In this study, we formulated rational criteria to efficiently provide traffic information services via a crafted approach. By utilizing this, we presented a detailed traffic information service providing method that can overcome the limitations of existing link unit information provision system. Three methodologies such as user survey, data mining, and KHCM (Korea Highway Capacity Manual) utilization method were applied to formulate a rational expression standard for traffic information service. Each method was designed to establish a quantitative criterion for various traffic conditions and to enable user-oriented traffic information service in consideration of the traffic principal/compatibility. Considering the results of each methodological analysis in a comprehensive manner, the basic expression standards for traffic information service was formulated. Then we presented improvements such as traffic condition step by road, speed range of traffic condition, expression term of traffic condition and so on. In order to complement the problems of the information provision system of the existing link unit based on the derived improvement criterion, we presented the detailed traffic information service provision method by using the traffic speed data of the second order. And we applied this to the two links of Daegu city. The method presented in this research can improve the quality of traffic information service. Not only it can be used for various fields such as optimal route search, traffic safety service and so on.

Network infrastructure has spread to an unprecedented extent and is used in various computing devices, such as smart appliances, smart phones, and embedded devices with sensors, which have all been appearing in the computing environment. To accommodate this trend, for a more intelligent service environment, the service platform needs to have abilities that facilitate the operation between services, dynamically share distributed computing resources, and manage appropriate contextual information. We have simulated a service platform to provide intelligent services using contextual information after having implemented the context management service. The context management service gathers raw contextual information from sensors and stores these in the context database. For a consistent basis of contextual information, time and location are used as the key values of the contextual information. The context management service also performs normalization to provide computable contextual information to context-aware applications. In this paper, a service platform based on Jini technology is proposed for constructing an interoperable, dynamic, and . intelligent service environment using contextual information.

EDS is a typical convergence service performing convergence between functions owned by multiple SPs. EDS provides users with the relevant information and the communication by the various personal conditional environment. An alternative terminology for events for net- work related applications is 'triggers'-these are assumed to be included in the present description. Events could be defined as any activities which occur within a service avail ability, signals. Events can be managed, for example, as part of a context-aware application. EDS carry out a procedure for processing user's requested information about mobil network-based entities, such as the combination with various applications, such as a LBS (Location Based Service) and area information. In AS (Application Service) network environments, the user has his customized EDS in the network, the EDS automatically connects the appropriate Terminals consistent with a user profile. EDS can also send the collected information to other requesting users by way of event information and using the procedures of combination with other services. The user can record/retrieve the user-related information to from the information base through EDS.

This study takes an effort to suggest solutions for medical service consumers' sovereignty. Specifically, consumer evaluation, information seeking level, and affecting factors on information seeking level were explored in terms of medical service. In present study, medical information included medical institution and doctors, prescription, diseases, medical treatment and medical expense. Medical service consumers' information seeking is identified as consumers' own efforts to acquire medical information through various sources. The analysis results suggested that consumers' information seeking level is even lower, while their evaluation level is somewhat low. Moreover, the result for information seeking level by consumer characteristics implied that people who have high education, high economic status, medical knowledge, and high attitudes for consumer right are active information seekers. Finally, consumer attitudes for right appeared most influential factor on information seeking level, implying direction for medical service consumer education.

Owing to the change of economic trends, the importance of the tourism industry is growing more and more. In particular, the number of foreign tourists continues to increase and the type of tourists is being changed into FIT (Foreign Independent Traveler). Therefore it is an important issue to provide the effective information to foreign tourists. To solve these problems, a variety of IT technology is being used in the tourism information systems. Especially the location based tour information service is being emerged. This kinds of tourism information service is a type of LBS (Location Based Services). But if the security of the location based tourism information service is not guaranteed, it can lead to many dangers. In this paper, the trends of location based tourism information service are surveyed. Also the security threats and countermeasures for the location based tourism information service are analyzed. This paper suggests secret considerations for the location based tourism information service.

In the knowledge society the main resource is knowledge, and the role of library to manage knowledge and information is very important. Therefore it is necessary to knowledge and information management that provides on demand service to user. The purpose of this research is to design model for web-based help-desk knowledge management system. This study used Qualitative methods as interviews and surveys through BBS and e-mail on information service in the university libraries. Here the investigated component factors are followings Q/A service user's education service to use the library, user's online reference service, e-mail service, FAQ service electronic service(BBS), lecture and research service for faculty, my library, SDI service, and open data service. In this paper, we draw a security assessment by analyzing possible vulnerabilities of the designated PC service which is supposed for strengthening security of current online identification methods that provide various areas such as the online banking and a game and so on. There is a difference between the designated PC service and online identification methods. Online identification methods authenticate an user by the user's private information or the user's knowledge-based information, though the designated PC service authenticates a hardware-based unique information of the user's PC. For this reason, high task significance services employ with online identification methods and the designated PC service for improving security multiply. Nevertheless, the security assessment of the designated PC service has been absent and possible vulnerabilities of the designated PC service are counterfeiter and falsification when the hardware-based unique-information is extracted on the user's PC and sent an authentication server. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze possible vulnerabilities of the designated PC service and draw the security assessment.

The primary purpose of this study is to examine consumers'probing actions to see what information sources consumers search for medical information when there are diverse medical service information channels, and classify consumers by information source. Its secondary purpose is to understand trust of information and attitude toward information by consumer type, value of medical service, satisfaction with medical service, and word-of-mouth intention. This study will concretely identify information utilization patterns of medical consumers, and explain the unique characteristics and behavior of segmented types of medical consumers. The significance of this study lies in the search for ways to establish information channels trusted by consumers for building an efficient medical service market in the future. The results of this study show that consumers were classified by the latent class analysis(LCA) into 5 types: low-level information seekers, word-of-mouth information seekers, mass media information seekers, digital information seekers and diverse information seekers. The reliability of information sources by type of medical consumer was statistically significant, and in the analysis of differences in consumer attitude, there was a statistically significant difference in cognitive responses. The value of medical service was statistically significant in health recovery and medical service word-of-mouth intention.

The intelligent railway operation information architecture is to provide the railway passengers with the intermodal transportation information service. The purpose of the information architecture is to suggest the information service architecture of the intermodal transportation structurally. First, the architect procedure is to analysis the user requirements and according to these requirements, is to make the description of service requirements. Then secondly, it decides the service items and based of these items, it is to construction of service architecture. This paper is addressed to Internet telephony based service implementation. It describes an implementation method which uses ARS as a gateway which combines Internet and traditional public switched telephone network for Internet information service using telephony and fax, is different to traditional Internet telephony which provide enhanced speech quality and low cost functionality. This method allows telephony and/or fax user to get Internet information without additional Internet bill, Internet infrastructure and low connection quality from low signal bandwidth connected him. Implemented system is useful to a special kind information service such as climate information of Korea etc and simpler than WAP based service as for wireless mobile telephony user. We implement job opportunity information and advertisement service supported by Home page of Choong Book Small & Medium Business Administration and e-mail service supported by Korean Society for Rehabilitation of persons with Disabilities to demonstrate the system ability. As a result of test implementation, this service system works good fur blind persons and graduated persons without job, is expected to apply for special Internet information provider via Voice and Fax.
