An Efficient Data Delivery Information Exchange for Reliable Wireless Multicasting (신뢰성 있는 무선 멀티캐스팅을 위한 효율적인 데이터 수신 정보 교환)

  • In this paper we issue some problems occurring when a mobile host moves from a base station to another in a wireless multicasting and propose a solution. In the case of not being in the same multicast group, the old base station will pre-forward data to neighboring base stations to avoid transmission delay. However, if other mobile hosts move at short interval, the old base station may retransmit the same dta to the same neighboring base stations. Also, the old base station should retransmit data if the new base station has already discarded data even if the new base station is a member of the multicast group. In this paper we propose called Information Exchange Scheme (IES). In this scheme, each base station exchanges indirectly the data delivery information with the rest of the base stations in the same multicast group for efficient and reliable multicast and pre-forwards data not retransmitting the same data for minimizing transmission delay when a mobile host moves. We also present how IES is efficient by analyzing and simulating.

Design and Analysis of Transmission Parameters for DH(Dog-Horse) Systems Based on IEEE802.16e (WiBro) (견마로봇 시스템의 상향링크 고속신호 전송을 위한 시스템 WiBro(IEEE802.16e) 통신변수 설계 및 분석)

  • This paper presents transmission parameters of DH(Dog-Horse) systems based on IEEE802.16e(WiBro) systems. DH requires higher uplink multimedia data rate, which is different from commercial WiBro systems. This paper designes some transmission parameters satisfying the DH system requirements and demonstrates link performance evaluation based on the parameters. For the transmission parameters, the number dwon/up link OFDM symbols are determined by 6/30, respectively. For reliable transmission of control signals, downlink modulation and coding rate are selected by QPSK, 1/2 coding rate and that of uplink is chosen by 16QAM 1/2 and 3/4 coding rate. Based on these parameters, computer simulations demonstrate the system performance of DH system.

The Classification of Congestion and Wireless Losses for TCP Segments Using ROTT (상대전송지연시간을 이용한 TCP 세그먼트의 혼잡 손실과 무선 손실 구분 알고리즘)

  • TCP is popular protocol for reliable data delivery in the Internet. In recent years, wireless environments with transmission errors are becoming more common. Therefore, there is significant interest in using TCP over wireless links. Previous works have shown that, unless the protocol is modified, TCP may perform poorly on paths that include a wireless link subject to transmission errors. The reason for this is the implicit assumption in TCP that all packet losses are due to congestion which causes unnecessary reduction of transmission rate when the cause of packet losses are wireless transmission errors. In this paper, we propose a new LDA that monitors the network congestion level using ROTT. And we evaluate the performance of our scheme and compare with TCP Veno, Spike scheme with NS2(Network Simulator 2). In the result of our experiment, our scheme reduces the packet loss misclassification to maximum 55% of other schemes. And the results of another simulation show that our scheme raise its transmission rate with the fairness preserved.

And, progressed research about IKEv2's Multiple-Key Exchange mechanism for efficient security transmission that use IPSec that is built-in to basis to IPv6 of Mobile environment. Have several key to single terminal to solve that is seam at hand off packet transmission process of Mobile Node in Wireless Network and Re-setting for Key and Re-exchange problem that happen frequently and studied technology that move. Key exchange protocol that is used for an experiment loads basically in MIPv6 and used IKEv2 protocol that is used for management and distribution of reliable encryption key between both end. Using network simulator of SSFNet(Scalable Simulation Framework Network Models) in this paper Key exchange delay value of IKEv2's security transmission analyzing comparison Performance measure and studied about problem and improvement way accordingly.

  • Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is an efficient technology to increase data rate in wireless networks due to bandwidth and power limitations. Data transmission rate between transmitter and receiver is determined by channel capacity. MIMO has anadvantage of reliable communication over wireless channel because of utilizing the channel capacity properly. In this letter, we drive a new formula, closed form capacity formula, using confluent hypergeometric function.

  • Rain attenuation can cause a serious problem that an availability of space communication link on Ka band becomes low. To reduce the effect of rain attenuation on the error performance of space communications in Ka band, an adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) scheme is required. In this paper, to achieve a reliable telemetry data transmission, we propose an adaptive coding and modulation level using turbo code recommended by the consultative committee for space data systems (CCSDS) and various modulation methods (QPSK, 8PSK, 4+12 APSK, and 4+12+16 APSK) adopted in the digital video broadcasting-satellite2 (DVB-S2).

  • This paper describes a monitoring system that monitors power quality and undesirable accidents when distributed generations are connected to the power grid. Prior to develop and operate a physical monitoring system, we constitute a simulation device to simulate the monitoring processes for the situations. The simulation system consists of the server and the client that connected by communication line. This system has various functions to monitor the power quality and the connection situation. Those functions are generation, transmission, acquisition and analysis of the simulated power data. This research seems very important to get the reliable and intelligent connection algorithm through the result of simulated monitoring system. Also hereafter, as this system uses the remote monitoring system through network and constitute the data base(DB), it will play an important role in building the automation of power system efficiently and systematically.

  • In this paper, we present an architecture for the fault isolation by applying virtualization-based multi-stack technologies. We propose the simultaneous sharing and switching mechanism using virtualied serial communications. Each guest OS has its own virtual serial device. The distribution module provides communications between the guest OS's through the virtual serial devices and simultaneously detect the liveness of the guest OS. The suggested mechanism has been implemented in VirtualBox and shows satisfactory performance in transmission speed and data sharing capability with virtual RS232.

Power System Fault Monitoring System using Wavelelet Transform and GPS for Accurate Time Synchronization (웨이블릿 변환과 GPS 정밀시각동기를 이용한 전력계통 고장점 모니터링 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • A continuous and reliable electrical energy supply is the objective of any power system operation. A transmission line is the part of the power system where faults are most likely to happen. This paler describes the use of wavelet transform for analyzing power system fault transients in order to determine the fault location. Synchronized sampling was made possible by precise time receivers based on GPS time reference, and the sampled data were analyzed using wavelet transform. This paper describes a fault location monitoring system and fault locating algorithm with GPS, DSP processor, and data acquisition board, and presents some experimental results and error analysis.
