  • This study is a research for an idea of costume containing clothing system in the early Practical Science School. The result are described as follows 1. Bak-Kyem, Han got a critical thought and attitude to seek for practical and rational as pect. Because that he studied an original text and wanted to find a basic meaning. And the result, he made a Pang-Ryeong Symeui. 2. Hwyeng-won, Rue contended that we had to model after chinese costume system to seek for a correct clothing system to harmonize with our culture and regulation. And he sought for the original courtesy because that his basic idea of reformation in the clothing system was an ancient system. But when there was a remedy, he suggested a new system. 3. Ik, lee considered a clothing system with a critical and investigated attitude. In the clothing system, he wanted to keep an original courtesy. But he asserted a constant reformation in evil tradition. He pursued a rationality not to be tied a formality, and he had also a flexibility to recognize real customs.

  • Database management systems are now used in almost every organization to maintain and utilize important collections of information. Relational DBMSs have a firm theoretical base. However, it lacks important features needed for representing certain critical aspects of an entity. One alternatives to remedy this problem is to adopt the object-oriented approach to the data model development process. In this paper, we tried to show the advantages of object-oriented data model design process for the development of extended relational database schema needed for the integrated plant information system at H. Heavy Industry Co.

  • It has been studied a lot to solve the problems concerning about the port management system in Korea. Since the international competitive power of port system in Korea is decreasing these days. This paper suggests that Port Authority should be given to the local government in order to not only properly meet the demands from worldwide change in port condition but also develop the major country which will lead distribution system of northeast Asia in 21th century. In this paper, I also acknowledge the following facts. 1. more power needed for local government to develop and manage port system 2. the harmony of port function and urban capacity needed in order to utilize the extending effect from port development.

  • Since a ductile coupled shear wall system is the primary seismic load resisting systems of many structures, a coupling beams of these system must exhibit excellent ductility and energy absorption capacity. In this paper, the seismic response of coupled shear wall system is discussed. It includes that the evaluation of the degree of coupling between the shear walls and the coupling beams. It is demonstrated through a review of experimental investigations of coupling beam behavior that often the coupling beam ductility demand exceeds the expected available ductility. As a result, it is possible that coupled shear wall system will not behave as desired in the course of a significant seismic event. Limits to the allowable degree of coupling are proposed as a remedy to this apparent deficiency.

  • Currently, the Free Trade Agreement(FTA) promoting regionalism or bilateralism has been increasingly concluded, which is against multilateralism of the WTO. The adoption of the TRS under the FTA carries various issues from the rationale of its existence to its contents. To explain these contradictory issues between the WTO and the FTA, this paper studied on the TRS by analyzing present cases and negotiation results of the TRS under the FTA and comparing them under the WTO. The TRS under the WTO agreement is limited only to antidumping, countervailing duties and safeguard as the agreed concept. When the negotiations of the FTA are on the process, it is necessary to adopt the TRS depending on the negotiating party countries of the FTA after considering fully the economic situations of Korea and the need of protection for the domestic industries. Currently, Korea has entered into the FTA with several countries and most of the agreements with respect to the TRS maintain and observe the right and duty in the WTO agreement and when necessary, in some of the FTA agreements, they have changed parts of the TRS. Consequently, it is needed to establish the basis for application of the TRS. Also, additional application of the SSG provision to some sensitive goods is highly recommended.

  • Worldwide, air transport demand of this century is expanding rapidly, and each countries' demand is also increasing. Thus a number of low-cost carriers emerged in existing air transportation business sector and airman qualification check work regarding aviation safety management is increasing too. As the remedy for the result of aviation safety audit by ICAO and FAA in 2001 that governmental activity for aviation safety had been performed by a small number of aviation safety inspectors, airman qualification inspection system implemented by airlines was improved and the government has established the system that authorized airman qualification inspectors check airmen qualification with airlines according to the international trend. This study suggests the need of improvement of airman qualification inspection system that existing inspection system as the means of safety management can be transferred to Operations Safety Inspection(OSI) activity which is compliant with international standards.

  • Present system of maritime mobile communication is depend upon HF Band mostly. Due to the range of technical development activities for HF Band has reached to uppermost limit, it is going to be hard to meet the requirements of communication which would be increased in the future, by utilization of HF Band. Studying difficulties of realizing communication function and the uppermost limit of HF Band system, in order to seek more smooth communications under present system, I have been studying remedy of problems in using of HF Band system with examples of relay of free-charge telegrams for the group of an ocean-going vessels of our country, and analized and studied of future prospects of maritime mobile communication.

Robust Control of Electromagnetic Levitation System with Uncertain Coil Resistor (코일 저항의 불확실성을 가지는 자기 부상 시스템의 강인 제어)

  • Electromagnetic levitation system(EMLS) is one of the well known nonlinear systems due to its high degree of nonlinearities. Moreover, when there are uncertain parameters in EMLS, it is not easy to have an accurate control of EMLS. In this paper, we first apply a standard input-output feedback linearzing controller to EMLS and investigate the possible control error caused by uncertain coil resistor. Then, as a remedy, we design and apply a robust controller using Lyapunov redesign technique to deal with this uncertain coil resistor in the system. The validity of our robust controller is verified via system analysis and experimental results.

PAPR Reduction and BER Improvement for OFDM System using WH Transform and Data Grouping Technique

  • In this paper, we propose a novel OFDM-based system structure to reduce PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) and improve BER for OFDM system in which BER enhancement is obtainable based on WH (Walsh-Hadamard) transform to transmit concurrently each data symbol on all subcarriers so as to take advantage of frequency diversity and remedy the effect of channel's frequency-selectivity. By doing so, we also attain a low PAPR. Moreover, DGT (Data Grouping Technique) that is independent on the side information is also applied to further reduce PAPR. The simulation programs have been also performed to verify the validity of the proposed system.

The Current Trend of Research about Bojungikki-tang (보중익기탕의 최근 연구동향)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to provide the information about Bojungikki-tang by domestic papers and theses. Method : Domestic papers related to Bojungikki-tang were reviewed and analyzed. These papers were classified by year, research method, experimental method, and subject. Result : The following results were obtained in this study. 1. The study of Bojungikki-tang started from 1984 and continued steadily. 2. The domestic papers about Bojungikki-tang were 47 volumes. Among them, there were 26 volumes since 2000. 3. Classified by research method from the year 2000, 20 experimental studies, 4 clinical experiments, and 2 documentary researches. 4. Classified by experimental method from the year 2000, 10 studies used mouse in vivo experiment and 4 studies used rat in vivo experiment and 6 studies used each cell in vitro experiment. 5. Classified by subject from the year 2000, papers related to immune enhancing effect, nerve and mental system, radiation protection effect, anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, remedy of diabetes, skin protection and so on. Conclusion : Many papers of experimental studies, clinical experiments and documentary researches related Bojungikki-tang are included in domestic journals. Bojungikki-tang is being researched variously in immune enhancing effect, nerve and mental system, radiation protection effect, anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, remedy of diabetes, skin protection and so on. However, more clinical studies on Bojungikki-tang are needed.
