In this paper, we consider the simple redundant structures with the function of hardware based active/standby control. The system includes two switch modules. The switch module is connected to a data bus, but only the active switch module has control of the data bus. The standby unit takes over the function of the active unit when the active unit failure or mode command are asserted. And this paper illustrate the high-speed router system and the overall redundant system architecture. The proposed redundant architecture for 80G Router system is verified and implemented with experiment.

In this paper, we present a gridless router for MCMs. Instead of the commonly employed grid a set of comer stitched tiles are used as a routing framework. The router routes variablewidth pins with wires of any width. It also a allows arbitrary location of terminals, wires, and vias. It performs faster than most grid-based MCM routers and produces the routing results which are comparable to their achievements.

액티브 네트워크 기술은 스위치나 라우터들이 패킷의 단순한 경로 배정이나 전달만이 아닌 사용자에 의해 장착된 프로그램이나 프로그램 코드를 담은 액티브 패킷에 의해 데이터를 처리할 수 있도록 한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 네트워크 환경의 중앙 집중적인 관리 시스템의 문제점을 해결하고 좀 더 효율적인 네트워크 관리를 위해 차세대 인터넷 기술인 액티브 네트워크 기술을 적용한 네트워크 관리 시스템을 설계하였다. 특히, 네트워크 관리 환경내의 라우터들에게 관리 정보들을 패턴화 하여 처리하게 하여 트래픽을 줄이고. 자신이 속한 LAN 환경내의 관리 대상들을 분산화 처리할 수 있는 The Smart Router 모델을 제안하였다.

An audit tracer is one of the last ways to defend an attack for network equipments. Firewall and IDS which block off an attack in advance are active way and audit tracing is passive way which analogizes a type and a situation of an attack from log after an attack. This paper explains importance of audit trace function in network equipment for security and defines events which we must leave by security audit log. We design and implement security audit system for secure router. This paper explains the reason why we separate general audit log and security audit log.

TTA(한국정보통신기술협회)는 2002년 10월 8일 (주)이스텔시스템즈(www.eastelsystems.com)의 ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) Router (모델명 : EAR-155)에 대하여 성능 및 aging 시험을 수행하여 국내 최초 TTA Verified 인증서(번호: TTA-V-02-001)를 발급하였다. 본 고에서는 두 대의 EAR-155 ATM Routers를 이용하여 각 라우터의 확장 slot에 Fast Ethernet port, ATM OC3(155 Mbps) port, ATM DS3(44.736 Mbps) port, ATM E1(2.048 Mbps) port 및 TDM E1(2.048 Mbps) port를 장착하여 back-to-back으로 연결한 환경에 대한 no-loss UDP throughput 시험결과를 소개한다.

This paper considers a packet-scheduling algorithm for a given combined traffic of unicast and multicast data packets and proposes a hybrid router with several dedicated buses for multicast traffic. Our objective is to develop a scheduling algorithm that minimizes schedule length for the given traffic in the hybrid router. We derive a lower bound and develop an optimal solution algorithm for the hybrid router.

정보기술의 급속한 발달로 멀티미디어 및 인터넷 환경이 하산되어 사용자의 네트워크 대역폭 또한 증가하였다. 이런 환경에서 VPN은 공중망을 이용하여 사설망을 꾸미는 기술로 통신비용 및 관리비용을 줄이는 것을 목적으로 현재 사용되는 기술이다. VPN은 접속방법, 이용회선, 서비스 제공방식, 응용방식, 구현방법 등에 따라 여러 형태로 분류된다. 본 논문에서는 서비스 제공방식의 분류에서 네트워크기반의 VPN중 현재 제안되고 있는 두 방식인 Virtual Router구성 방식과 BGP/MPLS구성 방식을 비교분석 한다.

In order to prevent a router machine feed drive system from transient operational vibration, this paper presents vibration analysis of a rack and pinion typed feed drive system for a router machine. The feed drive system was mathematically idealized as a 5-degree-of-freedom lumped parameter model. Stiffness parameters of motor-shaft, rack and pinion gears, and machine structure were appropriately considered in the modeling. Computational experiment was carried out to obtain vibrations of the feed drive system during its transient speed operation.

In this paper, a multi-step optimization using a G.A. (Genetic Algorithm) with variable penalty function is introduced to the structural design optimization of a 5-head route machine. Our design procedure consist of two design optimization stage. The first stage of the design optimization is static design optimization. The following stage is dynamic design optimization stage. In the static optimization stage, the static compliance and weight of the structure are minimized simultaneously under some dimensional constraints and deflection limits. On the other hand, the dynamic compliance and the weight of the machine structure are minimized simultaneously in the dynamic design optimization stage. As the results, dynamic compliance of the 5-head router machine was decreased by about 37％ and the weight of the structure was decreased by 4.48％ respectively compared with the simplified structure model.
