This study is semiotic analysis about 'dumb ways to die' that is produced by Melbourne Railway of Australia in 2012. By analyzing the symbolic representations through 'Actants model' of A.J. Greimas, extract the relationship between signification of the represented object in 'dumb ways to die'. Greimas' model helps to analyze the semiotic interpretation action that occurs above a layer of discourse. In addition, this study is to compare the property to distinguish the Semiotic 'Actants' to cause the behavior of the recipient by represented in the same ideological situation. This can determine the properties of the signification and gauge the level of symbolic images that are reproduced in the discourse process. Accordingly, guidance to become a developer by extracting the reproduction principle of the video that causes a user's action.

This research premises that design failure in the market can stem partially from the gap between designer's communication intension through design and consumer's signification for design. Therefore, it's necessary that designers should examine and understand consumer's signification process for design factors or overall design images that they consider in the design process. For this, this research suggests that understanding consumer's signification process is possible by performing value categorization, consumer segmentation, value identification of main target consumers and relationship examination between value of target consumers and design attributes based on Means-End model by reviewing various theoretical backgrounds. In addition, this research suggests contents and methods for performing each step of understanding consumer's signification process. Also, Laddering was suggested as a method for the study and a case study was performed by it. Finally this research claims that understanding consumer's signification process can be one of the methods that decrease failure possibility rather increase success possibility of design in the market.

The purpose of this study is to analyse how a mathematically gifted student constructs a nested signification model of three signs, while he abstracts the solution of a given NIM game. The findings of a qualitative case study have led to conclusions as follows. In general, we know that most of mathematically gifted students(within top 0.01%) in the elementary school might be excellent in constructing representamen and interpretant But it depends on the cases. While a student, one of best, is making the meaning of object in general level of abstraction, he also has a difficulty in rising from general level to formal level. When he made the interpretant in general level with researcher's advice, he was able to rise formal level and constructed a nested signification model of three signs. We suggested 3 considerations to teach the mathematically gifted students in elementary school level.

The purpose of this study is to understand interrelation between design thinking system and creativity, and to analyze designer how to develop personal conception and attitude in interior design through the method of analogy for signification. The process of this study is illustrated as follows: 1. Introduction of general theories about analogical grammar and signification of analogy. 2. Investigating possibility of analogy as creative thinking method in interior design for meaning development. 3. Establishment of design process model for analogical design based on the case study through the design field. That is, concept and process of analogical design is shown objectively by application in collective residential design as commercial product strategy. Through this process, this study presents possibility of giving meaning in interior space through consilience between source and target of analogy. Finally, it examines analogical method is major strategy for ideation and mechanism for meaning development in interior design.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how a mathematics teacher and a high school student make the meaning in a graph and how aspects of the interpretation of a graph are interacted during the signification process, and to suggest considerations for teaching and learning of a graph. The findings of a case study have led to conclusions as follows: All of them have a difficulty in making the meaning in a graph and construct the meaning as a nested signification model. In the process which they make the meaning, they interrelate cognitive, contextual, and affective aspects and construct interpretants. In this process, a teacher focuses on cognitive aspect, based on a qualitative approach. But a student considers contextual aspect more, based on a quantitative approach. This study suggests three considerations for teaching and learning of a graph.

As Simpson et al. (1990) emphasized the importance of the straining process in the stratification and mixing in the estuarine circulation process, various researches have investigated on the relative contribution of each process to the overall potential energy anomaly dynamics. However, many numerical works have done only for two dimensional modeling along channel or the short distance cross sectional three dimensional simulations as Burchard et al. (2008) and the estuarine channel was not simulated so far. But, in the study on the physics of shallow coastal seas, spatial dimension in the three dimensional way affects significantly on results of a particular numerical model. Therefore, the comparison of two and three dimensional models is important to understand the real physics of mixing and stratification in an estuary. Also, as Geyer and MacCready (2013) pointed out that the lateral process seems to be important in determining the periodic stratifications, to study such process the three dimensional modeling must be required. The present study uses a numerical model to show the signification roles of each term of the time-dependent dynamic equation for the potential energy anomaly (PEA) in controlling along and lateral channel flows and different stratification structures. Moreover, we present the relationships between the ${\Phi}$-advection, the depth mean straining, vertical mixing and vertical advection can explain well how water level, salinity distribution and across velocity 2D model are slightly different from 3D.

In the study, conceiving that signifying processes like model, setting, advertisement and description are important to promote the purchase of clothes that would satisfy consumer's desire by their expressing mode, I considered the processes of components of which fashion ads consist. As for the methods to study, I regarded the results presented from prior researches of clothing & textiles and other disciplines for the components of fashion ads and objectified their image that may be interpreted subjectively: and then, I adopted to analyse them using advertisement-semiological method to make clear the signifying processes. The results are as follow: 1. Fashion ad, one of visual symbols to transfer brand image, conveys the image with which various components are combined like model, clothes, setting and description as signs. ① the image of clothes amy be differently expressed according to social, cultural norm and individual characteristics, in the case of clothes, therefore, the signified can be regarded as the transferred image by design of the clothes① sign, and the abstract conception which may be rise to mind by the image in a ceratin culture. ② Each signifier such as countenance, line of vision, attitude and hairstyle of a model conveys different image, or the signified, respectively, and it amy operate as a sign that can express the brand image symbolically. ③ The signifiers like background, color and property symbolize the advertised merchandise of clothes and define it attribute.. 2. In the case of fashion ads, key referent systems are fashion phenomena, contemporary role image, social psychology, common morality, and social, economical and milieu.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to present the desirable model for the promotion of care coordination between Korean Medicine and Western Medicine and develope the instrument to measure the level of coordination. Moreover, we verified the validity and reliability of the developed Instrument. Method : In this study, We developed the 16 items regarding care coordination in Korean Medicine and Western Medicine by literature review and expert interviews. In addition, we verified the validity and reliability of the instrument as a methodological research. Results : We developed two factors such as 'Inter-professional activities' and 'Organizational support' as the instrument to measure the level of care coordination, and each of seven, eight total of 15 measurement items are listed. Conclusion : Since the legal permission, the level and type of care coordination and the effects of them are needed to be checked. So, the measurement instrument driven by this study has a political signification in healthcare system specially in these times. In addition, by utilizing this instrument, we propose to perform a variety of future studies on the levels of healthcare coordination and related outcomes.
