  • There are many papers on linear operators that preserve commuting pairs of matrices over fields or semirings. From these research works, we have a motivation to the research on the linear operators that preserve commuting pairs of matrices over nonnegative integers. We characterize the surjective linear operators that preserve commuting pairs of matrices over nonnegative integers.

  • We prove the following results: (1) Let R be a strongly euclidean semiring. Then an ideal A of $R_{n{\times}n}$ is a partitioning ideal if and only if it is a subtractive ideal. (2) A monic ideal M of R[$x$], where R is a strongly euclidean semiring, is a partitioning ideal if and only if it is a subtractive ideal.

  • In this paper, we consider derivation of an ordered ${\Gamma}$-semiring and introduce the notion of reverse derivation on ordered ${\Gamma}$-semiring. Also, we obtain some interesting related properties. Let I be a nonzero ideal of prime ordered ${\Gamma}$-semiring M and let d be a nonzero derivation of M. If ${\Gamma}$-semiring M is negatively ordered, then d is nonzero on I.

  • An element r of a commutative semiring R with identity is said to be identity-summand if there exists $1{\neq}a{\in}R$ such that r+a = 1. In this paper, we introduce and investigate the identity-summand graph of R, denoted by ${\Gamma}(R)$. It is the (undirected) graph whose vertices are the non-identity identity-summands of R with two distinct vertices joint by an edge when the sum of the vertices is 1. The basic properties and possible structures of the graph ${\Gamma}(R)$ are studied.

  • We consider linear operators on square matrices over antinegative semirings. Let ${\varepsilon}_k$ denote the set of all primitive matrices of exponent k. We characterize those linear operators which preserve the set ${\varepsilon}_1$ and the set ${\varepsilon}_2$, and those that preserve the set ${\varepsilon}_{n^2-2n+2}$ and the set ${\varepsilon}_{n^2-2n+1}$. We also characterize those linear operators that strongly preserve ${\varepsilon}_2$, ${\varepsilon}_{n^2-2n+2}$ or ${\varepsilon}_{n^2-2n+1}$.

  • In this paper, we introduce a partitioning subsemimodule of a semimodule over a semiring which is useful to develop the quotient structure of semimodule. Indeed we prove : 1) The quotient semimodule M=N(Q) is essentially independent of choice of Q. 2) If f : M ${\rightarrow}$ M' is a maximal R-semimodule homomorphism, then $M/kerf_{(Q)}\;\cong\;M'$. 3) Every partitioning subsemimodule is subtractive. 4) Let N be a Q-subsemimodule of an R-semimodule M. Then A is a subtractive subsemimodule of M with $N{\subseteq}A$ if and only if $A/N_{(Q{\cap}A)}\;=\;\{q+N:q{\in}Q{\cap}A\}$ is a subtractive subsemimodule of $M/N_{(Q)}$.

  • Let $R$ be a commutative semiring. We define a proper ideal $I$ of $R$ to be 2-absorbing (resp., weakly 2-absorbing) if $abc{\in}I$ (resp., $0{\neq}abc{\in}I$) implies $ab{\in}I$ or $ac{\in}I$ or $bc{\in}I$. We show that a weakly 2-absorbing ideal $I$ with $I^3{\neq}0$ is 2-absorbing. We give a number of results concerning 2-absorbing and weakly 2-absorbing ideals and examples of weakly 2-absorbing ideals. Finally we de ne the concept of 0 - (1-, 2-, 3-)2-absorbing ideals of $R$ and study the relationship among these classes of ideals of $R$.

  • In this paper, we introduce a partitioning ideal of a ternary semiring which is useful to develop the quotient structure of ternary semiring. Indeed we prove : 1) The quotient ternary semiring S/$I_{(Q)}$ is essentially independent of choice of Q. 2) If f : S ${\rightarrow}$ S' is a maximal ternary semiring homomorphism, then S/ker $f_{(Q)}$ ${\cong}$ S'. 3) Every partitioning ideal is subtractive. 4) Let I be a Q-ideal of a ternary semiring S. Then A is a subtractive ideal of S with I ${\subseteq}$ A if and only if A/$I_{(Q{\cap}A)}$ = {q + I : q ${\in}$ Q ${\cap}$ A} is a subtractive idea of S/$I_{(Q)}$.

  • Let R be a commutative semiring with identity and M be a unitary R-semimodule. Let 𝜙 : 𝒮(M) → 𝒮(M) ∪ {∅} be a function, where 𝒮(M) is the set of all subsemimodules of M. A proper subsemimodule N of M is called 𝜙-prime subsemimodule, if r ∈ R and x ∈ M with rx ∈ N \𝜙(N) implies that r ∈ (N :R M) or x ∈ N. So if we take 𝜙(N) = ∅ (resp., 𝜙(N) = {0}), a 𝜙-prime subsemimodule is prime (resp., weakly prime). In this article we study the properties of several generalizations of prime subsemimodules.
