철강 제조업 근로자의 직무 스트레스 분석 및 대책 방안 (Analysis and Countermeasure of Occupational Stress for Steel Manufacturing Worker)

  • Occupational stresses of steel manufacturing workers have been investigated using an organized questionnaire composed of 40 items. Three hypothesizes were developed based on the literature review of related researches. Empirical data surveyed from ones working in steel manufacturing jobs were collected and the in-depth statistical analyses using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS) software were performed. These statistical results indicate that the existence of occupational stress may cause to take place industrial accidents. Consequentially, the prevention of occupational stress helps to promote the will to work, following by increasing job satisfaction in working circumstance of steel manufacturing.

  • Recently, South Korea is reaching aged society through ageing society. Accordingly, facility related to aged is increased consistently because of effort to improve the welfare of the elderly through elderly long term care insurance in 2008. however, the number of fires in the elderly facilities is increasing rapidly too. It is becoming bigger and higher and the characteristics of person who is unable to afford are mostly having difficult evacuation. so fire safety guildelines are urgently needed but korea research is insufficient. In this study, we propose a fire scenario through investigation of fire causes for fire safety guideline development of elderly facility, and describe to the fire safety countermeasure.

지질단면을 이용한 교량 접속도로 퇴적암 비탈면의 안정성 검토 연구 (Slope Stability for Bridge Access Road on Sedimentary Rocks using Geological Cross Sections)

  • 연구 대상은 교량 접속도로 절취비탈면으로서 파괴 위험 가능성이 큰 중생대 경상누층군 퇴적암 비탈면이다. 비탈면의 구성 암석은 사암, 미사암 및 암맥이며, 불연속면은 층리와 전단절리, 인장절리 및 암맥 접촉면이 발달한다. 구간별로 파괴의 유형과 규모는 암석의 종류와 불연속면의 배향에 따라 다양하나 평면파괴가 우세하고, 파괴암체의 크기는 대부분 1m3 이하이다. face-mapping 자료, SMR, 암석의 물성·역학시험, 구간별 지질횡단면도 분석 및 한계평형해석으로 종합·검토한 결과, 대표적 단면 모두 건기 시와 우기 시의 허용안전율에 크게 미달하여 대책공법이 필요 하였다. 따라서 경제성, 효율성, 현장 특성, 등을 고려하여 비탈면 내 구간과 위치에 따라 대책공법 안을 제안하였고 대책공법을 적용한 후 비탈면의 건기 및 우기 시의 안전율은 모두 허용안전율을 상회 하였다. 특히, 법면 face-mapping 자료와 법면에 수직인 여러 대표 구간의 지질횡단면도, 그를 기본도면으로 사용한 한계평형해석 및 대책공법 제시는 비탈면의 객관적인 해석 및 안정성 검토의 합리적인 도구가 될 것으로 예상한다.

A Study on Status Laboratory Safety and Improvement According to the Safety Consciousness Survey of University Students in Korea

  • In laboratories, researchers frequently work using new methods with new tools and materials. So the workers in laboratories are exposed to risk from dangerous articles all the time. In the case of university laboratories, testing is done by the individual at night. Because of that, the risks in university laboratories are higher than in other places. In addition, students and managers in universities generally have little concern for laboratory safety. So students are sometimes injured or killed in laboratory accidents. In this study, 1,000 university students answered questions about university laboratory safety. Their answers have been analyzed to determine the state of actual conditions and to formulate countermeasures. The results indicate that we need to change the safety awareness of the universities and the students. Adequate safety training and safe practice must be implemented by each university to decrease accidents. Development of systematic safety training program suited to the specific conditions of the individual laboratory and formulation of specific counter plans should accidents occur are required.

이동형 전기기기의 감전재해 특성 및 그 대책 (The Characteristics of Electric Shock Accidents and Their Countermeasures for Portable Electrical Tools)

  • According to the data of Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, electric shock accidents during recent 11 years exceeded more than 60% in architecture/other and construction work, the countermeasures for safety are required in the harsh environment of a construction site where moving electric machines and equipments are widely used. The establishment of countermeasure for insulation degradation and defect is required, in consideration of increasing trend for accidents caused by defective insulation among low voltage electrical installation each year. The aim of this study is to propose the policy about portable electrical tool standards and/or worker's safety standards for preventing electric shock accidents on safety workings, and is to develop the technology and the safety device to prevent electric shock for accident prevention reduction through experiments. It obtained the followings through this study; statistical data analysis of late about 10 years of electric shock-related industrial accidents analysis and portable electric tools; safety device development of 'device for testing continuous grounding and power shut-down' to prevent electric shock from portable electric tools. Furthermore, developed results and proposal in this study will help to prevent the electric shock accidents from portable electric tools and will be expected the utilization of policy formulation, educational data and field supplement of the safety device, and etc.

  • In Korea, the Seoul subway line 1 was opened in 1974 and the subway service is being operated in Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, Daejeon, and Inchon. The subway station is related to a underground shopping mall that was developed as complex spaces. According to the time of people's stay at the underground space, the necessity about the safety countermeasure of the underground space has been enlarged. Therefore the result of this study is t propose guidelines for improving the evacuation safety performance in underground subway stations.

  • Predict-Plan-Do is the main point to settle Safety management well, but we have neither Predict nor Plan. So just like the system of English CDM is necessary to be adapted in construction work which makes them work in full responsibility by clarifying the responsibility located step by step from planning to designing & constructing-To adapt this system needs more money for Safety than now, but this system makes companies earn maximum confidence & profit by accident prevention. Furthermore leads the nation and the society to earn large profit, then open the road to Welfare State. If you sees only the things such as money, profit, etc before your eyes, no more safety remains. That means no more respect of persons and no more welfare state.

발크캐리어의 안전성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study for the Improvement of Safety of Bulk Carriers)

  • Concerns related to the safety of bulk carriers we, most of all, the increasing number of bulk carrier accidents which amount to 425 during last 20 years; half of them are totally lost. A number of bulk tarriers are still missing. Bulk carrier safety has become an international issue since 1995. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) embarked on the legislation as a countermeasure to the increasing number of the bulk carrier accidents. The IMO discussed in the safety of bulk carriers including the strength of transverse watertight bulkheads, especially when the ship carries high density cargoes and the damage stability of bulk carriers in the flooded condition. In this study, statistics and causes of accidents of bulk carriers are analyzed in order to identify special features of bulk carrier accident and causes of the casualty. This study examines certain cases of hull collapses and severence which resulted in sinking to infer possible causes of missing ships.

  • In January, 2005, the "Railroad Safety Act" was presented, preparing the systematic equipment that allows several railroad operators to consider the railroad safety issue, and each of the railroad operative institutions accepted such situation that the construction of the emergent system of coping, resulting in the construction of the emergent system of coping with the railroad fire accident through the relevant study to improve the railroad security efficiency against fire. This study tried to present the on developing the emergent educational program for coping with the KTX fire accident, which is distributed to the spot, to the railroad emergency staff for improving the railroad security efficiency against fire through the education of systematic and efficient emergent countermeasure procedures against fire accidents the fire accident in KTX.

화약산업의 발파안전대책 - 소음진동 및 안전거리 설정을 중심으로 - (A Study of the Safe Measure Industrial Explosives)

  • This study is concerned with the disasters that occure in the field of industrial explosives and analyzed by two side the disaster of the manufacturing factory and that of the field, and is studied about the safety and the countermeasure. The industrial explosives accidents occure just accidentaly and unforeseeable, and reappearance experiments are more difficult. The 3E of J.H. Harvey was applied in this study to establish the counter measure of preventation of accidents, overcoming these restricted factores. As a method of technical safety countermeasures. The blasting vibration formula which had been conformed from the Seoul Subway Construction work during 1980-1984 year, was uilized, and, using the formula $V=Kw^{0.5}D^{-1.5}$ for the gneiss which is widely distributed in Pusan area, an index of the minimum and maximum amount of gun powder, to be used according to safety distance was made, and it helped the gun powder managing technician's practical business. During the fore work discharging, the safety distances of felling were theoretically established based on the writer ${\diagdown}s$ experiences of more than 10 years on this field.
