  • GeoSensor network means sensor network infra and related software of specific form monitoring a variety of circumstances over geospatial. And these GeoSensor network is implemented by mixing data stream with spatial attribute, spatial relation. But, until a recent date sensor network system has been concentrated on a store and search method of sensor data stream except for a spatial information. In this paper, we propose a definition of spatial data stream and its join strategy model at GeoSensor network, which combine data stream with spatial data. Spatial data stream s defining in this paper are dynamic spatial data stream of a moving object type and static spatial data stream of a fixed type. Dynamic spatial data stream is data stream transmitted by moving sensor as GPS, while static spatial data stream is generated by joining a data stream of general sensor and a relation with location values of these sensors. This paper propose joins of dynamic spatial data stream and static spatial data stream, and cost models estimating join cost. Finally, we show verification of proposed cost models and performance by join strategy.

  • Recently, with the advances in sensor techniques and net work computing, Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) has been received a lot of attentions from various communities. The sensor nodes distributed in the sensor network tend to continuously generate a large amount of data, which is called stream data. Sensor stream data arrives in an online manner so that it is characterized as high-speed, real-time and unbounded and it requires fast data processing to get the up-to-date results. The data stream has many application domains such as traffic analysis, physical distribution, U-healthcare and so on. Therefore, there is an overwhelming need of a USN middleware for processing such online stream data to provide corresponding services to diverse applications. In this paper, we propose a novel USN middleware which can provide users both context-aware service and meaningful sequential patterns. Our proposed USN middleware is mainly focused on location based applications which use stream location data. We also show the implementation of our proposed USN middleware. By using the proposed USN middleware, we can save the developing cost of providing context aware services and stream sequential patterns mainly in location based applications.

  • Recently, many researchers have developed various service robots, in which the position estimation and path following of mobile objects have been raised an important problem. We should know where a mobile robot so that there are many introduced localization and path following schemes. In this paper, we propose an efficient localization algorithm for the precise localization of a mobile robot with the glaser stream sensor. We use the glaser stream sensor for following a given path in indoor environments. Since the glaser stream sensor utilizes precise optical motion estimation technology, we can achieve high speed motion detection and high resolution. The experimental results show that the glaser stream sensor may be a good sensor for many indoor service robots.

  • Sensors used in many USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) domain applications generate a large amount of sensor stream data. The volume of sensor stream data is too huge to store the whole data and data speed is too fast to control each of them. In order to provide rapid and reliable context analysis service over sensor stream data, we propose a WHEN-DO context analysis model that supports the functionality of sliding window. This model is designed to be used as follows: If the sensor stream data satisfies condition in 'WHEN' clause, then it will execute actions in 'DO' clause in WHEN-DO context analysis model. The proposed WHEN-DO context analysis model can be applied to many other USN environment applications such as monitoring the status of a building and then taking actions in corresponding context condition.

  • In order to combat the security threats that sensor networks are exposed to, a cryptography protocol is implemented at sensor nodes for point-to-point encryption between nodes. Given that nodes have limited resources, symmetric cryptography that is proven to be efficient for low power devices is implemented. Data protection is integrated into a sensor's packet by the means of symmetric encryption with the Dragon stream cipher and incorporating the newly designed Dragon-MAC Message Authentication Code. The proposed algorithm was designed to employ some of the data already computed by the underlying Dragon stream cipher for the purpose of minimizing the computational cost of the operations required by the MAC algorithm. In view that Dragon is a word based stream cipher with a fast key stream generation, it is very suitable for a constrained environment. Our protocol regarded the entity authentication and message authentication through the implementation of authenticated encryption scheme in wireless sensor nodes.

  • In ubiquitous spatial computing environments, GeoSensor generates sensor data streams including spatial information as well as various conventional sensor data from RFID, WSN, Web CAM, Digital Camera, CCTV, and Telematics units. This GeoSensor enables the revitalization of various ubiquitous USN technologies and services on geographic information. In order to service the u-GIS applications based on GeoSensors, it is indispensable to efficiently process sensor data streams from GeoSensors of a wide area. In this paper, we propose a GeoSensor data stream processing system for u-GIS computing over real-time stream data from GeoSensors with geographic information. The proposed system provides efficient gathering, storing, and continuous query processing of GeoSensor data stream, and also makes it possible to develop diverse u-GIS applications meet each user requirements effectively.

  • In WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) environment, a large amount of sensors, which are small and heterogeneous, generates data stream successively in physical space. These sensors are composed of measured data and metadata. Metadata includes various features such as location, sampling time, measurement unit, and their types. Until now, wireless sensors have been managed with individual specification, not the explicit standardization of metadata, so it is difficult to collect and communicate between heterogeneous sensors. To solve this problem, OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) has proposed a SensorML(Sensor Model Language) which can manage metadata of heterogeneous sensors with unique format. In this paper, we introduce a metadata model using SensorML specification to manage various sensors, which are distributed in a wide scope. In addition, we implement the metadata management module applied to the sensor data stream management system. We provide many functions, namely generating metadata file, registering and storing them according to definition of SensorML.

  • As application-specific requirements for wireless sensor networks emerge, both real-time and reliable communications become major research challenges in wireless sensor networks due to the many constraints on nodes and wireless links. To support these services, several protocols have been proposed. However, since most of them were designed as well as developed for general purpose applications, it is not recommended that they be directly adapted to applications with special requirements. In this paper, we propose a way to extend the current reliable transport protocol to cover a special real-time service, the (m,k)-firm deadline stream, in wireless sensor networks. While the proposed scheme is basically built on the PSFQ protocol for reliability, some features have been newly developed to support the (m,k)-firm stream efficiently. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme in high traffic and with failed links.

  • Wireless sensor network is a technology that collects the information about object in real-time. Sensor data has a characteristic that is generated an unprecedented volume data in short time. Analysis is essential to define the relationship between the data, including more of the data from a large volume data stream which is acquired from the sensor. In order to effectively handle the sensor data stream, in this paper, using ECA rules to organize data in a meaningful and more practical real-time monitoring systems is proposed.

  • As a mass flow controller is widely used in many manufacturing processes for controlling a mass flow rate of gas with accuracy of 1%, several investigators have tried to describe the heat transfer phenomena in a sensor tube of an MFC. They suggested a few analytic solutions and numerical models based on simple assumptions, which are physically unrealistic. In the present work, the heat transfer phenomena in the sensor tube of the MFC are studied by using both experimental and numerical methods. The numerical model is introduced to estimate the temperature profile in the sensor tube as well as in the gas stream. In the numerical model, the conjugate heat transfer problem comprising the tube wall and the gas stream is analyzed to fully understand the heat transfer interaction between the sensor tube and the fluid stream using a single domain approach. This numerical model is further verified by experimental investigation. In order to describe the transport of heat energy in both the flow region and the sensor tube, the Nusselt number at the interface between the tube wall and the gas stream as well as heatlines is presented from the numerical solution.
