Comparison of Motives and Satisfaction of Civil Society Organizations to Participate in Volunteering (Focusing on the Beautiful store volunteers)

  • Purpose: As environmental and social problems such as disasters caused by climate change and the rapid transition to an ultra-aging society are rapidly emerging, the voluntary participation of citizens in civil society is a good alternative to solve various social problems, and the necessity and role of volunteering is gradually being emphasized. Research design, data, and methodology: This study examined the motivation and satisfaction of volunteer participation and conducted a comparison analysis, focusing on the 2013 Beautiful Store Volunteer Satisfaction Survey and the 2021 Volunteer Satisfaction Survey data. Results: To summarize the main results of the study, first, the motivation to start volunteering was to respond that the individual's subjective disposition influenced the motivation to start volunteering. Second, volunteer participants were able to gain recognition and psychological comfort through volunteer activities. In addition, the satisfaction of the part that increases the confidence of volunteer participants can be seen as a positive change in volunteer work. Third, in relation to the continuity of volunteer work, it was found that problems related to managers and conflicts between organizations and individuals were largely emerging as factors that caused them to quit volunteering. Conclusions: Volunteers should be more interested in cooperation and communication and promote discussions on improvement for sustainable service in communication between other volunteers and managers.

  • Safety management is the most important factor in the construction industry. If the construction company don't control the risk, it causes the accident which give the company fatal loss. According to the Korea industrial safety analysis reports, the 25.72% of the disasters are from the construction industry, and the 13.6% construction disasters are caused by not properly using the safety gears. Therefore, this study is to investigate the Wearing Safety Gear by Occupational Classification and the Satisfaction in the Construction Field. The results are ; Carpenters are dissatisfied with the safety shoes and belt, re-bar workers are dissatisfied with the safety helmet and shoes, Concrete workers are dissatisfied with the safety helmet and goggles.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of safety culture on job satisfaction and organizational commitment and mediation effect of Organizational trust between independent variable and two dependent variables. Based on the responses from 290 employees, the results reveals ; 1) Organizational safety culture has a positive effect on the job satisfactions and organizational safety culture effect positively on the organizational commitment 2) Organizational trust mediates the relationships between safety culture and job satisfaction. 3) Organizational trust mediates the relationships between safety culture and organizational commitment.

Effect of 360-degree Hospitalization Guide Video Content for ICU Caregivers on Anxiety, Satisfaction and Safety Perception

  • The purpose of this study was to provide a 360-degree video on intensive care unit admission guidance to family members admitted to the intensive care unit, and then to identify anxiety, safety perception, and satisfaction. This study was a single-group pre-post design, and the data collection period was from October 1, 2020 to August 30, 2021. The subjects of this study were 19 people who applied 360 degree hospitalization guide video. For data analysis, SPSS WIN 24.0 program was used, and real number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum value, maximum value, and Wilcoxon signed rank test were used. The subjects' anxiety before intervention was an average score of 6.21±2.30 and the anxiety after intervention was an average score of 3.95±2.46, which was statistically significant (z=4.13, p<.001). The safety consciousness of the subjects before the intervention was an average of 4.08±0.39 and the safety consciousness after the intervention was an average of 4.54±0.48, which was statistically significant (z=5.00, p=.001). The highest level of satisfaction with the 360-degree hospitalization guidance image of the subjects was 4.58±0.51 and the lowest was 4.16±0.96. In this study, when 360-degree hospitalization guide video was applied, there was a difference in anxiety and safety perception, and satisfaction was high. Based on the research results, various programs for guardian education can be developed and utilized in the future.

Organizational Personality Types, Employer-Organization Fit and Job Satisfaction/Involvement of the Nuclear Power Plants (원자력발전소 조직의 성향과 종사자의 조직적합도 및 직무만족/몰입)

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the organizational personality types, employee-organization fits and the job satisfaction/involvement in a Korea standard nuclear power plant(NPP), which is a representative safety work place. First we chose 427 procedures that are related to safety out of 777 officially managed procedures referenced by 13.5 of FSAR(final safety analysis report). Next, we finally chose 70 procedures of 8 divisions for 44 employees regarding the duties for NPPs' division, experiences of operations, an operational know-how, and the indication of operational weakness. This study used OPTI(organizational personality type indicators) and the combination of 4 preference types for determining the organizational personality to produce personality types of organizations for NPPs' division. To assess the job satisfaction and involvement, we used a questionnaire and an interview, for 300 employees(83.5%) of the Korea standard NPP.

Impacts of the Establishments' Safety Behavior, Safety and Health Delivery and Communication on Occupational Safety and Health Policy Satisfaction

  • In this paper, we conducted a study to understand the impacts of safety behavior, safety and health delivery and communication, which should be managed for the establishments' safety and health control on occupational safety and health policy satisfaction to utilize that as a material for preparing policy support and preventive measures. For this purpose, we conducted a statistic analysis with 2,970 establishments, utilizing the material, "2015 Occupational Safety and Health Company Survey". As a result, in the manufacturing industry, it turned out in the establishments with more than 300 workers, safety behavior, safety and health delivery and communication of the cooperative firm of the prime contractor were high. In addition, it turned out that safety behaviors had the biggest impact on occupational safety and health policy satisfaction in the manufacturing industry and safety and health delivery and communication had the biggest impact on occupational safety and health policy satisfaction in the construction industry and other industries. As for the relationship between companies, it turned out that safety behaviors had the biggest impact on that between the parent company and a cooperative firm of a prime contractor while safety and health delivery and communication on that between the prime contractor and the subcontractor. Through the results of this study, it is necessary to build up safety and health behavior and safety and health delivery and communication systems for the characteristics of the company, and it is expected that the effect of the safety and health control will increase when policy support is made accordingly.

The Study on the Correlation Analysis between the Experienced Crime Victimization Rate and the Evaluation Indicator for Residents' Safety of Outdoor Spaces from Crime in Multi-Family Housing (공동주택단지에서의 범죄피해경험율과 범죄로부터의 안전성(safety) 평가 지표간의 상관성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the correlation analysis between the experienced crime victimization rate and the evaluation indicator of residents' safety of outdoor spaces from crime in multi-family housing. Additionally this paper intend to analyze the correlation analysis between the residents' satisfaction about safety and the evaluation indicator of residents' safety of outdoor spaces. For that purpose, 9 Multi-Family Housing located in the metropolitan area were selected to perform a survey against 349 residents during May 26-29, 2006. The SPSS program was used and the level of satisfaction ranged from 1 to 5. Scale of 5 being most satisfied while 1 being most dissatisfied. The results of this study are the followings; 1) Most occurred crime were auto theft and damages, poster matter theft, housebreaking. 2) The crime rate is higher in outdoor than in indoor. 3) This study proved the correlation between the residents' satisfaction about housing safety and most indicators except the number of households etc. 4) By the results of the correlation coefficient it makes clear that the number of apartment building, the visibility of Green Space, the location of pedestrian etc. have relation with the residents' satisfaction about housing safety.

Analysis of Hazard Exposures, Health Problems, and Job Satisfaction of Elderly Workers in Agriculture (고령 농업인의 위험요인 노출, 건강 문제, 직업 만족도 특성 분석)

  • This study identified hazard exposures, health problems, and job satisfaction among elderly agricultural workers. A total of 1,340 agricultural workers (1,079 males and 261 females) were extracted from the 6th Korean Working Conditions Survey data. Three age groups (A: 40s or below, B: 50s, and C: 60s or above) were statistically compared in hazard exposures, health problems, and job satisfaction. Elderly agricultural workers (60s or above) had significantly more exposure to ergonomic hazards, severe health problems, and lower job satisfaction than young agricultural workers. The study findings may help understand the characteristics of hazard exposures, health problems, and job satisfaction of elderly agricultural workers and will be useful for improving these conditions.

The relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, and moderating effect of gender (서비스품질과 고객만족의 관계 및 성별 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, and the moderating effect of gender. Based on the responses from 807 customers who encountered employees in telecommunication industry, the results of multiple regressional analysis showed that all service quality factors have positive relationships with customer satisfaction. The results of moderating analysis showed that empathy and tangibility have positive interactive-effects on customer satisfaction with gender. With increasing of empathy and tangibility, female customers have been more satisfied than male customers.

The mediating effect of service quality between internal marketing and customer satisfaction (호텔종사자의 내부마케팅과 고객만족의 관계에서 서비스품질의 매개효과)

  • This paper reviewed the relationship among internal marketing, service quality and customer satisfaction, and the mediating effect of service quality. Based on the responses from 163 hotel employees and 489 customers who encountered them, the results of hierarchical regressional analysis showed that all internal marketing factors have positive relationships with service quality, and service quality has positive relationship with customer satisfaction. Also, service quality has mediating effect between four internal marketing factors(education, compensation, delegation of authority, and internal communication) and customer satisfaction.
