In 2019, at 147 local governments, a total of 872 operations produced aggregates with 414 operations by permission, 458 operations by declaration except the marine operations. The leading aggregate sources were, in descending order of the number of operations, crushed, forest, land, washing, river aggregate. By aggregate type, gravel-only operations were slightly more than sand-only ones. By province, Gyeongsangbuk-do had 149 operations, followed by Gyeonggi-do with 135, Gangwon-do with 113, and Gyeongsangnam-do with 92, Chungcheongbuk-do with 81, and Jeollabuk-do with 70. A review of production by size of operation indicated that about 23,100 thousand m3 (17.6% of the total aggregate) was produced by 17 operations reporting production of more than 1 million m3, about 29,900 thousand m3 was produced by 44 operations reporting production between 500 and <1,000 thousand m3, about 60,000 thousand m3 was produced by 273 operations reporting production between 100 and <200 thousand m3, about 17,000 thousand m3 was produced by 409 operations reporting production between 10 and <100 thousand m3. 129 operations that producted less than 10 thousand m3 accounted for 0.4% of total aggregate produced in Korea in 2019. Operations that produce more than 1 million m3 of aggregate was only from forest and crushed aggregate. The period of permission for aggregate producing based on permission is mostly less than 10 years, and in particular, for river and land aggregates, the permission period is very short, less than 2 years.

Most of the roads are paved with impermeable materials such as asphalt concrete and cement concrete, and in the event of heavy rainfall, rainwater directly flows into river through a drainage hole on the pavement surface. This large quantity of rainwater directly spilled into the river frequently leads to the flooding of urban streams, damaging lowlands and the lower reaches of a river. In recent years there has been a great deal of ongoing research concerning water permeability and drainage in pavements. Accordingly, in this research, a porous polymer concrete was developed for permeable pavement by using unsaturated polyester resin as a binder, recycled aggregate as coarse aggregate, fly ash and blast furnace slag as filler, and its physical and mechanical properties were investigated. Also, 3 types of permeable polymer block by optimum mix design were developed and rainfall runoff reduction effects by permeability pavement using permeable polymer block were analyzed based on hydraulic experimental model. The infiltration volume, infiltration ratio, runoff initial time and runoff volume in permeability pavement with permeable polymer block of $300{\times}300{\times}80$ mm were evaluated for 50, 100 and 200mm/hr rainfall intensity.
Product background of cement, sand and coarse aggregate differ from country to country, so that thermal behaviour of concrete make a difference in high temperature. To cope with demand, this paper is a study on compressive strength for W/C 45%, 55% and 65% by using domestic portland cement, Han-river sand, sea sand and crushed-coarse aggregate. As a result, it is shown that it is estimating to the mechanical properties of heated concrete specimens under various W/C ratio.

Recently, interest grew recently on the quality of aggregates following the diminution of primary resources from river and the growing construction demand which exhausted high-quality sand sources around large cities and incited the use of low grade aggregates like shore sand and sea sand that can be supplied in natural state. Especially, the environmental preservation concern and the augmentation of public grievance about the exploitation of sea sand as substitute to river sand are gradually impeding the supply. This situation aggravated by the recent interdiction to extract sea sand which resulted in sand crisis that even led once to the suspension of construction works. The lack of sea sand and river sand increased the exploitation of crushed sand which occupies now nearly 20% of the whole quantity of fine aggregates. And, the use of crushed sand may be expected to grow continuously in the future. This paper described that the properties of crushed sand and the concrete using the crushed sand, the technologies to improve quality of crushed sand and the concrete in order to provide information for the production of high-quality concrete using crushed sand.

The use of the recycled fine aggregate to the material of structural concrete is not easy currently because there are some problems, such as the difficulty of quality control and the badness of chemical and physical property other than river sand, crushed fine aggregate. To use of recycled fine aggregate, many researches on the recycling of recycled fine aggregate have been studying until today. However, the result of the research is little except for some results. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to confirm the possibility of use of recycled fine aggregate for raw material of plaster mortar. In this study, various tests were performed such as flow, air content, unit weight, bond strength, and compressive strength test to evaluate the effect according to the substitution of recycled concrete aggregate. The results of strength test showed that the concrete strength improved with the increase of replacement ratio of recycled fine aggregate. In the other side, flow and air content are decreased according to replacement ratio of recycled fine aggregate. The result of this study could be used as the basic data for the recycling of recycled fine aggregate.
In natural river, river-bed change is greatly influenced by the various factors such as river improvement, change of watershed land use, construction of dam and reservoir, gravel mining, and so on. The knowledge about river-bed change in the river is essential in the river modification, wetlands plan, and maintaining stable alluvial rivers. In this study, river-bed change in the future was predicted by investigating river channel characteristics which play dominant role in the formation of channel and based on the numerical model through river survey and the grain size analysis. The Proposed investigation and model was applied to the Geum river and the Miho stream which have been experienced river degradation due to river aggregate dredging and now seams to be stable. The result of potential river-bed change which was estimated by investigating channel characteristic including slope of channel, friction velocity, and so on is similar to that which was estimated based on the numerical model. It was found that the Geum river and the Miho stream will be stable. In the future, if considering the characteristics of river channel which is estimated by the river-bed scour, sediment, and so on, it is possible that river improvement and wetland restoration plan are established stably and naturally.

The pavement is generally used on the highways, local loads, roads for bicycle riding and neighborhood living facility such as parking lot, plaza, park and sports facilities. However, the pavement material that is usually used on the most of roads is impermeable asphalt-concrete and cement-concrete. If the pavement material is impermeable, many problems can be happened on the drainage facilities in the rainy season. Additionally, a lot of rainwater on the pavement surface cannot permeate to the underground and flows to the sewage ditch, stream and river, etc. If a lot of rainwater flows at once, the floods can be out along the streams and rivers. So, underground water can be exhausted. Micro organisms cannot live in the underground. Recently, many studies has been conducted to exploit the permeable concrete that has high performance permeability. However, it is required to develop the permeable concrete which has high strength and durability. In this study, permeable and strength tests were performed to investigate the permeable characteristics of porous concrete according to fine aggregate content and substitution ratio of blast furnace slag. In this test, crushed stones with 10~20 mm and sand with 5~10 mm were used as a coarse aggregate and a fine aggregate respectively. The substitution ratio of blast furnace slag to cement weight is 0 %, 15 %, and 30 %. The ratio of fine aggregate to total aggregate is 0 %, 18 %, and 35 %. As a result, permeability coefficient was decreased according to fine aggregate ratio of total aggregate. Compressive strength was also decreased according to substitution ratio of blast furnace slag.

Recently, the recycling and reusing of construction and demolition waste concrete is urgently required because generation quantity of construction and demolition waste concrete is greatly increased according to the rapid increasing of urban redevelopment project. On the other hand, the problem solution for demand and supply unbalance of fine aggregate is urgently required because of the restriction of collecting sea fine aggregate by intensification of environment influence evaluation and the shortage of river fine aggregate. but a quality of aggregate as building structure is not demonstrated. Therefore it is the objective of this study to estimate plastic and early dry shrink crack of fiber reinforced concrete using a recycled aggregate by plat-ring test and mock-up test of exposure to the air. as a result, in case of plat- ring test, developing crack is wider using recycled aggregate concrete than natural aggregate concrete, is wider using fiber reinforced concrete than non fiber. in case of mock-up test of exposure to the air, it is similar to plat-ring test.

The objective of this study is to find out the effect of Horizontal vibration on the compressive strength for 7 days and 28 days cured concrete specimens according to the kind of fine aggregates and the variation of vibration velocities, and times began to vibrate. Three kinds of fine aggregate(river sand, sea sand, crush sand), three types of vibration velocities(0.25, 0.5 0.1kine(cm/sec)), and four steps of times(0, 3, 6, 9 hours after concrete casting) were chosen as the experimental parameters in this study, the vibrations are applied for 30 minutes in each case. From this study, the variation with type of fine aggregate doesn't show tendency and the compressive strength decreases with increasing vibration velocity. When the vibration force time is more than 6 hour, It shows that compressive strength decreases under the condition of vibration velocity which the value is 0.5 kine and 1 kine, respectively.
