임상실습이 치위생 전공학생의 전문직 정체성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of clinical practice of dental hygiene students on professional identity)

  • Objectives : This study aimed to get the data necessary for dental hygiene students to perceive the need for establishing a professional identity as dental hygienists and developing a program which reinforce pride as a preliminary professional. Methods : The subjects were 695 dental hygiene students in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheong areas. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS program. Results : 1. The professional identity of dental hygiene students was 3.02 points, and the satisfaction with institutes for practice was 2.96 points. 2. The higher the satisfaction with the major was, the higher the identity was. Also, the identity was high when the frequency of clinical practice was 1 (3.11 points) and when they selected their major which corresponds with his aptitude (3.20 points). 3. The satisfaction with clinical practice was high when they didn't have any experience in dental clinic before clinical practice and when the satisfaction with the major was high. 4. Regarding the correlation between the professional identity and the satisfaction with clinical practice, the higher the satisfaction with clinical practice, the higher the professional identity. 5. The effective variables regarding the professional identity were satisfaction with a major, satisfaction with clinical practice, and frequency of clinical practice. Conclusions : The professional identity of students may be established through school education involving clinical practice. The identity of students may affect the occupational satisfaction, the identity and the work efficiency of dental hygienists in the future. Thus, it is deemed necessary to have a continued collaborative relationship between a school and an institute for clinical practice so that students may establish their correct views and identity.

간호대학생의 노인간호학 실습 후 임상실습 스트레스, 임상실습 만족도 및 간호이미지와의 융복합적 관련성 (Convergence Relationship between Clinical Practice Stress after Gerontological Nursing Practice, Clinical Practice Satisfaction and Nursing Image of Nursing College Students)

  • 본 연구는 노인간호학 실습 경험이 있는 간호대학생의 임상실습 스트레스, 임상실습만족도 및 간호이미지와의 관련성을 파악하고 간호이미지에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위함이다. 간호대학생 150명을 대상으로 2016년 9월1일부터 9월23일까지 자료를 수집하였으며 SPSS/Win 23.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 임상실습 스트레스는 3.13, 임상실습만족도는 3.14, 간호이미지는 3.32이었으며, 상관분석결과, 임상실습 스트레스와 임상실습만족도, 임상실습 스트레스와 간호이미지는 음의 상관관계가, 임상실습만족도와 간호이미지는 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 간호이미지에 미치는 영향요인은 임상실습만족도(${\beta}=.602$)로 설명력은 40%이었다. 따라서 간호대학생의 간호이미지, 노인간호학 실습만족도를 향상시키기 위한 효율적인 간호교육 및 실습전략이 필요하다.

일 간호대학생의 스트레스, 우울, 대처방법과 임상실습 만족도 (Stress, Depression, Coping Styles and Satisfaction of Clinical Practice in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among stress, depression, coping styles and satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students. Method: Two hundred fifty-eight nursing college students in 1 city were selected by convenient sample. A questionnaire measured the level of stress, depression, coping styles and satisfaction of clinical practice. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result: The mean score of stress was 2.82 (${\pm}.39$), depression was 19.23 (${\pm}7.70$), coping styles was 2.42 (${\pm}.42$), and satisfaction of clinical practice was 2.81 (${\pm}.41$). There were significant differences on four variables according to the satisfaction of a nursing major. Stress had a significant positive correlation with depression, and a negative correlation with problem focused coping and satisfaction of clinical practice. Depression had a significant negative correlation with satisfaction of clinical practice. Emotional focused coping had a significant positive correlation with depression, and problem focused coping had a significant negative correlation with depression. Conclusion: From the studies reviewed, one can expect a positive effect on decreasing stress and depression among nursing students when the nursing educators use counseling and instruction for clinical practice.

응급구조(학)과 학생의 스트레스, 우울, 대처방법 및 임상실습 만족도 (Stress, depression, coping styles and satisfaction of clinical practice in EMT-paramedic students)

  • Purpose : The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between stress, depression, coping styles, and satisfaction of clinical practice in paramedic students. Methods : The study was conducted to 221 paramedic students who have experienced clinical training from March until June in 2012. Questionnaires consisted of level of stress, depression, coping styles, and satisfaction of clinical practice. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results : The mean score of stress was $2.69({\pm}.69)$, depression was $19.09({\pm}9.41)$, coping styles was $3.17({\pm}.47)$, and satisfaction of clinical practice was $3.61({\pm}.58)$. Stress had a significant positive correlation with depression and a negative correlation with active coping and satisfaction of clinical practice. Depression had a significant positive correlation with passive coping and a negative correlation with satisfaction of clinical practice. Active coping had a significant positive correlation with passive coping and satisfaction of clinical practice. Conclusion : There was a positive effect on decreasing stress and depression in paramedic students, and encouraging positive coping when the students received counseling and instruction for clinical practice.

학제에 따른 치위생과 학생의 임상실습 만족도와 관련 요인 (Influencing factors of and satisfaction with clinical practice between college and university dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: This research aimed to identify the influential factors that affect the satisfaction of dental hygiene students' clinical training between college and university and contribute to improvement in clinical practice quality. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 210 dental clinical hygienists from June 10 to August 30, 2018. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. An independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's post-hoc test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient were employed, and a stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: Regarding the influential factors of satisfaction with clinical practice among dental hygiene students, in the case of college students, dental hygienist practice instructor dummy, self-efficacy, satisfaction of school life, interpersonal relation was the increasing order. In the case of university students, dental hygienist practice instructors, subjective health, satisfaction with school life, and interpersonal relations was the increasing order. Conclusions: The most influential factor of dental hygiene students' clinical practice satisfaction between college and university was the ability to form interpersonal relationships. Therefore, to increase the satisfaction of dental hygiene students with clinical practice between college and university, external sources and efforts to emphasize internal sources are required.

안경광학과 학생들의 현장(임상)실습 만족도에 따른 취업 성향 분석 (Analysis of Employment Tendencies According to the Satisfaction of Field (Clinical) Practice among Students of the Department of Optics)

  • Purpose. This research study is to understand the effects of field (clinical) Practice on employment choice and decision. Method. The research study conducts a questionnaire survey of trainees who received field (clinical) Training during the period of 2016 summer vacation to analyze the data, utilizing Likert 5 rating scales and conduct a statistical analysis with the tool of SPSS 18.0. Results.. As for the satisfaction of the participation of Practice, girl students account for the high rate (75.1%) compared with boy students (61.7%). Regarding the satisfaction of each Practice spot, ophthalmic clinic reaches the high rate (77.8%) compared with optical shop (65.7%). Practice about practice courses (53.2%) of regular subjects have somewhat close correlations compared with theory courses (46.8%). 75.2% of respondents in the group that shows the high satisfaction of the participation of Practice replied that they would decide employment as an academic major after Practice. And the figure is proved to assume a high ratio. Conclusion. The analytic research outcome indicates that those trainees who received Practice in an ophthalmic clinic have higher satisfaction than those who received Practice in an optical shop. There is the high accomplishment of employment in relation to academic major area instead of other area, after Practice.

일부 치위생과 학생의 자기효능감, 피로, 의사소통능력과 임상실습 만족도와의 관련요인 (Self Efficacy, Fatigue, Communication Competence and Satisfaction of Clinical Practice and its Related Factors among Some Dental Hygiene Students)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to provide basic educational data for improvement of satisfaction in clinical practice by investigating the relationship of clinical practice satisfaction with self-efficacy, fatigue and communication skill in dental hygiene students. Methods: A survey using a self-administered questionnaire was conducted among 205 second- and third-year students enrolled in an dental hygiene program at three colleges located in A and B province from March 10 to April 10, 2018. Results: Satisfaction level of clinical practice was significantly higher in the group more satisfied with their majors, with more healthy subjective health status, more satisfied with their interpersonal relationships, with a higher self-efficacy, with a lower fatigue, and with better communication skill. Clinical practice satisfaction had a significantly positive correlation with self-efficacy and communication skill and a significantly negative correlation with fatigue. Factors affecting clinical practice satisfaction in the subjects were communication skill, self-efficacy and fatigue. The total variance explained by all three variables was 20%. Conclusion: Further studies and development of education programs including a broad range of strategies for clinical training are warranted by reflecting those related variables to improve clinical practice satisfaction in dental hygiene students.

치위생과 학생이 지각한 가족지지와 임상실습 만족도와의 관계연구 (A study on the relationship between perceived family support and satisfaction of clinical practice by dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the degree of family support and the degree of satisfaction in clinical practice by dental hygiene students. Methods : In this study, convenience sampling was conducted in 272 dental hygiene students from 3 dental hygiene colleges in South Jeolla Province, from October 4 through 15, 2010. A survey was conducted by using structured questionnaires. The data was analyzed by t-test, a one way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results : Family support according to general characteristics showed a significant difference by economic status(p<0.001), satisfaction of major(p<0.01), and interpersonal relationship(p<0.05). Satisfaction degree on clinical practice according to general characteristics showed a significant difference by satisfaction of major(p<0.05) and interpersonal relationship(p<0.05). The relationship between generally perceived family support correlated with the degree of satisfaction in clinical practice(r=.154, p<0.05). Conclusions : It was found that a higher degree of satisfaction in clinical practice depends on a higher degree of family support. Therefore it is required to program development to improve satisfaction level of clinical practice by family support.

간호대학생의 임상실습 중 경험한 언어폭력, 임상실습 스트레스 및 스트레스 대처가 전공 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of verbal violence, clinical practice stress, and coping with stress on nursing students' major satisfaction during clinical practice)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the effect of verbal violence, clinical practice stress, and coping with stress on the major satisfaction in nursing students during clinical practice. Methods: A cross-sectional study was used. A survey was conducted from May 3 to May 10, 2022, on 200 nursing students who were in their junior and seneior years at two universities in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé's test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis were employed to analyze the data. Results: Major satisfaction was found to be significantly negatively correlated with verbal violence (r=-.30, p<.001) and clinical practice stress (r=-.15, p=.032) and to be positively correlated with coping with stress (r=.24, p<.001). Their satisfaction with clinical practice (β=.29, p=.037), verbal violence (β=-.23, p<.001), coping with stress (β=.16, p=.015), religion (β=.14, p=.041), and clinical practice stress (β =-.13, p=.048) explained 19.3% of the variance in nursing students' major satisfaction during clinical practice. Conclusion: A verbal violence and coping with stress program for nursing students should be developed to increase nursing students' major satisfaction during clinical practice.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among stress, depression, and satisfaction to clinical practice in nursing students. Methods: Three hundred forty-five nursing college students were selected by convenient sampling and data were collected from October to November, 2011. Results: The nursing students experienced moderate stress level. The most severe stressors were adjustment to school and clinical practice. Also, they experienced more than moderate level of satisfaction on clinical practice. The most satisfiable factors were clinical practice circumstance and practice hours. The sophomore had more severe stress and depression and had lower clinical practice satisfaction than the junior. Satisfying with major in nursing as well as clinical practice had a significantly negative correlation with stress and depression. Conclusion: Based on this results, we need to develop programs for increasing satisfaction to clinical practice and major in nursing. The program will enhance adaptation ability to clinical practice.
