  • This paper relates 10% shrink from $0.13{\mu}m$ design for core devices as well as input and output (I/O) devices different from previous poly length shrink size only. We analyzed body effect with different channel length and doping profile simulation. After fixing the gate oxide module process, LDD implant conditions were optimized such as decoupled plasma nitridation of gate oxide, TEOS oxide $100{\AA}$ before LDD implant and 22o tilt-angle(45o twist-angle) LDD implant respectively to match the spice DC parameters of pre-shrink and finally matched them within 5%.

  • The shrink parameter in ridge regression may be contaminated by outlying points. We propose robust cross validation scores in ridge regression instead of classical cross validation. We use robust location estimators such as median, least trimmed squares, absolute mean for robust cross validation scores. The robust scores have global robustness. Simulations are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed estimators.

  • To find the optimal solution as rapidly and exactly as possible with Nelder-Mead simplex algorithm, the present values of the reflection, expansion, contraction and/or shrink parameters of this algorithm are needed to be changed at appropriate time during the search process. The reflection parameter is selected in this study in order to be changed because reflection, expansion and contraction process can be simultaneously effected by only this parameter. Two independent indices for determining whether the present value of the reflection parameter of this algorithm should be changed or not during the search process are suggested in this study. Those indices were made of the equations of Nelder-Mead simplex algorithm's convergence criterion and Dennis-Wood's convergence criterion, respectively. It is appeared that the optimal solution can be find with smaller numbers of objective function evaluation than the original Nelder-Mead's one with fixed parameter when the those indices are used during the search process. and the more remarkable reduction effect of the number of an objective function evaluation can be obtained when the latter index is used.

  • This paper presents the optimization technique to analyze the effect of the design parameters of rapid prototyping system for human brain model fabrication. The optimization method considers the functional relationships among the design parameters such as thickness gap, shrink rate, and laser speed that govern the operation of fabrication system. This paper applies a discrete optimization technique as the optimization method to determine the dominant parameter values. Additional study includes manner of complement surface image of ellipse which approximates the brain model using the adaptive slicing and the offset contour. According to the parameters tuning and interaction of effect, more suitable parameter values can be obtained by enhanced 3D brain model fabrication.

  • Power Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor's (MOSFETs) are well known for superior switching speed, and they require very little gate drive power because of the insulated gate. In these respects, power MOSFETs approach the characteristics of an "ideal switch". The main drawback is on-resistance RDS(on) and its strong positive temperature coefficient. While this process has been driven by market place competition with operating parameters determined by products, manufacturing technology innovations that have not necessarily followed such a consistent path have enabled it. This treatise briefly examines metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) device characteristics and elucidates important future issues which semiconductor technologists face as they attempt to continue the rate of progress to the identified terminus of the technology shrink path in about 2020. We could find at the electrical property as variation p base dose. Ultimately, its ON state voltage drop was enhanced also shrink chip size. To obtain an optimized parameter and design, we have simulated over 500 V Field ring using 8 Field rings. Field ring width was $3{\mu}m$ and P base dose was $1e15cm^2$. Also the numerical multiple $2.52cm^2$ was obtained which indicates the doping limit of the original device. We have simulated diffusion condition was split from $1,150^{\circ}C$ to $1,200^{\circ}C$. And then $1,150^{\circ}C$ diffusion time was best condition for break down voltage.

  • This paper discusses the maintenance of the water level of steam generators at its programmed value. The process, the water level of a steam generator, has the nonminimum phase property. So, it causes a reverse dynamics called a swell and shrink phenomenon. This phenomenon is severe in a low power condition below 15 %, in turn makes the start-up of the power plant too difficult. The control algorithm used here incorporates a pole-assignment scheme into the minimum variance strategy and we use a parallel adaptation algorithm for the parameter estimation, which is robust to noises. As a result, the total control system can keep the water level constant during full power by locating closed-loop poles appropriately, although the process has the characteristics of high complexity and nonlinearity. Also, the extra perturbation signals are added to the input signal such that the control system guarantee persistently exciting. In order to confirm the control performance of a proposed pole-assignment self-tuning controller we perform a computer simulation in full power range.

  • In two-fluid simulations of flow boiling, the modeling of the mean bubble diameter is a key parameter in the closure relations governing the intefacial transfer of mass, momentum, and energy. Monodispersed approach proved to be insufficient to describe the significant variation in bubble size during flow boiling in a heated pipe. A population balance model (PBM) has been employed to address these shortcomings. During nucleate boiling, vapor bubbles of a certain size are formed on the heated wall, detach and migrate into the bulk flow. These bubbles then grow, shrink or disintegrate by evaporation, condensation, breakage and aggregation. In this study, a parametric analysis of the PBM aggregation and breakage models has been performed to investigate their effect on the radial distribution of the mean bubble diameter and vapor volume fraction. The simulation results are compared with the DEBORA experiments (Garnier et al., 2001). In addition, the influence of PBM parameters on the local distribution of individual bubble size groups was also studied. The results have shown that the modeling of aggregation process has the largest influence on the results and is mainly dictated by the collisions due to flow turbulence.

  • The Construction Engineering Industry (CEI) is construction field based on professional knowledge, staff and information service, and is distinguished by construction activity. The contemporary CEI market has extended globally and diversified construction work classifications. International construction engineering companies now have an important economic and social effect. Over the last five years (2009 to 2013), the top-200 global engineering firms reported global revenue that grew from 54.4 billion to 71.5 billion, about 27% growth (ENR, 2014). Countries such as the U.S.A., Canada, those in Europe (Several developed countries, i.e., United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Spain, France, Italy, and Spain), Australia, Japan, China, and Korea comprise the bulk of world construction engineering revenue. Although the construction engineering market continues to grow, much of the work is limited to Europe, mid-Asia, and Asia. Additionally, specific construction types are focused on building projects, industrial plants, and refining plants. As such, there are imbalances in the construction engineering market and some market saturation. Further, there is heavy competition and the construction engineering market may shrink in the future. This paper analyzed various factors affecting the construction engineering market, specifically looking at construction classifications and factors related to a global market. To accomplish this, we collected to data from Engineering News Record (ENR) and recast each variable. And we used nonparametric statistics because the number of cases were small, making it difficult to assume a case's population parameter. Then we tested with the Kruskal-Wallis test and drew results. The results indicate that concentration in particular construction types and extending global regional markets will be have a positive effect on the overall global construction engineering market..
