This study investigated the effectiveness of article writing as a mean to teaching the traditional medical classics. We used questionnaire to evaluate the usefulness of the curriculum, reason for difficulty and measures for improvement. The creative and reasonable thinking was the major reason for difficulty, and this article writing program could be a proper methods to tackle this. We also found that the educational system was not satisfactory since other educative programs were not focusing on this issue. This study showed that this article writing program can be a useful teaching tool for achieving the purpose of traditional medical classics curriculum after several improvements such as more personalized guidance and understanding of anatomy of an article, lesser time burden and easier database access.

A nursing activity classification for hospitalized patients was performed based on an article review regarding nursing definition and nursing activity classification system. The study was conducted as follows: 1) Taxonomy was developed by the research team through the Delphi process and review article. The taxonomy consists of four nursing processes, (assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation) and twelve nursing activity domains space (resperation, nutrition, elimination, exercise/alignment maintenance, comfort, hygiene, safety, spiritual support, counseling/ education, medication, communication, patient and information management). 2) First, nursing activities of the intervention process were listed and then classified by the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. The list consists of twelve nursing activity domains and 136 nursing activities. 3) A pilot study was conducted in two hospitals to verify validity and appropriateness of nursing activities. 4) The content validity index, which was calculated by 6 clinical practice experts, was 0.95. Also, a nursing activity classification system should also be developed in the department of community nursing and home health care nursing.

Universities are considered important actors and drivers of socio-economic development in the regional innovation eco-system. This article investigates the role Kenyan universities and research institutes play in the development of regional innovation eco-system in the context of triple and Quadruple helices. A model involving Government, Industry, Universities and Society (Public) linkages in the regional innovation eco-system and with Information and Communication Technology as an enabler is used as a framework for analysing the nature of linkages in Kenya. The article uses literature review and case study methods to examine how universities and research institutes can spur the development of the innovation eco-systems. The research question is: what is the role of Kenyan universities and research institutes in spurring innovation ecosystems? Six cases of Kenyan universities and research institutes are considered in the light of Government Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) which is underpinned in Kenyan constitution 2010. The study contributes to the understanding of how deep collaboration among universities, government, research institutes, Science Cities, local, regional, national and international players spurs the creation of world-class innovation ecosystems which can contribute to regional development in developing countries like Kenya.

Impacted teeth are a frequent phenomenon encountered by every clinician. The artificial eruption of embedded teeth is the process of directing an impacted tooth into normal occlusion. This procedure is currently attracting attention, with the aim of finding the best technique to use according to each case. This article presents key information regarding impacted incisors, canines, and premolars. In addition, we describe the most common techniques to use for artificial eruption, the open and closed techniques. We review the literature concerning these techniques and outline how clinicians can manage every type of impacted tooth.

Fibromyalgia(FMS) is a heterogeneous construct of chronic and widespread musculoskeletal pain that is frequently associated with sleep difficulties, fatigue, and other adjunctive symptoms. This article aims to review the literature on the theory and treatment for fibromyalgia in the chinese language article. chinese language aricles In wanfang data between 2001 and 2004 were reviewed. this result of research demonstrate that Acupuncture, Negative Pressure Therapy(Buhang), the Electrical Acupuncture Stimulation Therapy. Acupoints TENS are applied to treatment for fibromyalgia and these therapic managements of chinese medicine are more effective than western drug treatment.

Time series are used in many studies for model building and analysis. We must be very careful to understand the kind of time series data used in the analysis. In this review article, we will begin with some issues related to the use of aggregate and systematic sampling time series. Since several time series are often used in a study of the relationship of variables, we will also consider vector time series modeling and analysis. Although the basic procedures of model building between univariate time series and vector time series are the same, there are some important phenomena which are unique to vector time series. Therefore, we will also discuss some issues related to vector time models. Understanding these issues is important when we use time series data in modeling and analysis, regardless of whether it is a univariate or multivariate time series.

The hand is an integral part of normal hand functioning. The ability of the hand to grasp and manipulate objects or tools is necessary for accom-plishing many tasks of daily living. Therefore it is important to improve hand function for patient with hand impairment. The objectives of this article are to review the developmental process of hand function and to described the types of grasp, grip, pinch, and prehension. Developmental process of hand function is based on general developmental theory as Vojta, Bobath and Ayres. There are many kinds of classification of prehension, grasp, and pinch. This review include the classification by Malick, Kiel, Melvin, Sollrman & Sperling, Pedretti & Zoltan, Tyldesley & Grieve' book, Norkin & Levangie' book. This article aimed to investigate problems relating to medical tourism based on a review of medical tourism reports and statistics in the global healthcare industry. To be a leading nation in the global healthcare industry, the needs and culture of many peoples, including Muslims, should be considered. Qualified medical services by JCI certification, including nutrition services, will provide opportunities to participate in the international and Asia medical tourism markets. In this article, the definitions of medical tourism, medical service, Halal and Haram, nutrition service for inbound Muslim patients, and Halal food supply in Korea were examined for medical service improvement. Mutual assistance between the government and private enterprise, sharing of medical service information, and construction of a cooperative network system are needed and should be supported by the government.

After the outbreak of the Korean War on June 25, 1950, the US included the Republic of China on Taiwan (Taiwan hereafter) in its Asia-Pacific containment line, and restored the military and economic aid to Taiwan for the sake of regional security. The US aid to the countries along the Asia-Pacific defense line was not only in the form of supplying munitions, but also linked these countries together in an economic dimension. Taiwan is one of the 120 countries which had accepted US aid and also successfully moved from "dependence" to "independently sustained growth." This article will firstly review the historical background of US aid to Taiwan and related institutional development; secondly, this article will illustrate how Taiwan used US aid, and which economic sector the US aid affected; thirdly, it will trace the impact of US aid on Taiwan's foreign trade, and finally, to make a conclusion.

This article explores the potentials of the application of organization theories to nursing research on health care organizations in Korea. The critical review of the literature reveals that the important topics on organizations in health services research have been also dealt with by nursing researchers. Notwithstanding this theoretical closeness between the two fields, some issues remain: the paucity of attention to 'level issue', which requires to increase the attempts at 'meso-' or 'macro-' analysis on nurses' behavior in organizations; the need for theoretical frameworks specifying organizational factors relating to nursing processes; the necessity of interdisciplinary approaches to bridge the recent developments of organizational study and nursing research. This article finishes with a few of research agendas for future research to fill these gaps.
