The Relativity between Vibration of Phantom and Its Break Efficiency Due to Position of Focus Induced by Piezoelectric Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripter (압전식 충격파 체외 쇄석기 사용시 초점위치에 의한 대상물의 진동과 파쇄효율과의 상관성)

  • In this paper, the relation between the radiated sound and the vibration due to piezoelectric ESWL(Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripter) is examined and the results of the experiments are represented. Next, the relation between the focal point and the vibration of the objects is examined. The same experiments with the objects that can be broken are done and the relation between the vibration and the break efficiency of the phantom is experimentally investigated. These results show that the relativity between the power of the peak frequency and the break efficiency can be confirmed.

The Effects of the Job Stresses on Turnover Intentions and Job Satisfactions (해군함정 승조원들의 직무스트레스가 이직 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the job stresses perceived by R.O.K. naval crews on turnover intentions and job satisfactions. Especially, this study aims to derive the policy implication for the trait characteristics by comparing the job attitude between the surface naval ship and submarine crew. For this purpose, we surveyed 1,000 naval crews. Then, multiple regression analysis was performed. Next, a T-test was conducted to test statistical significance of group differences. First, the job stresses perceived by naval crews were higher in the order of physical environments, overworks, compensation incompetence, lacks of autonomy, and conflicts with people. Second, the job stresses perceived by submarine crews were higher than that of surface naval ship crews. It was also proved statistically significant by the T-test. Third, the physical environments, lacks of autonomy, conflicts of relativity, and inadequate compensation stress have a positive statistically significant effect on turnover intentions of naval crews. Fourth, lacks of autonomy, conflicts of relativity, and inadequate compensation factors have a statistically significant negative effect on the job satisfactions of naval crews. Finally, multiple regression analysis was performed between the independent and dependent variables of the naval crews, and the policy implications were derived.

A Study for Absolutely Distance Measurement System of Wavelength Variable Type by Using Pinciple of the Michelson Interometer (마이켈슨 간섭계의 원리를 이용한 파장변화형 절대 거리측정기의 기초 연구)

  • In this study, a distance-measurement system was proposed by using principle of the Michelson Interferometer and a fundamental research was carried out. In case of the rnichelson interferometer, relativity distance was measured by relativity-difference of two course of light. But wavelength of light source were changed in this system in order to use interference phenomenon of michelson interferometer in measuring absolutely distance. Wavelength of input signal were changed periodically and were interfered electrically. So absolute distance can be calculated by using $\Delta\lambda$ and measuring $\eta\Delta$ in electric interference. Nose by a external factor was small in this system because a absolutely distance was measured by phase difference. And a dispersion of noise was small in pulse-echo response because a error was occurred in range of phase difference of signal. Also very wide range can be measured by only single system because informations of distance were acquisited in wavelength level.

  • In this paper, we measured and analyzed the EEG signals related to the relativity between musical stimuli and human concentration for memorization. In our experiments, the subjects carried out the tasks related to human memorization exposing to musical stimuli and the tasks are to memorize the english words. We used two kinds of musical stimuli, one is a sedative tendency music and the other is a stimulative tendency music. We presented the results that are analyzed as the EEG signals by frequency bands, respectively.

A Study on the Relations between Yangseng Level and Stress in Industrial Workers (근로자(勤勞者)의 양생수준(養生水準)과 스트레스와의 관계(關係))

  • This study aims at grasping the relativity between laborers' yangseng level and stress so as to present the groundwork for preventive oriental medicine approach in industrial health. The researcher prepared the questionnaire on general character, health-related yangseng level and chose 632 people to execute Autonomic balance test through heartbeat change. The collected material was analyzed by SPSS and tested by T-test, ANOVA. The general yangseng level average is 3.27, morality yangseng 3.91, sleep yangseng 3.39, mind yangseng 3.32, sex life yangseng 3.29, exercise yangseng 3.14, activities and rest yangseng 3.07, diet yangseng 2.95, seasonal yangseng 2.84. The highest is morality yangseng and seasonal yangseng is the lowest. In the aspect of yangseng level : Having a spouse, Non-smoking, Non-drinking, Regular exercising, Sufficient sleeping have higher yanseng levels. In Autonomic balance test, age from 35 to 40 has the highest autonomic activity and job period from 5 years to 10 years has the highest stress resistance. Non-smokers have high autonomic activity and stress resistance. Further, have low autonomic balance, stress index and fatigue strength. In the case of regular exercising person, he/she has high autonomic activity and stress resistance with low stress index. Regarding sleeping time, autonomic balance is the highest when he/she sleeps less than 6 hours. Stress resistance is the highest when he/she sleeps 7 hours and stress index is the highest when he/she sleeps 6 hours. After comparing the relativity between yangseng level autonomic balance test, only exercise yangseng has plus factor on autonomic activity and stress resistance and minus factor on stress ind ex and fatigue strength. Yangseng level has been affected by individual character and daily habits. Also stress is more influenced by daily habits than by individual character. We can find the relativity of exercise yangseng between yangseng and stress which suggests that we need to take measures to win over stress in individual health in the near future.

Ch'oe Han-gi's Reflection on Relationalities in Existence (최한기의 존재론적 관계성 성찰)

  • Since the middle of the 19th century, East Asia, especially Korea, was oppressed externally by the imperialism of Japan and others while internally long-lasting political convention like in-law government was driving the country into troubles at home and abroad. Witnessing such a situation and building up scholarly capability through reading over nearly all spheres, a Confucian philosopher, Ch'oe Han-gi (崔漢綺, 1803-1877), philosophized about the clue to the solution of such a choking phenomenon. Ch'oe believed that there was movement, ki (matter, material force, energy) of revolving transformation inherent in all things, people, or objects. Grasping even the principle and order of existence inherent in things from the viewpoint of ki, he tried to change the traditional theory on the law of existence of things that there existed an ontological reason lacking in motility, which was more dominant than anything existing in the universe and which ruled over the world. From this, he elucidated that the Way, an identity that rules over all affairs and things, was not simply one but diverse. This means, on one hand, that he tentatively accepted the relativity of things. On the other hand, he also taught us "oneness in all things" in which all including human beings exist in close connection to each other transcending the relativity or "agreement" in which they exist in harmony as one and "unity" in which they are united into one.

Theoretical Study of Scientific Symmetry and Its Implications for Science Education (과학적 대칭성에 대한 이론적 고찰 및 과학교육에의 함의)

  • This study aims to provide a theoretical examination of symmetry and its implications for science education. For this purpose, first, we examined the way of thinking of Western science in general through ancient Greek scholars. Second, we divided the perception of symmetry into ancient and modern times. Third, we draw out the implications for science education. The results of this study show that, first, the way of thinking in Western science is 'abstraction', which began with Parmenides and was established by Plato. Second, the ancient perception of symmetry is symmetry as beautiful proportions and harmony based on abstraction, and the modern perception of symmetry is symmetry as an invariant perspective based on abstraction that seeks to find constancy in change. We examined Eratosthenes' experiment to measure the circumference of the earth as an example of ancient symmetry, and Galilean relativity or transformation as examples of modern symmetry. Third, the implications for science education are as follows. Awareness of symmetry can help educate students about the nature of science, as it is a central theme that runs through ancient and modern science. Second, the Eratosthenes' experiment and Galilean relativity or transformations are not represented in the 2022 revised curriculum, but could support understanding of science and key competencies and concepts. Finally, an integrated approach to science education centered on symmetry can have a positive impact on scientific attitudes and interest.

Pulsar Polar Cap and Slot Gap Models: Confronting Fermi Data

  • Rotation-powered pulsars are excellent laboratories for studying particle acceleration as well as fundamental physics of strong gravity, strong magnetic fields and relativity. Particle acceleration and high-energy emission from the polar caps is expected to occur in connection with electron-positron pair cascades. I will review acceleration and gamma-ray emission from the pulsar polar cap and associated slot gap. Predictions of these models can be tested with the data set on pulsars collected by the Large Area Telescope on the Fermi Gamma-Ray Telescope over the last four years, using both detailed light curve fitting, population synthesis and phase-resolved spectroscopy.
