국민기초생활보장수급자의 장기요양 서비스 이용 여부가 의료 이용에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Long-term Care Utilization on Health Care Utilization of the Medicaid Elderly)

  • 본 논문은 기초생활보장수급자를 대상으로 장기요양서비스 이용 여부가 의료 이용에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 연구이다. 연구 대상은 장기요양 1등급 판정을 받은 기초생활보장수급자 5,834명을 대상으로 하였다. 기초생활보장수급자의 의료 이용에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석으로 분석한 결과 2007-2009년 총 진료비 변화량을 설명하는 $R^2$은 22.6%이었으며, 장기요양 서비스 이용자에 비해 미이용자는 8,297,329원 증가하였다(${\beta}=.29$, p< .001). 입원일 변화량의 $R^2$은 22.4%이었으며, 서비스 이용자에 비해 미이용자는 119.013일 증가하였다(${\beta}=.33$, p< .001). 총 진료비와 입원일 변화량에 영향을 미치는 요인은 장기요양서비스 이용 여부, 수발자 여부, 2009년 일상생활수행능력, 간호처치, 재활기능이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 장기요양 서비스 미이용자의 의료 이용이 높게 나타남에 따라 미이용자에 대한 적정 의료와 요양서비스 이용을 지원할 수 있는 정책 마련이 필요로 된다.

Hydrolysates of lignocellulosic materials for biohydrogen production

  • Lignocellulosic materials are commonly used in bio-$H_2$ production for the sustainable energy resource development as they are abundant, cheap, renewable and highly biodegradable. In the process of the bio-$H_2$ production, the pretreated lignocellulosic materials are firstly converted to monosaccharides by enzymolysis and then to $H_2$ by fermentation. Since the structures of lignocellulosic materials are rather complex, the hydrolysates vary with the used materials. Even using the same lignocellulosic materials, the hydrolysates also change with different pretreatment methods. It has been shown that the appropriate hydrolysate compositions can dramatically improve the biological activities and bio-$H_2$ production performances. Over the past decades, hydrolysis with respect to different lignocellulosic materials and pretreatments has been widely investigated. Besides, effects of the hydrolysates on the biohydrogen yields have also been examined. In this review, recent studies on hydrolysis as well as their effects on the biohydrogen production performance are summarized.

의사결정 트리 기법을 이용한 그리드 자원선택 시스템 (Grid Resource Selection System Using Decision Tree Method)

  • 이 기종의 네트워크와 시스템 자원으로 구성된 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 대용량 데이터를 빠르고 정확하게 처리하기 위해서는 효과적인 그리드 자원선택이 필수적이다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 의사결정 트리 기법을 이용한 그리드 자원선택 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 자원 정보를 기록한 데이터 셋을 바탕으로 사용자들이 선택하는 자원들을 처리 할 데이터의 특성과 사용자의 요구사항으로 분석해서 자원선택을 위한 의사결정 트리를 구축한다. 그리드 사용자의 자원 요청 시 의사결정 트리를 탐색하여 사용자 요구 및 작업 특성에 적합한 자원들을 선택하여 작업을 할당함으로써 사용자 만족도를 향상시킴은 물론 전체 그리드 시스템의 성능을 개선한다. 실험결과는 본 논문에서 제안한 의사결정 트리 기반의 그리드 자원선택 시스템이 기존 그리드 자원선택 시스템인 Condor-G 및 Nimrod-G와 비교하여 더 높은 작업 처리율 및 자원 이용률과 더 적은 작업 손실 및 처리시간을 제공함으로써 그리드 자원선택 및 데이터 분산 처리에 효과적이라는 사실을 증명한다

지역농협의 성과제고를 위한 효율적 자원활용: 자원공유의 결정요인과 성과함의 (Efficient utilization of resource in Regional Agricultural Cooperatives: determinants and performance implications of resource sharing)

  • 지역농협이 직면한 환경불확실성의 증가와 경쟁의 심화에 따라 조직성과 개선에 대한 압박이 증가하는 추세이며, 이에 대한 해결안으로 선행연구들은 자원공유를 통한 효율성의 개선을 강조하였다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 우리나라 45개 지역농협의 132개 사업부를 대상으로 자원공유를 통한 성과제고의 여부를 검토하였다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면 사업부 간 보유자원의 유사성이 높을수록, 사업부의 자원보유수준이 높을수록 사업부 간 자원공유는 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 자원공유가 증가할수록 사업부 성과도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 매개효과 분석에서 사업부 간 보유자원의 유사성과 사업부의 자원보유수준은 각각 사업부 간 자원공유를 통해 사업부 성과를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 사업부가 속한 지역농협의 전반적인 자원보유수준은 사업부 간 자원공유에 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 매개효과도 존재하지 않았다. 본 연구는 비기업 조직을 대상으로 자원공유의 유효성을 확인했으며, 자원공유의 성과제고 효과를 높이는 상황적 조건들을 확인했다는 데에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

인터넷 쇼핑몰의 서비스 품질에 대한 동태적 자원배분 의사결정 (A Dynamic Resource Allocation on Service Quality of Internet Shopping-mall)

  • This study analyzes the Internet utilization pattern of customer by comprehensively investigating the previous studies on the behavior pattern of customer in terms of Internet business. Based on the analysis, this study develops research framework that supports strategic decision-making for resource allocation in Internet business. Such research framework would be helpful for providing the typology of Internet business model that can be specialized by each industry. As a result of the simulation analysis, it was found that the optimal resource allocation portfolio providing maximum profits to the Internet bookstore involves large-scale investment on delivery service and customer support service which are the key factors for post-purchase customer satisfaction, regardless of the growth pattern or size of Internet bookstore market. Consequently, from the above analysis, the investment ratio of resources for the profit maximization of Internet bookstore was drawn. Conclusively, based on the comprehensive examination of the results, this study provided a framework for dynamic resource allocation decision-making, and proposed a management strategy which allows consumers to shop under more favorable environment, and simultaneously enables the Internet bookstore to accomplish management objectives such as continuous growth and profit maximization.

Short Term Spectrum Trading in Future LTE Based Cognitive Radio Systems

  • Market means of spectrum trading have been utilized as a vital method of spectrum sharing and access in future cognitive radio system. In this paper, we consider the spectrum trading with multiple primary carrier providers (PCP) leasing the spectrum to multiple secondary carrier providers (SCP) for a short period of time. Several factors including the price of the resource, duration of leasing, and the spectrum quality guides the proposed model. We formulate three trading policies based on the game theory for dynamic spectrum access in a LTE based cognitive radio system (CRS). In the first, we consider utility function based resource sharing (UFRS) without any knowledge of past transaction. In the second policy, each SCP deals with PCP using a non-cooperative resource sharing (NCRS) method which employs optimal strategy based on reinforcement learning. In variation of second policy, third policy adopts a Nash bargaining while incorporating a recommendation entity in resource sharing (RERS). The simulation results suggest overall increase in throughput while maintaining higher spectrum efficiency and fairness.

  • Fishery resource rents(i.e. windfall gains or excess profit), which tend to lead a variety of important economic, social, political problems, have been a fundamental cause of unbalance between fishery resource use and management. Thus, there may exist several sorts of optimal level of resource utilization such as economic maximum sustainable yield, biological maximum sustainable yield, social optimum production, socio-political optimum yield, etc. The fishery resource use level seems to a large extent to be determined by the characteristics of fishermen's rent seeking structure. As well known, fishery resources as common properties have a characteristic of being difficult to establish private property rights. Therefore, their use rights are controlled by the permit and/or the license system. As a result, absolute or differential rents are formed by the changes in institutional arrangements. Rent problems are often transformed into serious socio-political issues when the rent in a given industry is much higher to a socially unacceptable extent than the average of other industries. However, individual fishermen or fishermen's groups tend to behave aggressively to change the existing fishery institutions towards maximizing fishery rents. These rent-seeking behaviors often tend to nullify fishery management schemes. The larger is the relative rent difference between fisheries and other industries, the more aggressive tend to be the rent-seeking behaviors in fisheries.

A Novel Framework for Resource Orchestration in OpenStack Cloud Platform

  • This work is mainly focused on two major topics in cloud platforms by using OpenStack as a case study: management and provisioning of resources to meet the requirements of a service demanded by remote end-user and relocation of virtual machines (VMs) requests to offload the encumbered compute nodes. The general framework architecture contains two subsystems: 1) An orchestrator that allows to systematize provisioning and resource management in OpenStack, and 2) A resource utilization based subsystem for vibrant VM relocation in OpenStack. The suggested orchestrator provisions and manages resources by: 1) manipulating application program interfaces (APIs) delivered by the cloud supplier in order to allocate/control/manage storage and compute resources; 2) interrelating with software-defined networking (SDN) controller to acquire the details of the accessible resources, and training the variations/rules to manage the network based on the requirements of cloud service. For resource provisioning, an algorithm is suggested, which provisions resources on the basis of unused resources in a pool of VMs. A sub-system is suggested for VM relocation in a cloud computing platform. The framework decides the proposed overload recognition, VM allocation algorithms for VM relocation in clouds and VM selection.

Trade-off between Resource Efficiency and Fast Protection for Shared Mesh Protection

  • Shared mesh protection (SMP) protects traffic against failures occurring in a working path, as with linear protection, and allows resource sharing of protection paths with different endpoints. The SMP mechanism coordinates multiple protection paths that require shared resources when failures occur on multiple working paths. When multiple failures occur in SMP networks sharing limited resources, activation can fail because some of the resources in the protection path are already in use. In this case, a node confirming that a resource is not available has the option to wait until the resource is available or to withdraw activation of the protection path. In this study, we recognize that the protection switching time and the number of protected services can be different, depending on which option is used for SMP networks. Moreover, we propose a detailed design for the implementation of SMP by considering options and algorithms that are commonly needed for network nodes. A simulation shows the performance of an SMP system implemented with the proposed design and utilizing two options. The results demonstrate that resource utilization can be increased or protection switching time can be shortened depending on the option selected by the network administrator.

Many-objective joint optimization for dependency-aware task offloading and service caching in mobile edge computing

  • Previous studies on joint optimization of computation offloading and service caching policies in Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) have often neglected the impact of dependency-aware subtasks, edge server resource constraints, and multiple users on policy formulation. To remedy this deficiency, this paper proposes a many-objective joint optimization dependency-aware task offloading and service caching model (MaJDTOSC). MaJDTOSC considers the impact of dependencies between subtasks on the joint optimization problem of task offloading and service caching in multi-user, resource-constrained MEC scenarios, and takes the task completion time, energy consumption, subtask hit rate, load variability, and storage resource utilization as optimization objectives. Meanwhile, in order to better solve MaJDTOSC, a many-objective evolutionary algorithm TSMSNSGAIII based on a three-stage mating selection strategy is proposed. Simulation results show that TSMSNSGAIII exhibits an excellent and stable performance in solving MaJDTOSC with different number of users setting and can converge faster. Therefore, it is believed that TSMSNSGAIII can provide appropriate sub-task offloading and service caching strategies in multi-user and resource-constrained MEC scenarios, which can greatly improve the system offloading efficiency and enhance the user experience.
