교량의 생애주기비용 최적설계 (Optimal Life Cycle Cost Design of a Bridge)

  • 최근 들어 교량과 같은 구조물에 대한 생애주기비용(Life Cycle Cost, LCC) 분석의 중요성이 점차 커지고 있다. 그러나 교량의 공용수명 동안 발생할 수 있는 생애주기비용은 설계 및 시공조건 그리고 사용환경에 따라 많은 불확실성을 내포하고 있기 때문에 정확히 예측하기 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 교량의 생애주기비용 최적설계를 위한 설계방법을 제시하였다. 교량의 총생애주기비용은 초기비용, 손상비용 유지관리비용, 보수/보강비용, 사용자비용, 해제/폐기비용의 합으로 산정하였다. 생애주기비용을 목적함수로 하고 도로교설계기준을 제약조건으로 최적화를 수행하였다. 초기비용은 종합불가정보 및 참고자료를 근거로 산출하였으며, 하중 및 부재에 대한 불확실성을 고려하기 위해 손상확률의 개념을 도입하여 손상비용을 산출하였다. 교량의 내하율곡선을 이용하여 교량의 보수/보강 비용을 추정하였으며, 차량운행비용과 시간지연비용으로부터 사용자비용을 산정하였다. 이로부터 교량에 대한 생애주기비용 최적설계를 수행하고 주요인자들에 대한 영향을 살펴보았다.

최소 신뢰도를 보장하는 비 주기적 예방보전 모형 개발 (Developing a Non-Periodic Preventive Maintenance Model Guaranteeing the Minimum Reliability)

  • Purpose: This paper proposes the non-periodic preventive maintenance policy based on the level of cumulative hazard intensity. We aim to construct a cost-effectiveness on the proposed model with relaxing the constraint on reliability. Methods: We use the level of cumulative hazard intensity as a condition variable, instead of reliability. Such a level of cumulative hazard intensity can derive the reliability which decreases as the frequency of preventive maintenance action increases. We also model the imperfect preventive maintenance action using the proportional age setback model. Conclusion: We provide a numerical example to illustrate the proposed model. We also analyze how the parameters of our model affect the optimal preventive maintenance policy. The results show that as long as high reliability is guaranteed, the inefficient preventive maintenance action is performed reducing the system operation time. Moreover, the optimal value of the proposed model is sensitive to changes in preventive maintenance cost and replacement cost.

  • The maintenance and repair work of sidewalk block pavement is a construction that requires a large amount of budget to be invested every year. It is important to establish an appropriate standards for estimating construction cost to ensure proper budgeting and quality. In this study, the standards for estimating the cost of maintenance and construction work for sidewalk blocks that can be applied to the construction volume classified according to the site conditions, construction type, and equipment use differentiated from new construction was established. As a result, the daily construction volume was presented by reflecting excavator and truck as equipment in the combination of paver and common worker. The re-installation was applied by separating the construction volume of sections with general blocks and induction/raised blocks based on the installation of sidewalk blocks after demolition. Generally if block cutting is necessary, the precision construction conditions using a cutting machine were taken into consideration to secure the construction quality. In addition, it has been revised to apply classified construction volume into A and B-Type depending on the park and site conditions.

비 재생무료교체-수리보증이 종료된 이후의 교체모형 (Replacement Model Following the Expiration of NFRRW)

  • 본 논문에서는 비 재생무료교체-수리보증이 종료된 이후의 수리가 가능한 시스템에 대한 교체정책을 제안한다. 이를 위해서, 비 재생무료교체-수리보증을 정의하고, 사용자 측면에서 비 재생무료교체-수리보증이 종료된 이후의 보전모형이 고려된다. 최적의 보전정책을 결정하기 위한 기준으로는 사용자 측면의 단위시간당 기대비용이 고려되고, 보증 기간이 종료된 이후에 발생되는 시스템의 유지비용은 사용자가 모두 지불하게 된다. 즉, 시스템의 운영기간 동안 사용자가 지불하여야 할 비용들이 주어져 있을 때, 비 재생무료교체-수리보증이 종료된 이후의 최적의 보전주기를 결정한다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서 제안된 보존정책을 설명하기 위해서 수치적 예를 살펴본다.

Application of Particle Swarm Optimization to the Reliability Centered Maintenance Method for Transmission Systems

  • Electric power transmission utilities make an effort to maximize profit by reducing their electricity supply and operation costs while maintaining their reliability. The development of maintenance strategies for aged components is one of the more effective ways to achieve this goal. The reliability centered approach is a key method in providing optimal maintenance strategies. It considers the tradeoffs between the upfront maintenance costs and the potential costs incurred by reliability losses. This paper discusses the application of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique used to find the optimal maintenance strategy for a transmission component in order to achieve the minimum total expected cost composed of Generation Cost (GC), Maintenance Cost (MC), Repair Cost (RC) and Outage Cost (OC). Three components of a transmission system are considered: overhead lines, underground cables and insulators are considered. In regards to aged and aging component, a component state model that uses a modified Markov chain is proposed. A simulation has been performed on an IEEE 9-bus system. The results from this simulation are quite encouraging, and then the proposed approach will be useful in practical maintenance scheduling.

  • This paper considers a preventive maintenance policy following the expiration of renewing warranty, Most preventive maintenance models assume that each PM costs a fixed predetermined amount regardless of the effectiveness of each PM. However, it seems more reasonable to assume that the PM cost depends on the degree of effectiveness of the PM activity. In this paper we consider a periodic preventive maintenance policy following the expiration of renewing warranty when the PM cost is an increasing function of the PM effect. The optimal number and period for the periodic PM policy with effect dependent cost that minimize the expected cost rate per unit time over an infinite time span are obtained.

연성포장의 예방적 유지보수공법에 대한 현장 적용성 연구 (A Study on Field Application of Preventive Maintenance Method for Flexible Pavements)

  • 본 연구는 예방적 유지보수공법의 한가지 방법으로서 최소단면 보수공법을 제안 하였다. 최소단면 보수공법은 아스팔트 포장도로의 종방향 파손(소성변형, 종방향 균열)에 대한 보수공법으로 차량의 주행특성을 통계적 분석으로 추론하여 최소 유효보수범위를 70cm로 산정하였으며, 포장도로의 파손 정도에 따라 유효보수범위 변화를 고려할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다. 최소단면 보수공법의 현장 적용성을 시험하기 위하여 시험포장을 하였으며, 시험포장 결과 일정 수준의 공용성을 회복하는 것으로 나타났다. 향후, 본 최소단면 보수공법의 적절한 활용은 연성포장의 합리적 보수공법 중 한 가지가 될 수 있을 것으로 판단되며 연성 포장의 유지보수 및 관리에 대한 장기적 측면에서 볼 때 포장수명 연장과 유지보수비절감 효과가 있을 것으로 예상된다.

  • Recently a great deal of people are taking legal action against the housing provider due to the defects of their Apartment house. And most of the housing companies are spending a huge amount of expenses and efforts to keep their brand value. This essay will carry out time series analysis the 20 housing district which are constructed by huge construction companies. This analysis itemised by metropolitan area(Seoul) and others to keep the degree of reliability, and converted future defect maintenance cost into current cost applied by discount rate to figure out suitability of defect maintenance cost. Even though, this essay is not able to represent standard of defect maintenance cost due to the insufficiency of record, while it will be assisted as a referance when long-term record of time series is estabilished.

  • Purpose: Military maintenance involves corrective and preventive actions carried out to keep a system in or restore it to a predetermined condition. This research develops an optimal maintenance cycle for aviation oil testing equipment with acceptable reliability level and minimum maintenance cost. Methods: The optimal maintenance policy in this research aims to satisfy the desired reliability level at the lowest cost. We assume that the failure process of equipment follows the power law non-homogeneous Poisson process model and the maintenance system is a minimal repair policy. Estimation and other statistical procedures (trend test and goodness of fit test) are given for this model. Results: With time varying failure rate, we developed reliability-based maintenance cost optimization model. This model will reduce the ownership cost through adopting a proactive reliability focused maintenance system. Conclusion: Based on the analysis, it is recommended to increase the current maintenance cycle by three times which is 0.5 year to 1.5 years. Because of the system's built-in self-checking features, it is not expected to have any problems of preventative maintenance cycle.

  • Maintenance is classified preventive maintenance before performing equipment failure and corrective maintenance after performing equipment failure. In preventive maintenance, we may analyze the failure data to end from beginning of equipment and allocate maintenance method and calculate maintenance cycle quantitatively by the failure data analysis. So, it has a merit to reduce system maintenance cost and to operate effectively but, it require high cost in system introducing and continuous operation to end of system. In corrective maintenance, we may calculate MTTR(mean time to repair) quantitatively based on function failure time. it can be based on establishing maintenance system for operation efficiency. In this paper, we may reflect the MTTR for the onboard equipped in Tilting train to establish maintenance system for Tilting train operation efficiency.
