다계층·복합구조의 국내 조선소를 대상으로 한 시스템분석기법 적용 방안 연구 (The Application of Systemic Analysis on Complex and Multi-layered Shipbuilding yard in Korea)

  • Korean industry has achieved dramatic growth in a short time through continuous technical innovations. However, safety consciousness and management have not kept pace with industry growth. The characteristics of industrial accidents in socio-technical systems have become so complicated that it has been challenging for safety professionals to implement effective preventive measures because it is difficult to determine what is happening in the complex workplace. Thus far, they have focused on technical improvements and the requirements of OSH regulations to avoid legal responsibility. Accordingly, this study has used the systemic analysis method to explain the emergence of something unexpected in complex and multi-layered business structures, which is usually related to the variabilities of humans and organizations. This study chose a shipyard where a few fatal accidents had occurred because the shipbuilding industry includes numerous variabilities, including obtaining orders, manpower supply, procurement, etc. Systemic analysis progressed using FRAM based on two accident cases related to the truss platform used in LNG vessels. The outcome shows that each function within the system has its variabilities and has become coupled or dependent on other functions, increasing the possibility of accidents. This analysis method can provide OSH professionals with practical techniques for explaining what is happening in a complex socio-technical system and how to take proper measures.

  • 조선 해양산업에서 엔지니어링 설계시스템은 사용 데이터의 대량화와 실시간성으로 인하여 이전의 2D CAD(2차원 CAD)의 한계와 문제점에서 벗어나 최근에는 3D CAD(3차원 CAD) 환경으로 발전해오고 있다. 그러나 3D CAD 환경에서는 다양한 엔지니어링 모델 정보와 그래픽 데이터가 늘어남에 따라 서버의 자원 지원에 대한 부하가 크게 발생될 뿐만 아니라, 3D CAD로 제작한 설계 모델을 자유롭게 핸들링 할 수 없는 문제점이 있다. 또한 사용자 측면에서는 서버 당 접속 세션이 늘어남에 따라 전반적인 성능저하가 초래된다. 따라서 네트워크 퍼포먼스에 대한 효율적인 협업 환경을 지원하는 엔지니어링 설계시스템의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 높은 그래픽 처리 능력과 공유 기술이 뛰어난 가상화 솔루션 시트릭스 젠앱 6.5(Citrix XenApp)와 강화된 GPU(Graphic Processing Unit) 하드웨어 가속 기술을 적용한 NVIDIA GRID(엔비디아 그리드) K2 솔루션을 적용함으로써 효율적인 엔지니어링 협업 설계시스템을 위한 프레임워크를 설계하고 구현하였다.

기획특집 - 거가대교 침매터널의 시공 (Construction of the Busan-Geoje Fixed Links Immersed tunnel)

  • The Busan-Geoje Fixed Link is an 8.2 km long motorway connecting Busan to the island of Geoje where the Korean big two shipbuilding yard locate on. This motorway includes a 3,300m immersed tunnel which is one of the longest immersed tunnel in the world and two cablestayed bridges each of 2km in length. The site locates in a exposed offshore, which is subjected to strong winds, large swell waves and strong tidal currents. These conditions together with the tunnel being at a deepest immersed tunnel ever built and the foundation condition is consisting of a very soft, normally to slightly over consolidated marine clay, makes the project unique and one of the most challenging immersed tunnels ever built.

유전 알고리즘을 기반으로 한 조선소 블록 적치장의 재배치 최소화 (Minimization of the Rearrangement of a Block Stockyard Based on the Genetic Algorithm)

  • Due to its large size, a ship is first divided into scores of blocks and then each block is constructed through various shops, such as the assembly shop, the painting shop, and the outfitting shop. However, each block may not be directly moved to the next shop and may be temporarily laid on a block stockyard because the working time in each shop is different. If blocks are laid on the block stockyard without any planning, the rearrangement of the blocks by a transporter are required because the blocks have the different in and out time. In this study, an optimal layout method based on the genetic algorithm was proposed in order to minimize the rearrangement of the blocks in the block stockyard. To evaluate the applicability of the proposed method, it was applied to a simple layout problem of the block stockyard.

조선업 산업재해예방을 위한 안전의식 실태조사 (A Study on Safety Consciousness for Preventing Accident of The Shipbuilding Industry)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety consciousness of the lobours working at the ship building or repairing yard at which the industrial accidents frequently happen, and to provide the basic data required for the prevention of those accidents. This study is made by analyzing the questionnaires of 208 labours working at various ship building or repairing industries at random. This questionnaire is focused on finding the basic data for prevention of industrial accidents and getting the public opinions and proposals of labours. The results obtained by this study are as follows ; The negative estimations of the labours to the safety are cultivation of safety consciousness, the safety behavior in company, the molters of arrangement and the estimation of industrial or post arrangement. The positive ones are the arrangements of the protective tools and equipments for safety, the rule of safety regulation and the order of works, and the status of health education within company.

Block layout method in the block stockyard based on the genetic algorithm

논-스캘럽 블록 조인트 용접법 개발 (Development of Non-Scallop Block Joint Welding Method)

  • 용접 스캘럽은 작은 사분원 또는 반원 형상의 구멍으로서 용접의 작업성 향상을 위한 목적으로 용접선이 교차하는 위치에 시공된다. 선체 블록의 탑재 단계에서는 수많은 T-bar 조인트 용접이 수행되어야하며, 플랜지-웨브의 교차용접이 완료된 후에 육성용접을 통해 모든 스캘럽을 메공하는데 많은 생산시수가 소요된다. 본 연구에서는 특별한 타입의 CBM(ceramic backing material)을 고안하여 T-bar 조인트 용접 시 플랜지-웨브의 교차용접 지점에 시공되던 스캘럽을 삭제함으로써 논-스캘럽 블록 조인트 용접 공법을 개발하였다. 플랜지간 용접 시 플랜지 이면에 접촉한 웨브의 V 용접개선에 삽입이 용이하도록 CBM을 웨지 형상으로 제작하였고 웨브간 용접 개선의 루트갭에 맞추어 불필요한 부분의 절단이 용이하도록 예비 절단면들을 톱니 형상으로 배치하였다. 조선소의 실제 용접조건에 기초한 일련의 실험을 통하여 개발된 논-스캘럽 용접 공법의 유용성을 확인하였다.

  • In any large heavy industry like that of ship building, there exist a lot of complications for the arrangement of building blocks optimally for the minimal space consumption. The major problem arises at yard because of laxity in space for arranging the building blocks of ship under construction. A standardized erection sequence diagram is generally available to provide the prioritised erection sequence. This erection sequence diagram serves as the frame work. In order to make a timely erection of the blocks a post plan has to be developed so that the blocks lie in the nearest possible vicinity of the material handling devices while keeping the priority of erection. Therefore, the blocks are arranged in the pre-erection area. This kind of readiness of blocks leads to a very complex problem of space. This arises due to the least available space leading to an urgent need of an availability of intelligent spatial schedule without compromising the rate of production. There exists two critical problems ahead namely, the spatial occupation layout of pre-erection area and the emptying pattern in the spatial vicinity. The block shape is assumed be rectangular. The related input data's are the dates of erection (earliest as well as the latest), geometrical parameters of block available on pre-erection area, slack time and the like.

용접 불티 차단막의 방염 및 난연성능 평가 (An Evaluation of Flame and Fire Retardant Performance for Welding Blanket)

  • 본 연구에서는 조선 및 화학공장 등 산업현장에서 용접·용단작업 공정에서 비산 되는 불티에 의한 화재 예방을 위하여 불티 차단막에 관한 방염 및 난연 성능 평가를 실시하였다. 방염성능 실험결과 기존제품의 용접불티 차단막 6종 모두 충분한 방염성능을 갖고 있었다. 그러나, 용접·용단 불꽃에 의한 난연성 실험 결과 섬유유리에 수지코팅한 제품 2종은 용접·용단 불티에 대한 화재예방성능이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 용접 불티 차단막의 최소산소지수의 국내기준은 30이상으로 고려하는 것이 좋을 것으로 사료된다. 용접 불티 차단막의 성능향상을 위한 제속적인 연구가 필요하며, 방염 및 난연성능 기술지침 개발의 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

선체 블록 물류관리를 위한 위치추적 시스템 연구 (Study on the Positioning System for Logistics of Ship-block)

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a low cost inertial navigation system(INS) using an inertial measurement unit(IMU), a digital compass, GPS, and an embedded system. The system has been developed for a transporter that load and unload ship blocks in a shipbuilding yard. When the transporter would move from place to place, they would periodically pass under obstructions that would obscure the GPS signal. This increases the error when estimating the position. Thus the INS has been used to improve position accuracy. INS is also capable of providing continuous estimates of the transporter's position and orientation. Even though IMU is typically very expensive, this INS is made of "low cost" components and the indirect Kalman filtering algorithm.
