  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effects of job satisfaction regarding the franchisee's continuous operation intention. In addition, it intends to investigate the mediating effect of work engagement in the relationship between job satisfaction and sustainable performance of the franchisee. Research design, data and methodology: 361 survey data were collected and analyzed using SPSS 24 and AMOS 24. To assess the model for goodness of fit, indexes such as TLI, CFI, RMSEA were used. Moreover, SEM method and bootstrapping were used for hypotheses testing. Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between job satisfaction and the employee's continuous operation intention was significant. Second, it confirms that indeed job satisfaction positively affects work engagement. Third, it was found that work engagement had positive (+) effects on the franchisees' financial performance along with its continuous operation intention. Fourth, work engagement was found to mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and continuous operation intention of the franchisee. Conclusion: We found that job satisfaction of the franchisee is related with continuous operation intention through work engagement and financial performance. Hence, by demonstrating the empirical evidence which has been insufficient so far, this study contributes to the theory accumulation regarding the franchisee's continuous operation intention.

  • We introduce the concepts of fuzzy s-continuous mappings, s-open mappings, and s-closed mappings. We investigate several properties of such mappings. In particular, we study the relation between fuzzy s-continuous mappings and fuzzy s-open mappings(s-closed mappings).

  • In this paper we prove Ekeland's variational principle in the setting of locally complete spaces for lower semi continuous functions from above and bounded below. We use this theorem to prove Caristi's fixed point theorem in the same setting and also for lower semi continuous functions.

  • Objectives This experimental study was performed to investigate the continuous anti-bacterial potency of Coptidis rhizoma extract on cultivation of Staphylococcus species(S. aureus, S. epidermidis) that induce eye disease. Methods Minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) was measured by dropping to $50{\mu}l$ diluted Coptidis rhizoma extract(100%, 10%, 1%, 0.1%) on S. aureus, S. epidermidis that were cultivated from 2 to 6 days. Anti-bacterial potency was measured by the size of inhibition zone with change of volume($20{\mu}l,\;30{\mu}l,\;40{\mu}l,\;50{\mu}l$). Results 1. Anti-bacterial potency of Coptidis rhizoma extract on S. aureus was appeared in 100%, 10% and was the same as anti-bacterial potency of 2 days and 6 days. Anti-bacterial potency with change of volume(100%) was increased in propotion to increase volume on all samples. Anti-bacterial potency with change of volume(10%) was increased in propotion to increase volume on all samples except $20{\mu}l$. Anti-bacterial potency of Coptidis rhizoma extract on S. aureus was appeared continuous. 2. Anti-bacterial potency of Coptidis rhizoma extract on S. epidermidis was appeared in 100%, 10% and was the same as anti-bacterial potency of 2 days and 6 days. Anti-bacterial potency with change of volume(100%) was increased in propotion to increase volume on all samples. Anti-bacterial potency with change of volume(10%) was appeared in $50{\mu}l$. Anti-bacterial potency of Coptidis rhizoma extract on S. epidermidis was appeared continuous. Conclusions Anti-bacterial potency of Coptidis rhizoma extract on cultivation of S. aureus & S. epidermidis was showed continuous.

  • Modern users are intensifying their use of online services every day. In addition, hackers are attempting to execute advanced attacks to steal personal information protected using existing authentication technologies. However, existing authentication methods require an explicit authentication procedure for the user, and do not conduct identity verification in the middle of the authentication session. In this paper, we introduce an implicit continuous authentication technology to overcome the limitations of existing authentication technology. Implicit continuous authentication is a technique for continuously authenticating users without explicit intervention by utilizing their behavioral and environmental information. This can improve the level of security by verifying the user's identity during the authentication session without the burden of an explicit authentication procedure. In addition, we briefly introduce the definition, key features, applicable algorithms, and recent research trends for various authentication technologies that can be used as an implicit continuous authentication technology.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of continuous low-dose temozolomide (TMZ) chemotherapy for recurrent and TMZ-refractory glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and to study the relationship between its efficacy and microvessel density within the tumor. Methods : Thirty patients who had recurrent GBM following Stupp's regimen received TMZ daily at $50mg/m^2/day$ until tumor progression between 2007 and 2013. The median duration of continuous low-dose TMZ administration was 8 weeks (range, 2-64). Results : The median progression-free survival (PFS) of continuous low-dose TMZ therapy was 2 months (range, 0.5-16). At 6 months, PFS was 20%. The median overall survival (OS) from the start of this therapy to death was 6 months (95% CI : 5.1-6.9). Microvessel density of recurrent tumor tissues obtained by reoperation of 17 patients was $22.7{\pm}24.1/mm^2$ (mean${\pm}$standard deviation), and this was lower than that of the initial tumor ($61.4{\pm}32.7/mm^2$) (p-value=0.001). It suggests that standard TMZ-chemoradiotherapy reduces the microvessel density within GBM and that recurrences develop in tumor cells with low metabolic burden. The efficacy of continuous low-dose TMZ could not be expected in recurrent GBM cells in poor angiogenic environments. Conclusion : The efficacy of continuous low-dose TMZ chemotherapy is marginal. This study suggests the need to develop further treatment strategies for recurrent and TMZ-refractory GBM.
