needs large space and it is very expensive. This paper uses EMTP MODELS to simulate the power system and the distance relay. The distance relay algorithm is constructed and the distance relay is interfaced with a test power system. The distance relays performance is then assessed interactively under various fault types, fault distances and fault inception angles. The test results show that we can simulate the distance relay effectively and we can examine the operation of the distance relay very closely including debugging by using EMTP MODELS.

혈관계의 특성이 반영된 심혈관계 시뮬레이터의 개발 (Development of a Cardiovascular Simulator with Cardiovascular Characteristics)

  • Objectives: Existing cardiovascular simulators are used to evaluate artificial organs such as artificial hearts, prosthetic valves, and artificial blood vessels, and pulses are typically triggered using artificial hearts. However, the forms of pulse waves vary according to the location of arteries, and for precise assessment of artificial blood vessels, the development of simulators that generate diverse pressure pulse waves is necessary. This study developed a novel cardiovascular simulator that generates different forms of pulse waves. Methods: This simulator consists of a stepping motor, a slider-crank mechanism that transforms the rotation movement of a motor into the straight-line motion of a piston, a piston that generates pulsatile flows, a water tank that supplies fluids, an elastic tube made of silicon, and a device that adjusts the terminal resistance of fluids. Results & Conclusion: This study examined motor rotation and its operation under conditions similar to the physiological conditions of the heart. The simulator developed in this study produced diverse forms of waves, and the generated pressure waves well satisfied physiological conditions.

나노 구조 소자 시뮬레이션을 위한 상용 시뮬레이터의 비교 분석 - ISE-TCAD와 Micro-tec을 중심으로 - (Comparison on commercial simulators for nano-structure device simulation- For ISE-TCAD and Micro-tec -)

  • MOSFET는 전력감소, 도핑농도 증가, 캐리어 속도 증가를 위해서 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 이러한 변화를 받아들이기 위해서, 채널의 길이와 공급전압이 감소해야만하며, 그것으로 인해 소자가 더욱 작아지게 되었다. 현존하고 있는 시뮬레이션 프로그램은 많은 기술자와 과학자들에 의해 개발되어졌다. 본 논문에서는 상용화되어지고 있는 두 가지 시뮬레이터인 Micro-tec과 ISE-TCAD을 사용하여 나노 구조 소자를 시뮬레이션하여 비교하였다. 소자의 게이트 길이(Lg)는 180nm를 사용하였다. 두 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 MOSFET의 특성과 I-V 곡선 및 전계에 대해서 비교 분석하였다.
