In this paper, we provide a development and evaluation method for an archery posture analyzing system, using an inertial sensor. The system was developed using LabVIEW2014 by National Instruments and evaluated using the DTW algorithm. To convert the voltage value of the inertial sensor into a physical value, a coordinate transformation matrix bias was applied. To evaluate the similarity of movement in archery shooting, the DTW distance was calculated and similarity was confirmed based on simple mechanical movement, the same person's shooting movement, shooting movement with another person, and the noise signal. The average similarity comparison results were as follows: simple mechanical movement was 17.05%, the same person's shooting movement was 26.48%, shooting movement with another person was 62.8%, and the noise signal was 328.5%; a smaller value indicates a higher level of similarity. We confirmed the possibility of analyzing the archery posture using 3-axis acceleration of the inertial sensor. We inferred that the proposed method might be important means for assessing shooting skills, evaluation of archer's progress, and finding talented archers in advance.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effective posture for air pistol shooting. Participants were 3 male athletes of shooting with at least five years of experience and another group of 3 males athletes with less than three years of experience. For the purpose, the shooting motion was analysed using three dimensional image technology. Data from each event for the two groups, competent and less competent ones, were compared to see the differences from the kinematical point of view. Time of period in competent group was longer than less competent group during the shooting posture. Displacement of center of mass and pistol about medial/lateral and antero/posterior in competent group was little than less competent group from aim to shooting. And these result were effect to the velocity. Distance and time in competent group within coaching machine were smaller than less competent group. To the result, it was appear that precision of aim in competent group was higher than less competent group.

The Ministry of National Defense decided to build a realistic combat simulation training system based on virtual reality and augmented reality in accordance with the expansion of the scientific training system of "Defense Reform 2.0". The realistic combat simulation training system should be able to maximize the tension and training effect as in actual combat through engagement between trainers. In addition, it should be possible to increase the effectiveness of survival training at the same time as shooting training similar to actual combat through cover training. Previous studies are suitable techniques to improve the shooting precision of the trainee, but it is difficult to practice bilateral engagement like in actual combat, and it is particularly insufficient for combat shooting training using cover. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a S/W algorithm for generating a virtual avatar by recognizing the shooting posture of the opponent on the screen of the virtual shooting trainer. This S/W algorithm can recognize the trainer and the cover based on the depth information acquired through the depth sensor and estimate the trainer's posture.

This study investigates actual wearing conditions and satisfaction based on qualitative research for rifle shooting clothing. The survey was conducted in two ways: in-depth interviews of 4 rifle shooting experts and subjective questionnaires for 18 active rifle shooters. They agreed on the importance of rifle shooting wear to minimize body sway and contribute to a balanced body posture. Most rifle shooters purchase made-to-measure rifle shooting clothing at a domestic store, but the clothing often needs extra adjustments due to an uncomfortable fit. Current fabric for rifle shooting clothing consists of a cotton canvas with a polyester mix; however, rifle shooters are unsatisfied with its stiffness in hot and wet conditions. Due to the specific fabric features, rifle shooting clothing should not be washed despite year-round use that represents another point of dissatisfaction. Rifle shooters always wear specially designed underclothes to improve shooting skills and comfort sensation. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop well fitted and comfort rifle shooting clothing that could improve shooters skills based upon this study.
Objective: This study aimed to analyze how the upright body type exercise program affected body balance and record of archers. This study aimed to prove the effectiveness of upright body type exercise, on this basis, in enhancing the performance of archery players. Method: A total of 14 archers (7 men and 7 women) in B Metropolitan City who had ${\geq}4years$ of career in archery and were given explanation of its contents and purpose before giving spontaneous consent to the experiment were enrolled in the study. The upright body type exercise program was implemented thrice a week for 12 weeks, with higher exercise intensity with time. A resistive pressure sensor, Gaitview AFA-50, was used to measure the foot plantar pressure distribution and analyze quantitative information concerning variation in posture stability and weight shift in dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure in shooting and static balance of plantar pressure with the eyes open and closed and the change in archery record accompanying the change in body balance. Results: As for the differences in foot plantar pressure between before and after participation in the upright body type exercise program, there was no significant difference in static balance of foot plantar pressure with the eyes open, and there was statistically significant difference at the ${\alpha}=.05$ significance level in static balance of foot plantar pressure with the eyes closed or in dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure in shooting. There was statistically significant difference at the ${\alpha}=.05$ significance level in archery record. Conclusion: The upright body type exercise program had positive effects on static and dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure by allowing archers to experience less body sway and physical imbalance in shooting with closed eyes and positive effects on archery record. Thus, the program is expected to help archers correct their posture and perform better.
When taking X-rays, various auxiliary tools were used to fix a patient's exact shooting position and posture. In this study, we evaluated the usefulness of carbon fiber reinforced plastics(CFRP) 3K as a material of auxiliary tools by comparing poly methyl metha acrylate(PMMA), polycarbonate(PC), and CFRP 3K each of which has high radiolucency. X-ray radiolucencies were measured by stacking 1 mm panels of each material, and contrast to noise ratio(CNR) and signal to noise ratio(SNR) of images of each material were measured by comparing with None, which stands for images that are taken without any material. All three materials showed over 90% X-ray radiolucencies within 2 ㎜ thickness, and there was no significant difference. PC, PMMA and CFRP 3K had high CNR and SNR in order, and CFRP 3K showed the closest CNR and SNR to those of None. While taking X-rays, by using CFRP 3K material within 2 ㎜ thickness as a material of auxiliary tools, which are used to reduce re-shooting and X-ray exposure by fixing a patient's exact shooting position and posture and improve the quality of medical images, a high X-ray radiolucency of over 90% would be obtained, and the influence on the image could be minimized.

On the human-rifle system, the human body is affected by the firing impact. The firing impact will reduce the firing accuracy and change the initial shooting posture. Therefore the study of biomechanical characteristics using human-rifle modeling and numerical investigation is needed. The musculoskeletal model is developed by finite element method using beam and spar elements. In this study structural analysis has been performed in order to investigate the human body impact by firing of 5.56mm small caliber machine gun. The firing experiments with the standing shooting postures were performed to verify analytical results. The result if this study shows analytical displacements of the human-rifle system and experimental displacements of the real firing. As the results, the analytical displacement and stress of human body are presented.
Objective: This study collected data on muscle fatigue and ground reaction force during walking to provide a basis for development of custom-fitted outdoor walking shoes. The study analyzed an upright body exercise program using spine stabilization technique to determine the effect on foot plantar pressure in archers, demonstrate the effectiveness of upright body exercise, and develop a new, effective, and efficient training program. Method: A 12-week upright body exercise program was evaluated for the effect on plantar pressure in archers. Ten prize-winning archers (3 men, 7 women) in B metropolitan city, each with ${\geq}10years$ of experience, were given an explanation of the content and purpose of the program, and provided informed consent. Upright body exercise was performed 3 times a week for 12 weeks. A resistive pressure sensor was used to measure foot plantar pressure distribution and analyze quantitative information on variation in postural stability and weight shifting in dynamic balance during shooting, as well as plantar pressure in static balance with the eyes open and closed. Results: There were no significant differences in foot plantar pressure before and after participation in the exercise program. There was no statistically significant difference in foot plantar pressure in static balance with the eyes open or closed, or in foot plantar pressure in dynamic balance during shooting. Conclusion: An upright body exercise program had positive effects on foot plantar pressure in static and dynamic balance in archers by reducing body sway and physical imbalance during shooting and with eyes closed. This program is expected to help archers improve their posture and psychological state, and thereby improve performance.
