  • It has been spent too much time to figure out the incident route when we are facing computer security incident. The incident often recurs moreover the damage is expanded because critical clues are lost while we are wasting time with hesitation. This paper suggests to build a Digital Evidence Map (DEM) in order to find out the incident cause speedy and accurately. The DEM is consist of the log chain which is a mesh relationship between machine data. And the DEM should be managed constantly because the log chain is vulnerable to various external facts. It could help handle the incident quickly and cost-effectively by acquainting it before incident. Thus we can prevent recurrence of incident by removing the root cause of it. Since the DEM has adopted artifacts in data as well as log, we could make effective response to APT attack and Anti-Forensic.

  • The earthquake input is required when the soil-structure interaction (SSI) analysis is performed by the direct finite element method. In this paper, the earthquake is considered as the obliquely incident plane body wave arising from the truncated linearly elastic layered half space. An earthquake input method is developed for the time-domain three-dimensional SSI analysis. It consists of a new site response analysis method for free field and the viscous-spring artificial boundary condition for scattered field. The proposed earthquake input method can be implemented in the process of building finite element model of commercial software. It can result in the highly accurate solution by using a relatively small SSI model. The initial condition is considered for the nonlinear SSI analysis. The Daikai subway station is analyzed as an example. The effectiveness of the proposed earthquake input method is verified. The effect of the obliquely incident earthquake is studied.

  • Maritime security incidents by pirates and by terrorists increase, but maritime incidents investigation models are limited to figure out the maritime security incidents. This paper provides the analysis model for maritime security incidents. To develop this analysis model, this categorizes five threat factors, the ship, the cargo type, port system, human factor, information flow system, makes the risk assessment matrix to quantify the risk related to threat factors and classifies four priority categories of risk assessment matrix. Also, this model makes from the frameworks which include a variety of security initiatives implementing in stakeholder levels like international organizations, individual governments, shipping companies, and the ship. Therefore, this paper develops the Analysis for Maritime Security Management model based on various security initiatives responding to the stakeholder levels of maritime security management and top-bottom/bottom-up decision trees, and shows the validity through verifying the real maritime security incident of M/V Petro Ranger.

  • This research suggests construction processes and security solutions for security control center as management measures for security management improvement in domestic electronic security companies. Security control center (SCC) is the central nerve of electronic security service, and no matter how well the on-site response system has been built, if SCC ceases to work due to an incident or disaster or security control personnel are harmed, the electronic security system cannot perform its proper functions. It is divided to a spatial structure, the infrastructure, control equipment, control solutions and operating structure in a construction process in the security control center. And a solution can be presented for physical security, information security, and personnel security in the way to security solutions.

  • According to the current basic law of disaster and safety management, Standard Incident Command System is limited to Emergency Rescue Function, and Incident Commanders are only Fire Fighting Agencies. The main purpose of this study is to provide some suggestions to improve general-purpose of Standard ICS for various incidents. Also, there are some suggestions for Emergency Operation Centers as a coordinator and supporter of mobilizing response resources in all large scale disaster.

  • With the cyber incidents increasing every year, opinions are being raised that legal system relating to incident reporting needs to be revised to improve the cyber incident reporting rate, etc. Accordingly, this paper suggests a legal improvement to enhance the effectiveness of cyber incident reporting. First, by analyzing domestic media coverage, this paper defines the problems which need to be improved regarding an incident reporting system as "unreported" and "not timely reporting". Then, this paper finds four requirements for legal improvement like "a reporting entity", "a starting point of reporting", "a reporting deadline" and "a protection of reporting information" by analyzing the relationship between reporting relating problems and issues published by overseas institutions and additionally by analyzing the need to revise the law. Finally, through an analysis of legislative cases, this paper suggests a legal improvement for the requirements.

  • With the advancement of network, privacy information as well as confidential information that belongs to government and company are exposed to security incident like spreading viruses or DDoS attack. To prevent these security incident and protect information that belongs to government and company, Security system has developed such as antivirus, firewall, IPS, VPN, and other network security system. Network security systems should be selected based on purpose, usage and cost. Verification for network security product's basic features performed in a variety of ways at home and abroad, but consumers who buy these network security product, just rely on the information presented at companies. Therefore, common user doing self performance evaluation for perform Verification before buying network security product but these verification depends on inaccurate data which based on some user's criteria. On this paper, we designing methodology of network security system performance evaluation focused on Korean using other cases of performance evaluation.

  • According to the development of information system, many information system and application soft-ware are develop. However, cyber attack and incident have more increased to the development of them. To defend from cyber attack and incident, many organizations has run information security systems, such as Intrusion Detection System, Firewall, VPN etc, and employed information Security person till now But they have many difficulty in operating these information security component because of the lack of organizational management and analysis of each role. In this paper, We propose the formal Cause-Effect Model related with the information security system and administrative mission per each security. In this model, we regard information system and information system operator as one information component. It is possible to compose the most suitable information component, such as information system, human resource etc., according to the analysis of Cause-Effect Model in this paper. These analysis and approaching methodology can make effective operation of each limited resource in organization and effective defense mechanism against many malicious cyber attack and incident.

  • Recently, there has been a growing interest in threat hunting presented to overcome the limitations of existing security solutions. Threat hunting is generally recognized as a technique for identifying and eliminating threats that exit inside the system. But, the definition is not clear, so there is confusion in terms with penetration testing, intrusion detection, and incident analysis. Therefore, in this paper, compare and analyze the definitions of threat hunting extracted from reports and papers to clarify their implications and compare with defense techniques.

  • U.S. Obama government is submit a motion to consider cyber attacks on State as a war. 7.7DDoS attack in Korea in 2009 and 3.4 DDoS attacks 2011, the country can be considered about cyber attacks. China hackers access a third country, bypassing South Korea IP by hacking the e-commerce sites with fake account, that incident was damaging finance. In this paper, for WiBro service, DDoS attacks, hackers, security incidents and vulnerabilities to the analysis. From hacker's attack, WiBro service's prognostic relevance by analyzing symptoms and attacks, in real time, Divide Red, Orange, Yellow, Green belonging to the risk rating. For hackers to create a blacklist, to defend against attacks in real-time air-conditioning system is the study of security. WiBro networks for incident tracking and detection after the packets through the national incident response should contribute to the development of technology.
