We consider a non-empty subset having same local dimension of a self-similar measure on a most generalized Cantor set. We study trans-formed lower(upper) local dimensions of an element of the subset which are local dimensions of all the self-similar measures on the most generalized Cantor set. They give better information of Hausdorff(packing) dimension of the afore-mentioned subset than those only from local dimension of a given self-similar measure.

휴대용 단말기와 이동통신 기술의 발달로 무선 네트워크의 사용이 급증하면서 호스트가 이동중에도 지속적인 네트워킹이 가능한 프로토콜들이 개발되고 있다. Mobile IP는 이동 노드(mobile node)가 인터넷상의 임의의 다른 위치에 접속하여 IP 주소를 변경하지 않고, 홈 주소를 이용하여 통신하며 위치에 따른 care-of address에 의해 데이타를 터널링하여 전달받는다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 self-similar 트래픽을 갖는 mobile IP의 성능을 분석한다. 일반적으로 데이타 트래픽, 바인딩 갱신시간, 버퍼관리 방법 등은 핸드오프 동안 mobile LP의 성능에 많은 영향을 비친다. 따라서 시뮬레이션 모델을 이용하여 self-similar 트래픽 환경에서 위에 언급된 성능 파라미터들의 영향을 분석한다.

In this paper we give conditions on a matrix which guarantee that it is similar to a centrosymmetric matrix. We use this conditions to show that some 4 × 4 and 6 × 6 Toeplitz matrices are similar to centrosymmetric matrices. Furthermore, we give conditions for a matrix to be similar to a matrix which has a centrosymmetric principal submatrix, and conditions under which a matrix can be dilated to a matrix similar to a centrosymmetric matrix.

For the forward-backward semimartingale, we can define the backward semimartingale flow which is generated by the backward canonical stochastic differential equation. Therefore, we define the backward self-similar stochastic processes, and we study the backward self-similar stochastic flows through the canonical stochastic differential equations.

유사 문헌 검색 시스템은 추출된 색인어 중에서 어떤 것을 선택하는가에 따라 검색 결과에 많은 차이점이 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 추출된 후보 색인어의 선정의 오류를 최소한으로 하는 방법을 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 유사문헌에서 추출된 후보 색인어들을 이용하여 인접한 단어들의 정보와 추출된 키워드 주제어 정보를 이용하였다. 그리고 관련 저자들 정보와 검색 결과의 재순위화 방법을 이용하여 보다 정확도가 높은 유사 문헌 검색 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술 학회마을 데이터베이스를 이용하여 실험하였다. 실험과 사용자 평가를 통해서 유사 문헌 검색 시스템의 성능을 입증하였다.

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is made up of a number of sensor nodes and base stations. Traffic flow in WSN appears self-similar due to its data delivery process, and this impacts queue length greatly and makes queuing delay worse. Active queue management can be designed to improve QoS performance for WSN. In this paper, we propose self-similar traffic rate estimating algorithm named Power-Law Moving Averaging (PLMA) to regulate packet marking probability. This algorithm improves the availability of the rate estimation algorithm under the self-similar traffic condition. Then, we propose an adaptive Proportional Integral algorithm (SSPI) based on the estimation of the Self-Similar traffic rate by PLMA. Simulation results show that SSPI can achieve lower queue length jitter and smaller setting time than PI.

LAN, WAN 및 VBR 트래픽 특성에 관한 최근의 실험적 연구들은 기존의 Poisson 가정에 의한 모델들이 네트워크 트래픽의 장기간 의존성 및 self-similar 특성들을 과소평가 함으로써, 실제 트래픽의 특성을 제대로 나타낼 수 없다는 것을 지적해 왔다. 본 본문에서는 실시간 운영중인 Ethernet 트래픽을 측정하여, 통계학적인 접근법들을 통해 이러한 self-similar 특성들에 대해 평가하였다. 그리고 exactly self-similar 모델링인 Pareto-like ON/OFF 소스 모델링에 의한 트래픽과 기존의 Poisson 모델링을 비교 분석함으로써, self-similar 트래픽이 실제의 Ethernet 트래픽 특성을 잘 반영한다는 것을 보였다.

As the ultimate goal of the Aeronautical communication is delivery of information, it is essential to communicate via accurate use of language; there are possibilities of errors occurring as the exchange of information between pilot and air traffic controller is conducted through radio communication. Especially, there are frequently reported errors in radio communication in the event that two or more aircrafts using similar call-signs are operated in one sector. In this paper, a list of errors, which can possibly caused by air traffic controllers when controlling airplanes using similar call-signs, was derived through preceding researches and theories related to similar call-signs and human errors. Based on this list, an experiment was conducted on 52 air traffic controllers working at "J" international airport. For this experiment, ATC2K which is a simulated approach control radar developed in Korea, was used; and a regression formula was derived by analyzing the quantity of frequency change in error occurrence when controlling two or more airplanes using similar call-signs base on a premeditated scenario.The data presented in this research has useful findings and concepts for understanding the errors that can possibly occur while controlling airplanes using similar call-signs.

기존의 큐잉 분석은 네트워크 용량설계 및 성능 예측을 할 때 상당히 유용하지만, 대부분의 실제 경우에서 큐잉 분석으로부터 예측된 결과는 실제 관측된 성능과는 상당히 다르다. 특히, 최근 몇 년 동안 몇몇 환경에서 트래픽 패턴이 Poisson 패턴보다는 차라리 Self-similar 패턴에 더 가깝다는 것이 입증되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 Self-similar 확률과정의 정의 및 트래픽의 특성, 그리고 최근 논문들에서 보고된 사례에 대해서 고찰해 봄으로써, 실제의 데이터 트래픽 특성에 대해 더 나은 이해를 제공하고자 한다.

ATM 망에서 전송률 기반의 ABR(Available Bit Rate) 흐름제어를 위한 스위치는 크게 EFCI(Explicit Forward Congestion Indication)와 ER(Explicit Rate) 스위치로 구분하고 있다. 기존의 논문에서는 효율적인 ABR 트래픽 관리를 위해 EFCI와 ER 스위치 방식의 상호 혼용 운영의 타당성을 밝히고 ABR 트래픽을 poisson 패턴으로 간주하고 EFCI와 ER 스위치 알고리즘에 적용했었다. 그러나 최근 네트워크 환경에서는 트래픽 패턴이 poisson 패턴 보다는 self-similar 패턴에 더 가깝다는 것이 입증되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 self-similar 트래픽 패턴을 적용시켜 기존의 poisson 패턴의 ATM 망 내에서의 EFCI와 ER 스위치 상의 ABR 트래픽 성능분석을 비교, 고찰 하고자 한다.
