단체급식에서의 센트럴 키친 제품 이용 실태 조사 (A Survey on the Using Practice of the Central Kitchen Products in the Catering)

  • This study conducted a questionnaire survey of the current use status of central kitchen products on 198 dietitians and cooks working at a catering center of a company affiliated with group S in order to investigate the use state of the central kitchen products in catering. The largest groups of respondents answered that they use the central kitchen products once two to four days. As a reason to use it, the largest group answered that they used it because of the ease of preparation. In addition, the results show that the subjects often use sauce and processed vegetables among the central kitchen products. This study investigated the efficiency of cooking, hygiene and safety management of the central kitchen products. The results show that they have a large effect on shortening the cooking time. The quality control and service efficiency of the central kitchen products showed a positive reaction to the menu diversification and excellent quality but a negative reaction to the nutritious superiority. The operating cost efficiency of the central kitchen products generally showed a negative reaction except for the reducing effect of waste rate. As an improvement of the central kitchen products, the survey shows that the reduction in price and quality progress should be most urgently improved. Based on these results, the introduction of the central kitchen products into to the catering enables to standardize mass production, improve the taste and quality, cook without professional chefs and produce productivity increasing effect in the catering by the time shortening effect.

Immunogenomics approaches to study host innate immunity against intestinal parasites

  • Poultry products including meat and eggs constitute a major protein source in the American diet and disease - causing pathogens represent major challenges to the poultry industry. More than 95 % of pathogens enter the host through the mucosal surfaces of the respiratory, digestive and reproductive tracts and over the past few decades, the two main mechanisms used to control diseases have been the use of vaccines and antibiotics. However, in the poultry industry, there are mounting concerns over the ability of current vaccines to adequately protect against emerging hyper - virulent strains of pathogens and a lack of suitable, cost effective adjuvants. Thorough investigation of the immunogenetic responses involved in host-pathogen interactions will lead to the development of new and effective strategies for improving poultry health, food safety and the economic viability of the US poultry industry. In this paper, I describe the development of immunogenomic and proteomic tools to fundamentally determine and characterize the immunological mechanisms of the avian host to economically significant mucosal pathogens such as Eimeria. Recent completion of poultry genome sequencing and the development of several tissue-specific cDNA libraries in chickens are facilitating the rapid application of functional immunogenomics in the poultry disease research. Furthermore, research involving functional genomics, immunology and bioinformatics is providing novel insights into the processes of disease and immunity to microbial pathogens at mucosal surfaces. In this presentation, a new strategy of global gene expression using avian macrophage (AMM) to characterize the multiple pathways related to the variable immune responses of the host to Eimeria is described. This functional immunogenomics approach will increase current understanding of how mucosal immunity to infectious agents operates, and how it may be enhanced to enable the rational development of new and effective strategies against coccidiosis and other mucosal pathogens.

말기암 환자의 통증 치료에 있어 서방형 몰핀과 경피형 펜타닐의 비교 연구 (Comparison of Controlled-release Oral Morphine with Transdermal Fentanyl in the Management of Terminal Cancer Pain)

  • Background: For terminal cancer pain management, controlled-release oral morphine (morphine sulfate tablet, MST) is a simple and convenient regimen. Recently, fentanyl transdermal therapeutic system (F-TTS, transdermal fentanyl) has been developed and became one of the alternative ways of providing adequate pain relief. This open prospective study was designed to compare the analgesic efficacy and safety of MST and transdermal fentanyl in the management of terminal cancer pain. Methods: In this open comparative and randomized study, 64 terminal cancer patients received one treatment for 15 days, controlled-release oral morphine (MST group) or fentanyl transdermal therapeutic system (F-TTS group). Daily diaries about the vital sign, visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, opioids requirement, co-anagesics, adjuvant drugs and adverse effects were completed with 24 patients in MST group, 18 patients in F-TTS group. Results: The majority of patients in both treatment groups were late-stage cancer and their distribution was not different in both groups. Daily opioids requirement was 126.4 mg in MST uced in F-TTS group (P<0.05). The incidence of nausea, vomiting and constipation was lower in F-TTS group (P<0.05). Patients satisfaction was similar, but F-TTS patient group favored continous use of same treatment compared with MST group after the study was finished. Conclusions: Transdermal fentanyl seems to be safe and similar analgesic effect to controlled-release oral morphine for the control of the terminal cancer patients. However, transdermal fentanyl provides a simpler and more convenient especially in respect to constipation, nausea & vomiting. To determine the exact analgesic effect, cost-effectiveness and complications, controlled trials should be followed.

  • Wi-Fi 기반의 차량과 기지국간 (vehicle-to-infrastructure, V2I) 통신은 차량과 승객의 안전과 편의 및 교통 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법으로 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 노변에 위치한 엑세스 포인터 (access point, AP)는 이동차량에게 비용적인 측면에서 효과적인 인터넷 연결을 지원할 수 있지만, 차량의 빠른 이동과 AP의 제한된 전송거리는 빈번한 핸드오프를 유발한다. 그러한 문제점은 모바일 AP (mobile AP, MAP) 플랫폼을 사용하여 해결할 수 있다. MAP는 노변에 위치한 AP보다 적은 양의 대역폭을 제공하지만, 차량과 함께 이동함에 따라 더 오랜 시간 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 이 논문은 이동차량이 노변의 고정된 AP 혹은 MAP 중에서 효과적으로 AP를 선택할 수 있는 하나의 새로운 AP 선택 기법을 제안한다. AP 선택기준을 위하여 AP의 접속 가용시간과 제공 가능 대역폭을 함께 고려하고, 그러한 기준을 바탕으로 AP 선택 기법을 제안한다. 실제 버스 트레이스 기반의 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 기법이 기존의 방법보다 좋은 성능을 제공하는 것을 보여준다.

항공방제용 농약의 혼용가능 조합 선발 및 생물효과 (Selection and Bioactivity of Tank Mix Combinations of Pesticides for Aerial Application)

  • 벼의 주요 병해충인 도열병, 잎집무늬마름병, 벼멸구 및 나방류를 동시에 방제할 수 있는 항공방제용 고농도 소량살포 가능 농약혼용조합 209조합에 대하여 시험한 결과, 벼는 물론 주변작물에 약해가 없고 살포액의 물리성이 양호한 tricyclazole SC + validamycin-A SL + imidacloprid SL 등 우수 혼용조합 93 조합을 최종 선발하였다. 선발된 조합의 항공살포에 의한 약효는 일반살포의 방제효과와 비슷하였다. 또한 유인헬기에 의한 항공방제는 일반 관행살포에 비해 방제비용을 1/4 수준으로 크게 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 차선유지 제어시스템, 적응식순항 제어시스템과 같은 첨단운전 지원시스템은 기본적으로 차량의 거동 정보를 기반으로 구동되지만, 최근 도로의 기하학적 정보를 추가적으로 활용하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히, 도로의 종단경사는 차량의 가감속 제어 및 항법알고리즘 구현에 있어 필수적인 정보로서 DGPS-RTK와 같은 고가의 장비로 직접 측정하는 방법과 디지털 맵에 저장된 속성정보를 활용하는 방식이 제안되고 있으나, 상용화 관점에서는 아직 많은 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 추가 센서의 장착없이 연속형 확장칼만필터를 활용하여 차량의 동특성과 도로종단경사를 효율적으로 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 도로종단경사를 포함하는 3자유도 차량동역학 모델과 차량의 내부 네트워크롤 통해 수집할 수 있는 차량의 상태정보를 기반으로 확장칼만필터를 설계하여 차량의 동특성과 도로종단경사를 추정한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 시뮬레이션과 실차실험을 통해 그 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 차량의 전자제어 시스템은 운전자의 안전을 확보하려는 법률적, 사회적 요구에 발맞추어 빠르게 발달하고 있으며, 하드웨어의 가격하락과 센서 및 프로세서의 고성능화에 따라 레이더, 카메라, 레이저와 같은 다양한 센서를 적용한 다양한 운전자 지원 시스템 (Driver Assistance System)이 실용화되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 CCD 카메라로부터 취득되는 영상을 이용하여 실험차량의 주행 차선 및 주변에 위치하거나 접근하는 차량을 인식할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였으며, 선행 연구에서 개발된 위험운전 판단 알고리즘과 통합하여 위험운전에 대한 원인 및 결과를 분석 할 수 있는 Vision 시스템 기반 위험운전 분석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 위험운전 분석 프로그램은 위험운전판단 알고리즘의 판단변수인 차량 거동 데이터와 차선 및 차량인식 프로그램에서 획득된 정보와 융합하여 위험운전 행위의 원인 및 결과를 효과적으로 분석할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

보트제작 공정융합과 자동화를 위한 베큠인퓨전 시스템 구현 (Vacuum Infusion System for Manufacture Process Convergence and Automation of Boat)

  • 본 논문에서는 보트 안정성 및 품질 향상을 위해 배큠인퓨전(vacuum infusion) 자동화 기술을 개발한 다. 보트 생산시 매우 짧은 시간에 정확한 혼합비율로 수지와 경화제가 혼합되어 진공으로 선체와 데크 내부에 흡착되기 때문에 강도 변형 및 후(後) 변형성 등은 매우 중요하다. 배큠인퓨전 시스템을 이용하면 수지와 경화제의 혼합 비율 등의 조건을 정확하게 제어하고, 보트의 건조 및 강성 확보를 위한 최적 조건을 찾는 것이 가능하게 된다. 시간대별 수지 유동율 및 수지 흐름도 등은 작업 조건에 대한 모델별 정보 분석 및 최적화 정보를 DB화하여 내구성 등의 품질을 향상시킨다. 또한 다수 작업장에서 소수 작업 인원으로 효율적인 생산 공정 관리가 가능하여 생산비를 절감 한다.

Rediscovering A Path to Aging in Place: Development of Housing Cooperatives for Rural Elderly

  • Profit-keeping behaviors naturally occur in the market to satisfy consumers, and the logic behind it lies in the economies of scale. On the flip side, some commodities transacted in the market are not available or can not be easily acquired unless the demand is high enough. Under this proposition, some consumers rise and find their own solution to meet the services at a reasonable cost or at an adequate level. The commonly adopted way is to establish a cooperative, and it stirs purchasing power by pooling resources and further bargains price and service quality. As a consumer cooperative, housing cooperatives notably found in rural towns enable the elderly to continue independent living. This study is to take a closer look at residential life of the rural elderly in housing cooperatives. Utilizing in-depth focus group interviews with 40 residents in four housing cooperatives, this qualitative research draws main factors affecting the decision to move in, residential assessment, and strengths and weakness of living in a housing cooperative. The primary factor influencing the moving decision is to continue to independent living in a familiar community, and the bottom line is planning ahead. Frailty and bereavement are found to be the leading occasions for them to move. The participants are satisfied with the independent living arrangement, and particularly, cited such features as safety and security, elderly-friendly design, common spaces, freedom, social activities and efficient living. Also, it is stated that some cooperative natures such as control over the property and giving a voice on management render positive impacts on the satisfaction with communal living. In spite of all the benefits and strengths, participants face with a public notion that an independent living arrangement like a housing cooperative has never done before in rural towns, so that most people recognize it as part of dependent living arrangements like nursing home.

인장법에 의한 박판 판계 용접부의 잔류 응력 거동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behavior Characteristics of Residual Stress of the Thin Butt Weldment by Mechanical Tensioning Method)

  • For thin panel welded structure, the various welding distortions were found due to the low resistance against welding deformation. Especially, buckling distortion induced in the thin panel welded structure produce severe problems related to cost in production stage and safety in service life. So, many researches including mechanical and thermal tensioning method for preventing the occurrence of buckling distortion in the production stage have been performed. The purpose of this study is to identify the behavior of longitudinal residual stress at the SA butt weldment with thin plate of 6mm thickness under tension load by 3 dimensional FEA. For it, mesh design for 3D FEA was constructed with 20 nodes brick element for butt weldment and 8 nodes shell element for base metal. According to FEA results, the longitudinal compressive strain inducing tensile residual stress at the butt weldment decreased. It was because the compressive thermal strain in way of weldment was reduced by tension load. The control effect of residual stress increased with an increase in tension load. So, if the amount of tension load applied to the weldment exceeds 1.5 times of longitudinal shrinkage force, the amount of longitudinal residual stress decreased below the critical value inducing the buckling distortion at the SA butt weldment. Its validity was verified by experiment.
