  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-regulated learning ability on English learning achievement. A survey was conducted to the students majoring different fields of study in order to measure their self-regulated learning ability from March 10, 2010 to June 10, 2010. The result indicates a strong correlation between students' English achievement and self-regulated learning factors such as cognitive, affective, and behavior regulation. The results revealed that instructional, and training interventions should be needed to have significant goal-orientation, to maintain motivation, and to have self confidence from On-line and Off-line blended teaching for the successful English learning.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop Parent Education Program for Learning Coaching which enhances parent's learning-support behaviors, as well as, children's self-Efficacy and self-regulated learning capability, and to implement and evaluate the program for the families with school aged children. The results of this study were as follows. First, the contents of the experimental model of 'Parent Education Program for Learning Coaching' were specified as five factors namely; offering options, offering democratic rules, pursuing appropriate results, offering school-related information, offering self-regulated learning skills for children. Second, significant differences in the experiment group were found in pre- and post-test scores of parent's learning-support behaviors and children's self-efficacy and self-regulated learning capability, but not for the control group. Thus, based on these findings, a modified model of 'Parent Education Program for Learning Coaching' was presented as a conclusion.

  • This study was designed to construct and test a structural equation model for related factors that affect to self-regulated learning in nursing students. The nursing students was asked to complete a questionnaire, and 273 data units were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. The hypothetical model fit indices for the model revealed a fit at a recommended level, and 5 of the 6 paths were statistically significant explaining 68% of the variance. Therefore, education that improves self-determination, interpersonal competence and achievement goal orientation will promote self-regulated learning of nursing students. Competence programs to build the self-autonomy and relationships should be developed.

  • This study is a descriptive investigation study attempted to identify the factors influencing the self-regulated learning ability of the 4th grade students of the Department of Nursing who are preparing for the national nurse exam. Data were collected for two weeks from mid-November 2021 and 107 survey results were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. As a result, ego-resilience (r=.376, p<.001), self-efficacy (r=.590, p<.001), self-esteem (r=.495, p<.001) was found to have a positive correlation with self-regulated learning ability, respectively. These factors significantly affected self-regulated learning ability(adj. R2=.411, F=25.684, p<.001). The results of this study can be used as basic data for developing programs and new teaching methods for nursing college students preparing for the national examination.

  • Recently, ICT has emerged as an indispensable tool for teaching a variety of subjects in education systems. In this paper, we examine the effect of the instructional models for ICT on the practical ability in the application of information with relation to the levels of self-regulated learning strategies. Students were divided into 3 groups, according to the instructional model for ICT which were problem search learning, problem solution learning, and discussion learning. As an experimental tools, we did pretest using self-regulated learning strategies measurement questionnaire and did pretest and posttest using practical ability in the application of information measurement questionnaire. The results show that higher level of self-regulated teaming strategies group has high practical ability in the application of information than lower level group. Other interesting results are also provided.

  • Self-Regulated Learning Strategy is a kind of learning strategy that learners could choose and apply metacognitive, cognitive, motivational, and behavioral strategy autonomically and could take an active part in the classes. The purpose of the study was to identify aspects of self-regulated learning strategy with mathematical journal writing. Mathematical journal was composed of 13 questions and each of factor had 1~2 questions. The results of the study have revealed that metacognitive strategies were identified as setting up learning goals, seeking problem solving strategies, reflective thinking and providing examples. Cognitive strategy was identified as understanding the structure among ideas, sequential ranking and key ideas. Motivational strategy was identified as satisfaction and anxiety for studies, confidence and frustration for next studies. There are implications for mathematics education that self-regulated learning strategy can be improved with mathematical journal writing and help students to study mathematics efficiently and successfully.

  • The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between self-regulated learning, NLR(non-learning-related) behavior, interaction and flow on satisfaction in database classes. To achieve this purpose, this study proposed a research model consisting of self-regulated learning, NLR behavior, interaction, flow and satisfaction. A survey was conducted to test the research hypotheses, and a total of 122 online questionnaires were obtained and used for the final statistical analysis. The main findings of the analysis are as follows: First, flow was consistently identified as a key determinant of satisfaction. Second, self-regulated learning was found to have a significant effect on flow. Third, NLR behavior and interaction were found to mediate the relationship between self-regulated learning and flow. This study provides insights into the role of NLR behavior and interaction in promoting flow and offers implications for understanding how to promote flow.

  • There has been a notable increased interest of the study of emotions in educational contexts. The purpose of this study was to analyze predicting emotional variables of self-regulated learning strategies and self-handicapping strategies with the university students. Participants were 143 students of undergraduates at A University and B University. Collected data were analyzed by correlation analysis and regression analysis, respectively. It turned out that class related emotions, learning related emotions, and test emotions predicted self-handicapping strategies negatively. However, achievement emotions didn't predict self-regulated learning strategies. The result of this study will provide the theoretical basis and practical usefulness of academic emotions.

  • The major purpose of this study is to see the effects of medical students' self-regulated learning on career adaptability. Therefore, we carried out self-regulated learning and career adaptability tests for the 252 medical students belong to the K university to examine the above subject. Then the respondents were divided into two groups according to the level of career adaptability to see the group differences on self-regulated learning. The results of this research are as follows. The group of high career adaptability was scored higher than the lower scored group in every domains of self-regulated learning except test anxiety. And also the result of regression analysis to see the effects of self-regulated learning on sub-domains of the career adaptability like responsibility, interpersonal relationship, proactivity, positive attitude showed statistically significant differences to the total score of career adaptability except motivation controlling. Based on the above results, this study suggest the need of mediation related with self-regulation, and also the need of counselling and education to help the medical students suffering from adaptability. Furthermore, suggest following studies searching the multiple variables affecting career adaptability.
