  • Data mining is the method to find useful information for large amounts of data in database. It is used to find hidden knowledge by massive data, unexpectedly pattern, relation to new rule. The methods of data mining are association rules, decision tree, clustering, neural network and so on. Association rule mining searches for interesting relationships among items in a riven large data set. Association rules are frequently used by retail stores to assist in marketing, advertising, floor placement, and inventory control. There are three primary quality measures for association rule, support and confidence and lift. We analyze Gyeongnam social indicator survey data using association rule technique for environmental information discovery. We can use to environmental preservation and environmental improvement by association rule outputs.

  • The purpose of hisstudy was to explore effects of adolescents age sex and parental types on the types guilty and correlations between the Rule violation types and guilty types. A All of 698 middle school students and high school students in Pusan were administered Questionaires. The major findings of this study were as follows: Younger adolescents reported more guilty feelings than older adolescents in all types of guilty. Female adolescents reported more in selfish type guilty than males. Parental induction induced adolescents reported lower rates of violation in all types of rule violation than older adolescents. Male adolescents reported more violation in public related rule violation and property damage rule violation than females. There were negative relation between all guilty types and all Rule violation, These results were discussed and its implication and following study were suggested.

  • Phase I clinical trials determine the maximum tolerated dose(MTD) of a new drug. In this paper, we proposed a two-stage MTD estimation method by a Stopping rule in a phase I clinical trial. The suggested MTD estimation method is compared to the standard design(SM3) and the continual reassessment method(CRM) using a Monte Carlo simulation study.

  • Knowledge discovery in databases(KDD) is the process for extracting valid, novel, potentially useful and understandable knowledge form real data. There are many academic and industrial activities with new technologies and application areas. Particularly, data mining is the core step in the KDD process, consisting of many algorithms to perform clustering, pattern recognition and rule induction functions. The main goal of these algorithms is prediction and description. Prediction means the assessment of unknown variables. Description is concerned with providing understandable results in a compatible format to human users. We introduce an efficient data mining algorithm considering predictive and descriptive capability. Reasonable pattern is derived from real world data by a revised neural network model and a proposed fuzzy rule extraction technique is applied to obtain understandable knowledge. The proposed neural network model is a hierarchical self-organizing system. The rule base is compatible to decision makers perception because the generated fuzzy rule set reflects the human information process. Results from real world application are analyzed to evaluate the system\`s performance.

  • In order to minimize fixing error of workpieces, prismatic and cylindrical types. Modification Rule by Indexing Table and Modification Rule by NC Program are developed for machining centers by using touch trigger probes. The Modification Rule by Indexing Table means the alignment of workpiece to NC program through degree of freedoms of indexing table. The Modification Rule by NC Program is the alignment of NC program to workpiece set-up condition via the generation of NC program. A postprocessing module is also developed for generating NC-part Program (User Macro) to compensate for Machining errors in end milling and boring processes. Developed methods are verified by experiments.

  • In this paper, we look at the relationship between international trade and the rule of law, using the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index, which include index figures on human rights, limits on government powers, transparency and regulatory efficiency. Based on regression analyses using the rule of law index figures and international trade figures (merchandise trade, service trade, exports and imports as percentage of GDP,) international trade and basic human rights seem to have little relationship; but trade has a close positive relationship with strong order and security. Somewhat surprisingly, regulatory transparency and effective implementation seems to have little or no effect on international trade and vice versa. International trade shows a clear positive relationship with the country's criminal justice system, but the relationship with the civil justice system is not as clear as such. For regulatory implementation and civil justice, services trade positively affect these institutions, but these institutions in turn affect exports more strongly than services trade. Finally, the effect of trade on rule of law is stronger on a medium to long term (10-20 year) time horizon.

  • We showed in [2] that if $r\leq2$, then the average error between simple Trapezoidal rule and the composite Trapezoidal rule on two consecutive subintervals is proportional to $h^{2r+3}$ using zero mean Gaussian distribution under the assumption that we have subintervals (for simplicity equal length) partitioning and that each subinterval has the length. In this paper, if $r\geq3$, we show that zero mean Gaussian distribution of average error between simple Trapezoidal rule and the composite Trapezoidal rule on two consecutive subintervals is bounded by $Ch^8$.

  • This study investigated the effects of autonomous rule-making and rule-keeping activities on young children's interpersonal cognitive problem solving. The 20 five-year-old children in the experimental group participated in 6-step activities for autonomous rule-making and rule-keeping. The interpersonal cognitive problem solving Test was used to measure children's interpersonal cognitive problem solving thinking. The results of the ANCOVA revealed a significant difference between experimental and control groups in children's interpersonal cognitive problem solving thinking but not in alternative solution thinking.

  • This paper proposed An auto fuzzy rule-base extraction method using genetic algorithm. The suggested method is an auto fuzzy rule-base extration method neither expert advise fuzzy rule-base nor trial and error fuzzy rule-base. In order to confirm the validity of proposed method, we have applicated dc motor control and confirmed effective.
