The Effects of the Upright Body Type Exercise Program on Body Balance and Record of Archers

  • Objective: This study aimed to analyze how the upright body type exercise program affected body balance and record of archers. This study aimed to prove the effectiveness of upright body type exercise, on this basis, in enhancing the performance of archery players. Method: A total of 14 archers (7 men and 7 women) in B Metropolitan City who had ${\geq}4years$ of career in archery and were given explanation of its contents and purpose before giving spontaneous consent to the experiment were enrolled in the study. The upright body type exercise program was implemented thrice a week for 12 weeks, with higher exercise intensity with time. A resistive pressure sensor, Gaitview AFA-50, was used to measure the foot plantar pressure distribution and analyze quantitative information concerning variation in posture stability and weight shift in dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure in shooting and static balance of plantar pressure with the eyes open and closed and the change in archery record accompanying the change in body balance. Results: As for the differences in foot plantar pressure between before and after participation in the upright body type exercise program, there was no significant difference in static balance of foot plantar pressure with the eyes open, and there was statistically significant difference at the ${\alpha}=.05$ significance level in static balance of foot plantar pressure with the eyes closed or in dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure in shooting. There was statistically significant difference at the ${\alpha}=.05$ significance level in archery record. Conclusion: The upright body type exercise program had positive effects on static and dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure by allowing archers to experience less body sway and physical imbalance in shooting with closed eyes and positive effects on archery record. Thus, the program is expected to help archers correct their posture and perform better.

옻나무 근삽시 삽상배지의 효과 (Effects of Cutting Media in Root Cuttings of Lacquer Tree (Rhus verniciflua Stokes))

  • 옻나무 근삽에 의한 묘목의 생산성을 향상시키기 위하여 7종류의 삽상배지를 공시하여 신초발생율과 묘소질을 조사하였다 삽상배지는 PV(peatmoss vermiculite = 1 : 1)와 PVS(peat moss : vermiculite : sand = 1 : 1 : 2) 처리구에서 3주 후부터 신초가 발생되었고, 삽 식 10주 후의 신초발생율은 PVSC(peatmoss : vermiculite : sand : clay loam = 1 : 1 : 2 : 2)배지에서 80%로써 가장 높았다. 삽수당 신초형성수는 PH와 PVC 삽상배지가 2.2개로써 가장 많았고 HSC 삽상배지 는 1.3∼1.5개로써 가장 적었으나 통계적인 유의차는 인정되지 않았다. Peatmoss, vermiculite, sand 및 clay loam을 각각 1:1:2:2 (v/v/v/v)로 혼합한 PVSC 삽상배지가 옻나무 근삽의 삽상배지로 이용하기에 양호하였으며, 수장, 분지수, 엽수, 경직경 및 엽면적 등의 묘소질 역시 양호하여 본포에 이식하기에 적당하였다.

눈 조직의 저온열방출방법을 통한 포도 품종의 내한성 분석 (Cold Hardiness Evaluation of Grapevine Buds by Low Temperature Exotherms among Several Grape Cultivars)

  • 최근 국내 재배가 많거나 국내 도입이 되고 있는 13개 포도 품종의 눈을 대상으로 LTE를 측정한 결과 'Shooting Star', 'Muscat Bailey A', 'IFG-6', 'Vanessa Seedless', 'Summer Crispu', 'Shine Muscat', 'Jelly Pop', 'Campbell Early', 'Ruby Seedless', 'My Heart', 'Kyoho', 'Thompson Seedless', 'Violet King' 순으로 저온에 강한 것으로 나타났다. LTE 값은 'Shooting Star'에서 -18.9℃로 가장 낮게 나타났으며, 'Violet King'에서 -12.5℃로 가장 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 국내 재배 시 기준 품종으로 제시되고 있는 'Campbell Early'와 'Kyoho'를 기준으로 데이터를 상대 비교함으로써 효율적으로 지역별 재배 가능 여부를 판단할 수 있는 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

Occupational asthma related to indoor air pollution in a worker at an indoor air gun shooting range: a case report

  • Background: Indoor air pollution can cause and exacerbate asthma. We report a previously undescribed case of occupational asthma related to indoor air pollution in a worker at an indoor air gun shooting range and highlight the potential risk of developing occupational asthma in this environment. Case presentation: A 31-year-old man presented with dyspnea, cough, and sputum and was diagnosed with asthma complicated by pneumonia. Objective evidence of asthma was obtained by performing a methacholine bronchial provocation test. It was suspected that the patient had occupational asthma, which began one month after changing jobs to work within the indoor air gun shooting range. The highest peak expiratory flow (PEF) diurnal variability on working days was 15%, but the highest variation was 24%, with 4 days out of 4 weeks having a variation of over 20% related to workplace exposure. Conversely, the diurnal variability on the rest days was 7%, and no day showed a variation exceeding 20%. The difference in the average PEF between working and rest days was 52 L/min. PEF deterioration during working days and improvement on rest days were noted. Conclusions: The results obtained from the in-depth analysis of the PEF were adequate to diagnose the patient with occupational asthma. Exposure to indoor air pollution and lead and the patient's atopy and allergic rhinitis may have contributed to the development of occupational asthma.

군 부대 개인화기 사격장 시설개선 방안 연구 (A Study on Facility Improvement in the Military Personal Firearms Shooting Range)

  • 지난해 9월 강원도 소재 모부대에서 진지공사를 마치고 부대로 복귀하던 병사가 인근 사격 훈련장에서 날아온 도비탄에 의해 사망하는 사고가 발생하여 국민을 경악하게 하였으며, 군조사결과 이 사고의 원인은 도비탄에 의한 총상 사고로 결론 지었다. 지금까지 도비탄에 의한 사고는 수차례 발생하였지만 이번 개인화기 사격장에서 도비탄에 의한 직접적인 총상사고는 매우 이례적인 사고였다. 이러한 문제점을 해소하기 위해 군 부대 개인화기 사격장을 안전적인 측면에서 분석하여 영구적이고 과학적인 미국의 사례를 적용하여 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Distribution of Heavy Metal Content in Plants and Soil from a Korean Shooting Site

  • In this research we determined the levels of heavy metals in soil and metal-accumulating plants from a D military shooting site in the Kyungkido district of Korea. The data obtained may be useful in the development of methods for the efficient phytoremediation of contaminated soil. The total Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn concentrations in the soil were found to be 1.67-5.04 mg/kg, 52.51-106.26 mg/kg, 37.24-90.32mg/kg, and 111.45-188.19mg/kg, respectively. These results show that the soil is contaminated with Cd and Cu, and this contamination is particularly severe in the case of Cd because of its high bioavailability (25-57% of the total metal in the soil is exchangeable). The high concentrations of heavy metals in the shoots of Persicaria thunbergii and Artemisia princeps var. orientalis indicate that these plants (all perennial herbs) accumulate heavy metal efficiently. Further, these plants were found to contain more Cd in its shoots (>60% of the total metal found in the plant) than any other plant; these results indicate that these native species are particularly suited to use in Cd phytoextraction.

  • The rifle impact of human body is affected by geometry of human for rifling. The interaction of human-rifle system influence a firing accuracy. In this paper, impact analysis of human model for standing postures with two B.C. carried out. ADAMS code and LifeMOD is used in impact analysis of human model and modeling of the human body, respectively. On the shooting, human model is affected by rifle impact during the 0.001 second. Also, Because Human Natural frequency is 5-200Hz, human impact is considered during 0.2-0.005 sec. Dut to the Firng test, Performed simulation time for shooting is 0.1 second. Applied constraint condition to human-rifle system is rotating and spherical condition. Also, The resulrt of changin the position of the grip is dfferent from the each other. As the results, The human model of firing was built successfully.

안드로이드 스마트폰 기반 이동형 피칭 머신의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the Pitching Machine with Mobility using the Android Smartphone)

  • Pitching machines have been around for many years for casual amusement purpose or professional athletes' training usage, and so forth. The current pitching machines are usually built on the firm ground and do not have any mobility function. In this paper, we develop a pitching machine that has both ball-shooting and mobility functions. Our developed pitching machine consists of two parts. The upper body part has a function of shooting a ball using two DC motors and the lower body part has a function of mobility like mobile robots by using two wheels governed by DC motors. All these functions are operated wirelessly by Android smartphones via bluetooth. The control of each DC motor is done by ${\epsilon}$-PID control method in which the gain tuning is simplied by using a single parameter ${\epsilon}$. Simulation and actual experiment show that our developed pitching machine has both nontrivial shooting and mobility features.

  • 어구는 어획을 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서 사용되는 도구이다. 연승어업은 모릿줄에 일정한 간격으로 아릿줄을 연결하고 아릿줄 끝에 낚시 1개씩을 매달은 어업 방법이다. 본 논문은 연승어업의 어구 투승을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 어구 유형 설정 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대해서 논한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위하여 전체적인 어구 유형 설정 시스템을 설계하고, 시스템 사용자 및 통신환경 설정, 어구 유형 설계, 어구 투승의 모형 모듈을 구현하였다. 본 논문의 타당성 검토를 위하여 어구 유형 설계 및 투승 과정을 실험하였다.
