잡음에 강한 특징 벡터 및 스펙트럼 차감법을 이용한 음성 인식 (Speech Recognition Using Noise Robust Features and Spectral Subtraction)

  • 본 논문에서는 잡음 및 주변 환경에 강인한 것으로 알려져 있는 특징 벡터들을 이용한 인식 성능을 비교하였다. 아울러 스펙트럼 차감법을 적용하여 높은 인식 성능을 얻도록 하였다. 본 논문에서는 환경 변화에 강인한 인식 성능을 얻기 위하여 SMC(Short time Modified Coherence) 분석, 루트(root) 켑스트럼 분석, LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis), PLP(Perceptual Linear Prediction), RASTA(RelAtive SpecTrAl) 처리 등을 이용하여 인식 실험을 수행하였다. 실험을 위하여 반연속 HMM을 이용한 단독음 인식 시스템을 구현하였고 전시장 및 컴퓨터실의 잡음을 첨가하여 0, 10 및 20dB의 SNR에 대한 인식 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, LPCC(Linear Prediction Cepstral Coefficient)를 이용한 경우에 비하여 SMC나 루트처리를 이용한 멜 켑스트럼(루트_멜 켑스트럼)을 이용한 경우 10dB의 SNR에서 각각 9.86%, 12.68% 향상된 가장 좋은 인식률을 얻었다. 또한 멜 켑스트럼과 루트_멜 켑스트럼을 스펙트럼 차감법과 결합하여 잡음을 제거한 경우 10dB에서 각각 16.7%, 8.4% 향상된 94.91%, 94.28%의 인식률을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 일반적으로 비선형 시스템은 1차와 2차 시스템의 곱의 형태로 선형화되며, 시스템의 근은 1차 시스템의 근과 2차 시스템의 중근, 서로 다른 두 실근, 복소근으로 구성된다. 그리고 LQ(Linear Quadratic) 제어는 성능지수함수를 최소화하는 제어법칙을 설계하는 방법으로 시스템의 안정성을 보장하는 장점과 가중행렬 조정으로 시스템의 근의 위치를 조정하는 극배치 기능이 있다. 가중행렬에 의해 LQ 제어는 시스템의 근의 위치를 임의로 이동시킬 수 있지만 시행착오 방법으로 가중행렬을 설정하는 어려움이 있다. 이것은 해밀토니안(Hamiltonian) 시스템의 특성방정식을 이용하여 해결 할 수 있다. 또한 제어가중행렬이 상수의 대칭행렬이면 제어법칙을 반복적으로 적용하여 시스템의 여러 근을 원하는 폐루프 근으로 이동시킬 수 있다. 이 논문은 해밀토니안 시스템의 특성방정식을 이용하여 조단 블록을 갖는 시스템의 중근을 두 실근으로 이동시키는 상태가중행렬과 제어법칙을 계산하는 방법을 제시한다. 삼각함수로 표현된 상태가중행렬로 해밀토니안 시스템의 특성방정식을 구한다. 그리고 이동된 두 실근이 특성방정식의 근이라는 조건에서 중근과 상태가중행렬의 관계식(${\rho},\;{\theta}$)을 유도한다. 상태가중행렬이 양의 반한정행렬이 될 조건에서 중근의 이동범위를 구한다. 그리하여 이동범위에서 선택한 두 실근을 관계식에 대입하여 상태가중행렬과 제어법칙을 계산한다. 제안한 방법을 간단한 3차 시스템의 예제에 적용해본다.

유류 오염물질에 대한 불포화대 자연 저감능 등급화 기법 개발 (A New Evaluation Model for Natural Attenuation Capacity of a Vadose Zone Against Petroleum Contaminants)

  • Although various methods have been proposed to assess groundwater vulnerability, most of the models merely consider the mobility of contaminants (i.e., intrinsic vulnerability), and the attenuation capacity of vadose zone is often neglected. This study proposed an evaluation model for the attenuation capacity of vadose zone to supplement the limitations of the existing index method models for assessing groundwater vulnerability. The evaluation equation for quantifying the attenuation capacity was developed from the combined linear regression and weighted scaling methods based on the lab-scale experiments using various vadose zone soils having different physical and biogeochemical properties. The proposed semi-quantifying model is expected to effectively assess the attenuation capacity of vadose zone by identifying the main influencing factors as input parameters together with proper weights derived from the coefficients of the regression results. The subsequent scoring and grading system has great versatility while securing the objectivity by effectively incorporating the experimental results.

Machine Learning Based Automatic Categorization Model for Text Lines in Invoice Documents

  • Automatic understanding of contents in document image is a very hard problem due to involvement with mathematically challenging problems originated mainly from the over-determined system induced by document segmentation process. In both academic and industrial areas, there have been incessant and various efforts to improve core parts of content retrieval technologies by the means of separating out segmentation related issues using semi-structured document, e.g., invoice,. In this paper we proposed classification models for text lines on invoice document in which text lines were clustered into the five categories in accordance with their contents: purchase order header, invoice header, summary header, surcharge header, purchase items. Our investigation was concentrated on the performance of machine learning based models in aspect of linear-discriminant-analysis (LDA) and non-LDA (logic based). In the group of LDA, na$\"{\i}$ve baysian, k-nearest neighbor, and SVM were used, in the group of non LDA, decision tree, random forest, and boost were used. We described the details of feature vector construction and the selection processes of the model and the parameter including training and validation. We also presented the experimental results of comparison on training/classification error levels for the models employed.

받음각을 갖는 평판의 유체 충격 시뮬레이션 (Numerical Simulation for Fluid Impact Loads by Flat Plate with Incident Angles)

  • The free-surface motions interacting with structures are investigated numerically using the Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method proposed by Koshizuka et al. (1996) for solving incompressible flow. In the method, Lagrangian moving particles are used instead of Eulerian approach using grid system. Therefore the terms of time derivatives in Navier-Stokes equation can be directly calculated without any numerical diffusion or instabilities due to the fully Lagrangian treatment of fluid particles and topological failure never occur. The MPS method is applied to the numerical study on the fluid impact loads for wet-drop tests in a LNG tank, and the results are compared with experimental ones.

SMT 마운터 장비의 진동 분석 및 저감 (Vibration Analysis and Reduction of a SMT Mounter Equipment)

  • A SMT mounter is a kind of equipment that mounts SMD parts quickly on the printed circuit board. By using linear motors, it is controlled with high speed and precision, which is similar to semi-conductor and display process equipment. It is necessarily used in an assembly process of an electronic device. Mobile devices such as a mobile phone and PDA are required to reduce mount areas due to the demands for high performance and small size. Hence, super small sized and complex mobile devices have been developed. To improve the productivity of the corresponding equipment, designs with large sized, high speed, and multidisciplinary functions have been consistently performed. Meanwhile, a design trend of large size and light-weight on SMT mounter causes a low natural frequency of systems and vibration problems at the high speed operation. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of the SMD mounter system were investigated through a modal test and transmissibility test, and verified by finite element method. Also, various design improvement was performed to avoid the resonance phenomena.

감쇠계 고유치문제의 설계민감도해석을 위한 보조변수법 (An Adjoint Variable Method for Eigenproblem Design Sensitivity Analysis of Damped Systems)

  • Three methods for design sensitivity analysis such as finite difference method(FDM), direct differentiation method(DDM) and adjoint variable method(AVM) are well known. FDM and DDM for design sensitivity analysis cost too much when the number of design variables is too large. An AVM is required to compute adjoint variables from the simultaneous linear system equation, the so-called adjoint equation. Because the adjoint equation is independent of the number of design variables, an AVM is efficient for when number of design variables is too large. In this study, AVM has been extended to the eigenproblem of damped systems whose eigenvlaues and eigenvectors are complex numbers. Moreover, this method is implemented into a commercial finite element analysis program by means of the semi-analytical method to show applicability of the developed method into practical structural problems. The proposed_method is compared with FDM and verified its accuracy for analytical and practical cases.

광대역 통신용 반원형 안테나의 경사각에 의한 성능분석 (Analysis of a Semicircle Antenna by Tilt Angles for Wideband Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 통신 시스템을 위한 반원형 (semi-circle) 안테나에 대하여 소개 하였다. 제안된 안테나는 1.5GHz 부터 5GHz (> ${\sim}$110%) 이상의 광대역 주파수 대역에서 전방향성 의 선형 편파를 방사 한다. 반원 안테나의 중심 급전 점으로 부터의 경사각 (tilt angle) 변화에 의하여 발생하는 안테나상의 전류 경로 변화와 이에 따른 동작 주파수 대역 변화에 대하여 조사하였으며, 측정된 안테나의 최대 이득은 동작 주파수 대역에서 2 ${\sim}$3 dBi 이다.

Effect of bolt preloading on rotational stiffness of stainless steel end-plate connections

  • This study investigates the effect of bolt preloading on the rotational stiffness of stainless steel end-plate connections. An experimental programme incorporating 11 full-scale joint specimens are carried out comparing the behaviours of fully pre-tensioned (PT) and snug-tightened (ST) flush/extended end-plate connections, made of austenitic or lean duplex stainless steels. It is observed from the tests that the presence of bolt preloading leads to a significant increase in the rotational stiffness. A parallel finite element analysis (FEA) validated against the test results demonstrates that the geometric imperfection of end-plate has a strong influence on the moment-rotation response of preloaded end-plate connections, which is crucial to explain the observed "two-stage" behaviour of these connections. Based on the data obtained from the tests and FE parametric study, the performance of the Eurocode 3 predictive model is evaluated, which exhibits a significant deviation in predicting the rotational stiffness of stainless steel end-plate connections. A modified bi-linear model, which incorporates three key properties, is therefore proposed to enable a better prediction. Finally, the effect of bolt preloading is demonstrated at the system (structure) level considering the serviceability of semi-continuous stainless steel beams with end-plate connections.

네 대의 주 추진기를 이용한 무인잠수정의 속도, 심도 및 방위각 제어 - 시뮬레이션 및 실험 (Speed, Depth and Steering Control of Underwater Vehicles with Four Stem Thrusters - Simulation and Experimental Results)

  • This paper describes depth, heading and speed control of an underwater vehicle that has four stern thrusters of which forces are coupled in the diving and, steering motion, as well as the speed of the vehicle. The optimal linear quadratic controller is designed based on a linearized- state space model, developed by combining the dynamic equations of speed, steering and diving motion. The designed controller gives provides an optimal thrust distribution, minimizing the given performance index to control speed, depth and heading simultaneously. To validate the performance of the controller, a simulation and tank-test are carried out with DUSAUV (Dual Use Semi-Autonomous Underwater Vehicle), developed by KORDI as a test-bed for testing new underwater technologies. Optimal gains of the controller are tuned, using a computer simulation environment with a nonlinear 6-DOF numerical DUSAUV model, developed by PMM (Planner Motion Mechanism) test. To verify the performance of the presented controller in experiment, a tank-test with DUSAUV is carried out in the ocean engineering basin in KORDI. The experimental results are also compared with the simulation results to investigate the accordance of the numerical and the real mode.
