Accident Tolerant Fuels have been widely studied since the Fukushima-Daiichi accident in 2011 as one of the options on how to further enhance the safety of nuclear power plants. Deposition of protective coatings on nuclear fuel claddings has been considered as a near-term concept that will reduce the high-temperature oxidation rate and enhance accidental tolerance of the cladding while providing additional benefits during normal operation and transients. This study focuses on experimental testing of Zr-based alloys coated with Cr-based coatings using Physical Vapour Deposition. The results of long-term corrosion tests, as well as tests simulating postulated accidents, are presented. Zr-1%Nb alloy used as nuclear fuel cladding serves as a substrate and Cr, CrN, CrxNy layers are deposited by unbalanced magnetron sputtering and reactive magnetron sputtering. The deposition procedures are optimized in order to improve coating properties. Coated as well as reference uncoated samples were experimentally tested. The presented results include standard long-term corrosion tests at 360℃ in WWER water chemistry, burst (creep) tests and mainly single and double-sided high-temperature steam oxidation tests between 1000 and 1400℃ related to postulated Loss-of-coolant accident and Design extension conditions. Coated and reference samples were characterized pre- and post-testing using mechanical testing (microhardness, ring compression test), Thermal Evolved Gas Analysis analysis (hydrogen, oxygen concentration), optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (EDS, WDS, EBSD) and X-ray diffraction.
A strain of Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) was isolated newly from sweet pepper(Capsicum annuum var. angulosum) showing necrosis with large necrotic spots on fruits and vein banding with malformation on leaf at Cheongdo area in Gyeongsangbukdo. The new strain was designated as a CMV-NP and the shape of virus particles was isometric of 26 nm in diameter from the sweet pepper fruit by Dip method. The strain of CMV-NP was identified genetically by VC/RT-PCR. CMV-NP could infect systemically on the 9 indicator plants including Cucumis sativus, but it could infect locally on Chenopodim amaranticolor and C. quinoa. CMV-NP induced the specific symptoms of necrotic rings on the inoculated and the upper leaves of N. rustica and Tetragonia expansa. On Cucumis sativus, the large chlorotic ring and vein chlorosis were produced on the upper leaves. CMV-NP had no virulence on Datura stramonium.
The Compost-decomposing-bacteria was isolated from livestock compost containing sawdust. The isolated bacteria was identified as Bacillus subtilis LYH201 by the method of the composition of the fatty acid with MIDI system and Bergey's manual. Cloning of CMCase encoding gene was accompanied by shotgun method. The pLK100 have yellow activity ring on CMC medium, that was carried 2.2 kb insert DNA in pBluescript II $SK^+$ vector, named BglC gene. The BglC was very similar to Pectobacterium carotovorum Gun_CLOAB(P15704) with score of 57% identity and 71% homology over 508 aa. The BglC was measured molecular weight 56 kDa by CMC-SDS-PAGE. Optimum cellulase activity Bacillus subtilis LYH201 was temperature $50^{\circ}C$ and pH 7.

In this study, we proposed a new type of dual-buoy wave energy converter (WEC) exploiting multi-resonance and analyzed the experimental results from a model test in a 2-D wave flume. A dual-buoy WEC using multi-resonance has two advantages: high efficiency at the resonant frequencies and the potential to extend the frequency range available to extract wave power from the WEC. The suggested WEC was composed of an outer buoy and an inner buoy sliding vertically inside the outer buoy. As the power take-off device, a linear electric generator (LEG) consisting of permanent magnets and coils fixed at each buoy was adopted. Electricity was produced by the relative heave motion between the two buoys. To search for the optimal shape of a dual-buoy WEC, we conducted experiments on the heave motion of a two-body system in regular waves without an LEG installed. Model tests with six combinations of experimental models were conducted in order to find the motion characteristics of a dual-buoy WEC. It was found that model 2, which included a ring-shaped appendage to move the resonant frequency of the outer buoy toward a high value, showed a higher relative heave response amplitude operator (RAO) curve than model 1. In addition, the double-peak shape of the heave RAO curve shown for model 2 indicated the extension of the frequency range for extracting wave power in irregular waves.
'Convention' refers to custom and practice as the dictionary definition; it means genre custom. Readers feel intimate with the pattern and grammar that a genre has, and they participate in the work, predicting and expecting the next in the 'truism.' So, all popular arts targeting the public have genre custom-that is, convention. A cartoon (comics) is one of the popular arts whose convention is developed most to the extent that its law comes across our mind just with the genre's name such as 'sports comics', 'detective comics' and 'romance comics.' However, although the fantasy cartoon is a genre that has been loved for a long time, it is one of the cartoon genres that has rarely been studied on its convention. There are several reasons for the lack of studies on convention of the fantasy cartoon. The most fundamental reason may be that its basic concept has not been properly prescribed. There are some precedent studies prescribing the fantasy cartoon as an extension of the fantastic literature, but it is hard to analyze convention that only fantasy cartoon has, because its range is too wide. So, this study considered J.R.R. Tolkein's 'Lord of the Ring' had made the genre custom of fantasy novel and fantasy comics, and classified concept and type of the fantasy cartoon. And through analysis of various cases, it investigated convention of the fantasy cartoon into 6 types. Genre is not the complete format. It is subdivided and differentiated, and it becomes one with other genres and makes a new one. For that reason, there exist limitations always when we study a genre convention of a certain genre. This study confesses in advance that it also has limitations as it just suggests convention of the general fantasy cartoon.

In this paper, we predicts the analog and digital circuit performance of FinFETs that are scaled down following the ITRS(International technology roadmap for semiconductors). For accurate prediction of the circuit performance of scaled down devices, accurate parasitic resistance and capacitance analytical models are developed and their accuracies are within 2 % compared to 3D TCAD simulation results. The parasitic capacitance models are developed using conformal mapping, and the parasitic resistance models are enhanced to include the fin extension length($L_{ext}$) with respect to the default parasitic resistance model of BSIM-CMG. A new algorithm is developed to fit the DC characteristics of BSIM-CMG to the reference DC data. The proposed capacitance and resistance models are implemented inside BSIM-CMG to replace the default parasitic model, and SPICE simulations are performed to predict circuit performances such as $f_T$, $f_{MAX}$, ring oscillators and common source amplifier. Using the proposed parasitic capacitance and resistance model, the device and circuit performances are quantitatively predicted down to 5 nm FinFET transistors. As the FinFET technology scales, due to the improvement in both DC characteristics and the parasitic elements, the circuit performance will improve.
Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) and Broad bean wilt virus 2(BBWV2) were isolated from Gentiana scabra plants showing typical mosaic and yellowing symptoms. When the inoculum of mosaic symptom propagated in Nicotiana benthamiana was inoculated to primary leaves of Vigna sinensis, the local lesions of different types was developed. Type one produced a small necrotic spot(SNS) of pinpoint type, while the other one showed a large necrotic spot(LNS) of halo type. LNS on primary leaves of V. sinensis was also induced by inoculum from yellowing symptom on G scabra. Single lesion from SNS induced a typical mosaic symptom on N. Benthamiana. On the other hand, LNS produced a chlorotic ring symptom on inoculated leaves and mosaic plus necrotic ringspot on upper leaves of N. benthamiana. An isolate of CMV from SNS and BBWV2 from LNS were detected by using dsRNA analysis, RT-PCR and agar gel double-diffusion test. Thus, our results should provide a tool of a simple method for discrimination from mixed infected plants by CMV and BBWV2.
The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the development of new spot disease on the leaf and stem of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) in commercial greenhouses at Jeonju and Namwon in Korea. Incidence of target spot on rosemary was higher at the end of the rainy season with high humidity. Those symptoms were black ring spots (3-5 mm in diameter) and withering on green leaves and stems. Conidiophores and conidia were formed on the infected tissue in moist chamber and conidia were shown as the cylindrical and oval types in chain, ranged from 55 to $275{\mu}m$ in length, and 7 to $14{\mu}m$ in width. Conidia with eight to ten pseudosepta were formed on the conidiapore. The optimum growth temperature of isolates was $30^{\circ}C$ on the PDA medium under the dark condition. In the pathogenesis test, the target spot and withering symptoms were appeared on the leaves and stems 3 days after inoculation showing similar symptoms compared to those of in nature. The same fungus was re-isolated from infected lesion, indicating that Corynespora cassiicola caused leaf target spot and twig blight on rosemary. The rDNA ITS nucleotide sequences of the pure cultured isolate from the diseased area on rosemary showed 100% similarity to the sequences of C. cassiicola available in the GenBank database (JQ595296, JQ595297, FJ852715 and AY238606). Therefore, we report that the target spot of leaves and stems in rosemary was caused by C. cassiicola.
The performance of the multiprocessor systems is limited by the several factors. The system performance is affected by the processor speed, memory delay, and interconnection network bandwidth/latency. By the evolution of semiconductor technology, off the shelf microprocessor speed breaks beyond GHz, and the processors can be scalable up to multiprocessor system by connecting through the interconnection networks. In this situation, the system performances are bound by the latencies and the bandwidth of the interconnection networks. SCI, Myrinet, and Gigabit Ethernet are widely adopted as a high-speed interconnection network links for the high performance cluster systems. Performance improvement of the interconnection network can be achieved by the bandwidth extension and the latency minimization. Speed up of the operation clock speed is a simple way to accomplish the bandwidth and latency betterment, while its physical distance makes the difficulties to attain the high frequency clock. Hence the system performance and scalability suffered from the interconnection network limitation. Duplicating the link of the interconnection network is one of the solutions to resolve the bottleneck of the scalable systems. Dual-ring SCI link structure is an example of the interconnection network improvement. In this paper, I propose a network topology and a transaction path algorism, which optimize the latency and the efficiency under the duplicated links. By the simulation results, the proposed structure shows 1.05 to 1.11 times better latency, and exhibits 1.42 to 2.1 times faster execution compared to the dual ring systems.

The Gogunsan Archipelago is composed of two island groups; the first group includes Mal-do, Myeong-do, Gwangdae-do, and Bangchuk-do islands consisting of Neoproterozoic rocks, and the second group includes Yami-do, Sinsi-do, Muneo-do, Jangja-do, and Seonyu-do islands consisting of Cretaceous rocks. The first group mainly consists of the Bangchuk formation which can be divided into two layers; the lower layer was more deformed than the upper layer. The former was intruded by mafic and felsic volcanic rocks formed in the volcanic arc tectonic setting 930-890 Ma and the latter was deposited ca. 825-800 Ma. In these islands, large scale folds with east-west fold axes were beautifully formed; the Maldo island fold was designated as natural monument and large scale beautiful chevron fold was developed on the Gwangdae-do island. In addition, there are unique zebra-shaped outcrop formed by a mixing of basic and acidic magma and Independent Gate shaped outcrop formed by coastal erosion. On the other hand, the Yami-do, Sinsi-do, Muneo-do, Jangja-do and Seonyu-do islands consist of 92-91Ma Cretaceous volcanic rocks and, in Sinsi-do island, the Nanshan formation deposited ca. 92 Ma. These Cretaceous volcanic rocks formed by melting of the continental crust by the heat supplied from the uplifting mantle due to the extension caused by a retreat of subducting ocean slab. Yami-do and Sinsi-do islands are composed of rhyolite. In Yami-do island, bands with vertical joint formed by cooling of the bottom part of the lava, are shown. In Sinsi-do island, large-scale vertical joints formed by cooling of lava flow, were developed. The Jangja-bong of Jangja-do island and Mangju-bong of Seonyu-do island are composed of brecciated rhyolite and formed a ring shaped archipelago contributing to the development of marine culture by providing natural harbor condition. They also provide beautiful views including 'Seonyu 8 views' along with other islands. As mentioned above, the Gogunsan archipelago is rich in geoheritages and associated cultural and historical resources, making it worth as a National Geopark.
