Design of a high-precision MOSFET threshold voltage extractor (고정밀 MOSFET 문턱전압 추출회로 설계)

  • A threshold voltage extraction scheme which does not need matched replica of the MOSFET under test is proposed. In contrast to alternative methods, the accuracy of the proposed scheme does not depend on the matching of the test transistors. The proposed scheme has been implemented in a matching-free way using a switched-capacitor subtracting ampliier and a dynmic current mirror. Nonideal effects associated with these circuits, such as non-zero offset voltages and finite gains of op-amps, capcitor mismateches, and charge injection of MOS switches, are investigated and compensated. The circuit has been designed using ISRC 1.5.mu.m CMOS process parameters andfabricated at Inter-University semiconductor Research Center, and its performance has been evaluated.

  • This paper presents the implementation-tation of the real-time software GPS Receiver based on FFT and FLL assisted PLL tracking algorithm. The FFT(fast fourier transform) based GPS si-gnal acquisition scheme provides a fast TTFF(time to first fix) performance. The tracking based on FLL assisted PLL enables tracking of GPS signal in a high dynamic environment. The designed software GPS receiver uses the indexing method for generating replica carrier to reduce computation load. The performance of the implemented GPS receiver is evaluated using high-dynamic simulated data from a simulator and real static data.

  • Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN) is a compulsory element in a voice-controlled machine due to its inherent capability of interpreting imprecise natural language commands. To control such a machine, user's perception of imprecise words is very important because the words' meaning is highly subjective. This paper presents a voice based controller centered on an adaptable FNN to capture the user's perception of imprecise words.   • An accurate threshold voltage extraction scheme for MOS transistors is presented. In contrast to alternative methods recently reported in the literature, this scheme does not need matched replica of the transistor under test, and thus can be applied more effectively and accurately to raal-time on-chip applications where threshold voltage measurements are required for many transistors with various geometries and bias conditions. The proposed scheme is accurately implemented in a matching-free way using a ratio-indepentent switched-capacitor subtracting amplifier and a dynamic current mirror. Nonideal effects associated with these circuits have been investiggated and compensated.

Fatigue Strength Characteristics of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V Steel by Improved TiN Coated Processes (TiN코팅 공정 개선에 의한 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V 강재의 피로강도 특성)

  • This paper deals with the effect of coating layer on the fatigue strength of TiN coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel prepared by using the arc ion plating (AIP) process, in which it was characterized by the presence of extractor grid (ion filter). The rotary bending fatigue tests were carried out under room air conditions, and the fatigue crack initiation and growth bwhavior were observed by using plastic replica method. As experimental results, it was found that the obvious improvement of fatigue life at lower stress region was confirmed in TiN coated specimen processed with ion filter. It was also exlained that the increase of fatigue life in the case of an improved AIP process with ion filter was attributed to the retardation of crack initiation of the substrate surface due to hard coating layer, more densly formed with the reduced size and density of droplets.

법랑질 표면에 미치는 산성불소인산용액의 내산효과

  • The effects of enamel solubility by the varying concentration of fluoride and phosphate as well as pH of the acid fluoride-phosphate solutions were tested and compared with th 7% stannous fluoride solution. The smooth surface of the sound permanent 1st premolars were demineralized by the Buttner's method. And the phosphorus extracted from the 1st premolars were analyzed by the Fiske and Subbarow's method. Enamel smooth surfaces treated with the acid fluoride-phosphate solution and the 8% stannous fluoride solution were obserbed electron-microscopically by the Filmy Replica method. The results of this study were summarized as follows: !. The least enamel dissolution rate was observed at the acid fluoride-phosphate solution contained 1.25% fluorine, 0.5% phosphate, and pH 4. 2. The anti-cariogenic effects comparison between the acid fluoride-phosphate solution and 8% stannous fluoride, the former was higher.

  • In this paper, a detection method of a pedestrian safety road marking was proposed. The proposed algorithm uses laser range and reflectivity of a range finder (LRF). For a detection of crosswalk marking and stop line, the DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) of reflectivity and cross-correlation method between the reference replica and the measured reflectivity are used. A speed bump is detected through measuring an altitude difference of two LRFs which have the different tilted angle. Furthermore, we proposed a velocity constrained a detection method of a speed bump. Finally, the proposed methods are tested in on-line, on the pavement of a road. The considered road markings are wholly detected. The localization errors of both road markings are smaller than 0.4 meter.

Self-Power Gating Technique For Low Power Asynchronous Circuit

  • In this paper, Asynchronous Self-Power Gating technique (ASPG) is used to reduce consumption power in asynchronous digital watch application. The power gating control signal is automatically generated by internal system operation characteristics instead of using replica circuit delay or four-phase handshaking protocol. Isolation cell is designed to insert it between power gating domain and normal operation domain. By using self-power gating circuit, asynchronous digital watch application consumes very low power and maintains data during sleep mode. The comparison results show the proposed ASPG technique saves leakage power up to 40.47% and delay time is reduced to 71% compared to the conventional circuit.

Study on Shinyeojuryeom through Historical Documents and Scientific Analysis (문헌자료와 유물의 과학적 조사를 통한 신여주렴(神輿朱簾)의 연구)

  • Shinyeojuryeom is a set of bamboo blinds[Juryeom] enclosing the Korean litter for transporting a mortuary tablet of royal family[Shinyeo] in Joseon dynasty. The blinds were made up of twigs laid horizontally which were joined together by vertical threading, then they were lined and backed with silk fabric. A number of historical documents such as Gukjosangryebopyeon(1758), JeongjoGukjangdogameuigwe(1800) and Gukjangdogam- myeongseseo(1905) provide information on material and structure of the litter and blinds. How- ever, detailed dimensions or specific ingredients of some of the materials were not clearly explained. In order to complement these missing or unclear parts, a close examination and scientific analysis of the litter's material was undertaken. The result newly identified materials of the gold tip tassels and pigments used on twigs as well as partly confirmed information on historical records. This new information will help further understanding and future production of a replica.

A Study on the Fatigue Strength Evaluation of Metal Matrix Composite (금속기 복합재료의 피로강도 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, rotating-bending fatigue tests of the SiC-whisker- reinforced 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and 6061-T6 alumiunm alloy made by power metallurgy were carried out to investigate the fatigue characteristics of plain and notched specimens at room temperature. The fatigue mechnisms in both materials were clarified through successive surface observations using the plastic replica method. In the case of the SiC-whisker-reinforced composites, there are whisker rich and poor zones and the fatigue crack is nucleated from the end of whiskers near the boundary. On the other hand, in the case of the 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, the fatigue crack is nucleated from defects and propagates by shear. Moreover, the results were discussed based on linear notch mechanics.
