The most common forms of nonmelanocytic skin cancer (NMSC) are basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The growing incidence of skin cancer in the Republic of Korea has sparked increasing scientific interest in these types of tumors. In the case described herein, multiple NMSCs occurred asynchronously in various areas of the body in a single patient. A 67-year-old man presented with an ulcerative lesion on the right retro-auricle and multiple keratinized masses on the back and face. The right retro-auricular lesion was diagnosed as BCC, and the keratinized masses on the patient's back and face were diagnosed as SCC. He subsequently presented with numerous pigmented skin lesions on the forehead, temple, pre-auricle, neck, right forearm, right hand, and both thighs. One lesion on the neck was diagnosed as BCC, and five lesions on the right hand and forearm were diagnosed as SCC. The patient was also diagnosed with supraglottic SCC and external auditory canal SCC. An otolaryngologist performed radical excision of the primary SCC. Suspected skin cancer lesions observed on the face and both ears were diagnosed as SCC. Patients with multiple NMSCs are at an elevated risk for additional skin cancers, making periodic follow-up important; furthermore, all suspicious lesions should be biopsied.

A series of 13- and 14-membered cyclic enkephalin analogs based on the moderately $\mu$ selective prototype compound Tyr-C[D-$A_2bu$-Gly-Phe-Leu] 8a were synthesized to investigate the structure-activity relationship. The modifications of sequence were mainly focused on two positions 3 and 5, critical for the selective recognition for $\mu$ and $\delta$ opioid receptors. The substitution of hydrophobic $Leu^5$ with hydrophilic $Asp^5$ derivatives led to Tyr-C[D-$A_2bu$-Gly-Phe-Asp(N-Me)] 7 and Tyr-C[D-Glu-Phe-gPhe-rAsp(O-Me)] 5, the peptides with a large affinity losses at both $\mu$ and $\delta$ receptors. The substitution of $Phe^3$ with $Gly^3$ led to Tyr-C[D-Glu-Gly-gPhe-rLeu] 3 and Tyr-C[D-Glu-Gly-gPhe-D-rLeu] 4, the peptides with large affinity losses at $\mu$ receptors, indicating the critical role of phenyl ring of $Phe^3$ for $\mu$ receptor affinities. One atom reduction of the ring size from 14-membered analogs Tyr-C[D-Glu-Phe-gPhe-(L and D)-rLeu] 6a, 6b to 13-membered analogs Tyr-C[D-Asp-Phe-gPhe-(L and D)-rLeu] 1, 2 reduced the affinity at both $\mu$ and $\delta$ receptors, but increased the potency in the nociceptive assay, indicating the ring constrain is attributed to high nociceptive potency of the analogs. For the influence of D- or L-chirality of $Leu^5$ on the receptor selectivity, regardless of chirality and ring size, all cyclic diastereomers displayed marked $\mu$ selectivity with low potencies at the $\delta$ receptor. The retro-inverso analogs display similar or more active at $\mu$ receptor, but less active at $\delta$ receptor than the parent analogs.

Introduction: It is a challenge to design a protein score function which stabilizes the native structures of many proteins simultaneously. The coarse-grained description of proteins to construct the pairwise-contact score function usually ignores the backbone directionality of protein structures. We propose a new two-body score function which stabilizes all native states of 1,006 proteins simultaneously. This two-body score function differs from the usual pairwise-contact functions in that it considers two adjacent amino acids at two ends of each peptide bond with the backbone directionality from the N-terminal to the C-terminal. The score is a corresponding propensity for a directional alignment of two adjacent amino acids with their local environments. Results and Discussion: We show that the construction of a directional adjacency-score function was achieved using 1,006 training proteins with the sequence homology less than 30%, which include all representatives of different protein classes. After parameterizing the local environments of amino acids into 9 categories depending on three secondary structures and three kinds of hydrophobicity of amino acids, the 32,400 adjacency-scores of amino acids could be determined by the perceptron learning and the protein threading. These could stabilize simultaneously all native folds of 1,006 training proteins. When these parameters are tested on the new distinct 382 proteins with the sequence homology less than 90%, 371 (97.1%) proteins could recognize their native folds. We also showed using these parameters that the retro sequence of the SH3 domain, the B domain of Staphylococcal protein A, and the B1 domain of Streptococcal protein G could not be stabilized to fold, which agrees with the experimental evidence.

The purpose of this study is, to renew understanding the aesthetic value of a ruff collar and to expand the border of creation in designing as the source of inspiration being applied to an retro style by inquiring various ruff collars re-illuminated in the present-day fashion trend. The ruff collar investigated through the above historical contemplation became the source of inspirations in the current retro trend and was variously modified in modern fashion. In the 1980s, we can find a dignified and feminine image in graceful and exquisite suits or dresses. Especially, the spanish round ruff of the 2st period appeared on works by a lot of designers. From the application by designers like John Galliano in the latter half of the 80s, we can be well aware that the meaning of decoration was newly altered. In the 1990s, the ruff collar was shown in various fashion style, but it was what was reborn as a factor of modern fashion through a liberal compromise and harmony. Various style was shown from exaggeratedly swelling one to smaller one, which were more diversely applied than that of the 80s. A Medici collar and a Queen Elizabeth collar were also displayed being fitted to a modern sense by Vivienne Westwood and Louis F raud. A ruff in the 2000s was settled as a factor of modern fashion, exposing on works of designers more often than in the 1980s and 90s. The spanish round ruff appeared on garments, while a Medici collar and a Queen Elizabeth collar went out of sight. A new form of the ruff was regenerated by extreme magnification and simplification, and several designers like Issey Miyake and Alexander Mcqueen brought forward a new way in materials and technical skills. According to this research, a ruff collar developed as a fashion factor which characterizes a certain period of time, reflecting the aesthetical sense of Renaissance and turning into various and distinct forms. Afterwards, it exerted influence on modern fashion. This is offering the source of inspiration to contemporary designers.

The purpose of this research is to suggest diverse directions for eco-friendly knit designing through analyzing the characteristics of Stella McCartney's knit designs. The first stage of the research was to explore the characteristics of eco-friendly fashion design based on literature review. The next stage was to categorize the characteristics of eco-friendly design found in Stella McCartney' knit fashion based on the precedent analysis. The data collected showed 274 examples from 40 Stella McCartney collections, including Spring, Resort, Pre-Fall, and Fall Ready-to-wear collections between 2013 and 2022. All information was collected using www.vogue.com. As a result, the characteristics of Stella McCartney's knit design were classified into four directopms: 1) Perpetual Naturalism, 2) Cultural Complexity, 3) Practical Functionality, and 4) Subcultural Reproducibility. The first characteristic, 'Perpetual Naturalism' values the continuous symbiosis between animals and human beings, thereby protecting global environmental value. Stella McCartney's knit design continuously showed a longing for nature's beauty through fashion design, which allowed people to enjoy the meaning of symbiosis between human beings and animals. Second, 'Cultural Complexity' is the characteristic that appears in Stella McCartney's knit fashion design when collaborating with various artists and/or mixing traditional knit motives inspired by traditional cultures and retro moods. Third, 'Practical Functionality' is the design characterisitic that allows items to be worn for a long time as it is comfortable, simple, and practical. Stella McCartney's knit designs pursue easy-to-wear designs that are comfortable and have practical designs with simple details. Lastly, 'Subcultural Reproducibility' showed in Stella McCartney's knit designs reflect Hippie culture, which pursued a rejection of conventional values, and promoted sustainable energy. This culture peaked in the 1960s and 1970s, when 'Beatles' were mainly working. Additionally, retro styled knit designs inspired by other various music genres from the 1980s and 1990s appeared in this category as well.

본 연구에서는 하고초의 지표성분인 triterpenic acids 5종을 컬럼 크로마토그래피와 역상 HPLC를 이용하여 추출 및 분리했고, 이들 성분의 순도는 90% 이상임을 HPLC를 이용하여 확인했다. 고속원자충돌 이온화법-고분해능 질량분석기(FAB-HRMS)를 사용하여 지표성분의 분자량 및 원소조성을 결정했으며, 지표성분의 구조 분석은 FAB-MS/MS 의해 음이온 및 양이온 모드에서 수행하였다. Triterpenic acid류의 충돌유발분해(collision-induced dissociation, CID) 탄뎀질량분석(MS/MS) 스펙트럼에서 protonated molecule인 $[M+H]^+$ 및 deprotonated molecule인 $[M-H]^-$ 이온의 CID는 주로 retro Diels-Alder (RDA), 탈수 (dehydration) 및 탈탄산(decarboxylation) 반응에 의한 다양한 생성이온들이 나타났다. 특히, $[M-H]^-$이온의 CID-MS/MS 스펙트럼에서는 charge-remote fragmentation (CRF) 현상에 의한 이온들도 특성이온으로 나타났다. 이들 CID-MS/MS 스펙트럼의 해석을 통하여 하고초의 지표성분인 triterpenic acids의 구조 규명을 수행하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the newtro fashion style and extract key descriptive terms for visual image evaluation based on the style. To achieve this, a literature review, case study, and survey were conducted. The results are as follows: 1) Newtro fashion exhibited a variety of styles depending on the items being considered. In particular, the windbreaker style is composed of windbreakers, sweatshirts, and training pants, the blazer style consists of blazers, sweatshirts, and denim pants, and the padding style is characterized by short padding, sweatshirts, and jogger pants. 2) A total of 28 terms were identified as vocabulary to represent the visual images of newtro fashion. Among these, 17 terms appeared with a frequency of 30 or more times across the three styles. Commonly used terms included 'emotional', 'desirable', 'empathetic', 'unique', 'moody', 'retro', 'sophisticated', 'stylish', 'vintage', 'confident', 'youthful', 'trendy', and 'modern'. 3) By examining terms with a frequency of 50 times or more, the visual images associated with each style were compared. For the windbreaker style, the newtro fashion image was predominantly described as 'desirable', 'youthful', 'modern', 'stylish', and 'emotional'. The blazer style was associated with 'retro', 'unconventional', 'stylish', 'trendy', 'empathetic', 'modern', 'intricate', and 'unique'. In the padding style, the newtro fashion image was characterized as 'youthful', 'intricate', 'cute', 'stylish', 'modern', 'unique', and 'confident'.

Modern fashion shop is changed by the changing of fashion style. And as purch asing pattern is charged to consuming pattern which has strong individuality functions as space which reflect characteristics of products and consumers in order to present sensitive and in dividual image are also required besides conventional concept as space which simply focused on sale. Meanwhile in the 1980's the fashion presented retro mood modernly by popularization of post-modernism and introduced minimalism that is one of the anti-cultures in the 1960's. Recently minimalistic trends which are expressed by various attempts and a new point of view are introduced to the fashion shop by interior designer. Therefore in this study minimalistic characteristics which appear in the composition of interior space of the modern fashion shop are researched by theoretical consideration and analysis of examples and analysis of examples and consistent direction of fashion shop is presented.

A sensor system has been developed to measure the posture(position and orientation) of mobile robots working in industrial environments. The proposed sensor system consists of a CCD camera, retro-reflective landmarks, a strobe unit and an image processing board. The proposed hardware system can be built in economic price compared to commercial vision systems. The system has the capability of measuring the posture of mobile robots within 60 msec when a 386 personal computer is used as the host computer. The experimental results demonstrated a remarkable performance of the proposed sensor system in the posture measurement of mobile robots - the average error in position is less than 3 mm and the average error in orientation is less than 1.5.

To analyze the design of Christian Dior, 216 pieces of Dior's works were collected and studied from the COLLECTION(Seoul: Dong Ah TV) from 2003 to 2005. The result is as follows. In recent three year period, Christian Dior maintained the feminine image and implemented different additions such as sexy, ethnic, avant-garde and casual image in every season. Also, to reflect a new trend or fashion sense, images of ethnic, retro, hippie or vintage were applied. In using color, different main color(YR, R, Y, BG, RP, B) were chosen every season to pursue variations. For the pattern usage, feminine beauty was presented by numerous applications of flowered pattern. Also the practice of pattern and hue in different rations in every season pursued variations in design.
