  • Many countries tried to design the collision risk management system to protect their own satellites from collision probability due to the space debris. In this situation, KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) is developing the KARISMA(KARI Conjunction Risk Management System) to protect our operating satellites from these space debris. The quality of this system is depending on the accuracy of orbit determination for the space debris which has collision risk. Therefore, this system must treat many kinds of measurement data types to estimate the orbit of space debris. In this paper, to handle the radar observation data widely used for these space debris, the orbit determination system was applied with simulated radar tracking data for the KOMSAT-2 which has precise orbit determination data.

  • An analysis of the annual frequency of collapse(AF) is performed for each bridge pier exposed to ship collision. From this analysis, the impact lateral resistance can be determined for each pier. The bridge pier impact resistance is selected using a probability-based analysis procedure in which the predicted annual frequency of bridge collapse, AF, from the ship collision risk assessment is compared to an acceptance criterion. The analysis procedure is an iterative process in which a trial impact resistance is selected for a bridge component and a computed AF is compared to the acceptance criterion, and revisions to the analysis variables are made as necessary to achieve compliance. The distribution of the AF acceptance criterion among the exposed piers is generally based on the designer's judgment. In this study, the acceptance criterion is allocated to each pier using allocation weights based on the previous predictions.

  • During the last 10 years, the various type of high speed craft have been greatly developed, and since around of 1990 the large size of high speed passenger and/or cargo vessels are also introduced and took into the service in the various routes over the world. In a marine traffic way some bridge need to build across a rivers, cannals or a waterways. This one will be an obstruction and potential risk of collision in the way of high speed craft. Accordingly some of collision accident have been reported, which were caused by a lost control, wind and hydrodynamic forces, fog or human errors. In this paper a high speed craft having 40 m length is assumed to be collided with a circular type of bridge piers at right angle. The mode of deformation, penetration depth of collapse, impact forces, reduction of speed, loss of kinetic energy, and influence of scantlings, etc. have been calculated in each speed with a time variation to find a maximum values within a limit, and are graphically presented.

  • It can be said that the relationship between the maneuvering ability of operators and the navigational environment affects the safe degree of navigation in the collision avoidance situation. In order to reduce the occurrence probability of accident and to maintain the safety, it is necessary to clarify the relationship between human behavior and navigational environment. In this study, therefore, we analyzed and discussed the relationship between the maneuvering characteristics and the safety focused on human behavior as a fundamental factor of marine accidents using ship handling simulator and questionnaire. As a result, we concluded that navigational environment changes variously and the maneuvering ability of operators also varies with the navigational environment, and the ship handling characteristics strongly affect the occurrence probability of accident.

  • Emergent Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS's) are beginning to assist drivers by performing specific tasks and extending the limits of driver's perception. As CAS's evolve from simple systems handling discrete tasks to complex systems managing interrelated driving tasks, the risk of failure from hidden causes greatly increases. The successful implementation of such a complex system depends upon a robust software architecture. Host of the difficulty in implementing system arises from interconnections between the components. The CAS architecture presented in this paper focuses on these interconnections to mitigate this problem. Moreover, by constructing the GAS architecture through the composition of existing architectural styles, the resulting system will exhibit predictable qualities. Some of the qualities represent limitations that translate into constraints on the system. Others are beneficial aspects that satisfy stakeholder requirements .

  • The purpose of this study is for Human error prevention to acquire Collision Risk Perception Index (CRPI) sensed by the Officer Of the Watch (OOW) when the approaching distances are reduced in six types of ship encountering situations (Head on, $045^{\circ}$, $090^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$, Overtaking, Overtaken) between own ship and a target ship and then to predict CRPI fitting coefficients with polynomials in the curve-fitting process. CRPI acquisition experiments are carried out on two coast-guard ships and with the total of 30 crew members. Analysing results shows that CRPI data have goodness of fit to the six types of encountering situation. Futhermore, the One-Way ANOVA results show that CRPI has a negative affect to the OOW's age, career and license grade as the approaching distances is reduced. The availability of CRPI curve fitting with 3 degrees of polynomial was testified through the RMSE as 1.19 to Head on, 0.87 to $045^{\circ}$, 0.81 to $090^{\circ}$, 0.71 to $135^{\circ}$, 1.29 to Overtaking and 0.87 to Overtaken.

  • An analysis of the AF is performed for each bridge pier exposed to ship collision. From this analysis, the impact lateral resistance can be determined for each pier. The bridge pier impact resistance is selected using a probability-based analysis procedure in which the predicted AF, from the ship collision risk assessment is compared to an acceptance criterion. In this study, the acceptance criterion is allocated to each pier using allocation weights based on the previous predictions. To determine the design impact lateral resistance of bridge components such pylon and pier, the numerical analysis is performed iteratively with the analysis variable of impact resistance ratio of pylon to pier. The design impact lateral resistance can vary greatly among the components of the same bridge, depending upon the waterway geometry, available water depth, bridge geometry, and vessel traffic characteristics.

  • The company culture is becoming usual term in business management field. That organization culture of these phenomenon becomes resource of company competitive power indeed, it is basing to logic for important leading person for elevation with systemicity. also, great many scholars do research to subject that is change management of company administration and there are not much example that companies succeed in change actually despite had announced treatise etc. This research tries to synthesize several research subjects by single model regarding confrontation(culture collision) phenomenon between culture that can happen in company through literature research and example analysis basically. Specially, try to classify and divide this by specific developing and arrange in each type with using much this culture analysis in negotiation analytics. Through this problem and suggestion point by this confrontation way in this culture negotiation side and culture risk management side of administration make try to.

  • Ship is being operated under a highly dynamic environments and many factors are related with ship's collision and those factors are interacting. So, an analysis on the ship's collision causes is very important to prepare countermeasures which will ensure the safe navigation. And the analysis confirmed that ship's collision is occurred most frequently and the cause is closely related with human factor. The main purpose of this study is to build a model of human factors in ship's collision cause using SD(System Dynamics} approach and to measure a effect which is risk control countermeasures of ship's collision. To achieve this aim, the structure analysis on the causes of ship's collision using FSM are performed, and the structure was changed by quantitative, qualitative factors and their feedback loops in casual map. This model was performed over 20 years(1993-2012) in a standard simulation model and 8 policy simulation models.
