  • Recently as the interest on Esthetic Dental Prosthesis is arising, the domains of Esthetic Dentistry is being widely investigated. Esthetic Dental Prosthesis is influenced greatly by the shape, color, tooth arrangement of the teeth and the facial features(including the lips). So the degree to which these characters harmonize will be the professional esthetical standard while the satisfaction of the patient will be another esthetical measure. The reason for this is that each and every one of us has a different standard of what is considered beautiful. Of course it doesn't mean that every standard is correct. Then what does Esthetical Prosthesis mean and what should the standard be? This must be defined as a prosthesis that satisfies the basic requirements - margin, contour, occlusion, and at the same time it should restore the shape, color, and tooth arrangement which the client(patient) would love to have. As Esthetic Prosthesis contains its subjective meaning a great deal, it shouldn't be simply distinguished between the beauty of the teeth itself or ugliness. Also in some case, it needs surgical treatment to make it harmonious in the whole aspect so that one may keep the feeling of satisfaction and security. Then what is the shape, color, tooth arrangement that each individual wants? There is an indefinite variety. For example, considering arrangement both regular and irregular is considered beautiful by each different individual. Regular arrangement may be the standard of beauty for some, while irregular arrangement may be thought of as natural looking and beautiful. That is why there must be enough communication with the patient and an agreement be made at the clinic before a diagnostic plan and actual surgery. The treatment plan as mentioned above must be sent to the dental laboratory. In this research, by using case studies, I am going to the importance and appropriateness of the data and information for the dental technician's esthetic prosthesis.

  • In this paper a technology which gives directions to people and also localization of the robotic vacuum cleaners inside some spacious buildings is developed. For this purpose, it is confirmed that which pattern has a small error in dealing with the indoor localization with various RFID tag arrangements attached on the ground. This experiment was conducted by using MT92(900MHz range Antenna) and ALR 9900+(Reader). As a result, the square arrangement has the least error, 21.19cm, among other patterns which are diamond, rectangle and regular hexagon. However, it is necessary to consider the number of tags in the unit area, from this point of view the regular hexagon arrangement is the most efficient arrangement among other patterns because it needs only 6 tags in the unit area.

  • The parallel coordinate plot is a graphical data analysis technique for plotting multivariate data. The parallel coordinate plot overcomes the visualization problem of the Cartesian coordinate system for dimensions greater than 4. But, using different ordering of coordinate axes in the parallel coordinate plot of the same data may make different interpretations. Hence, we can use the regular polyprism parallel coordinate plot as an alternative for overcoming the variable arrangement problem of the parallel coordinate plot.

  • In order to control waves in coastal zones effectively, multi-cylinder piles as the economical structures are suggested. A three dimensional hydraulic model experiment was performed to investigate the hydraulic characteristics of the structure. An experimental study was carried out research the effect of wave control and harbor tranquility through the wave height analysis for the existing concrete wave breaker and the structure with acrylic multi-cylinder piles type at the same location. In the results, the effective order of harbor tranquility is shown as the wave breaker > the staggered arrangement of multi-cylinder piles > the regular arrangement of multi-cylinder piles.

  • The purpose of this study was to research the characteristics of the pattern design and the weave construction of 67 fashion fabrics in women's Hanbok. All the fabrics were made by 100% silk. Arrangement, size, and the type of patterns were investigated for research of the pattern characteristics. Pattern weave and background weave were analyzed, then the weight and the thickness were measured for studying the fabric construction. The results were as follows. First, irregular arrangement was more commonly used than regular arrangement, and then the complex arrangement and the combination arrangement were appeared considerably because of the existence of the various patterns in a fabric. Third, the types of pattern weave construction were much more than those of background weave construction. This is caused by the expression of dimensional effect for patterns. This survey can be practically used for development of pattern design for Hanbok industry and furthermore it will contribute to revitalizing of Hanbok market to overcome design limit in the future.

  • Lateral sway is most likely to control the design of semi-rigid steel frames where the frame arrangements do not include any form of bracing. This paper investigates the sway behaviour of semi-rigid regular steel frames i.e., frames having the same arrangement of beam and column sections at all levels, and hence proposes some design charts for the prediction of sway that eliminate the need for doing any numerical modelling. Schueller's equation has also been modified to incorporate connection flexibility in addition to its original rigid frame considerations. All the proposed methods have been validated using results obtained from numerical analysis.

  • This study aims at finding the closest packings of regular shape particles such as sphere, circle rod and hexagonal rod type. As the ratio of particle size to container lowered to less than 1/10, the wall effect decreased gradually. The tap density of spherical particles with almost orthorhombic arrangement was 59.5%, while those of circle rod and hexagonal rod type particles were 63.5% and 63.0% respectively. And it was decreased with increasing the aspect ratio of regular particles. The tap density of binary mixtures was larger than that corresponding to the monosized particles packing by about 15%. The tap density of ternary mixtures was larger than that of corresponding to the packing of binary mixtures by about 9%. This work employed the binary mixture of 60% coarse particles and 40% fine particles with size ratio of 1.0 to 1/10 and the ternary mixture of 60% coarse particles, 20% medium and 20% fine particles with size ratio of 1:1/10:1/400 respectively.

  • The micromechanical approach was used to investigate the interfacial strain distributions of a unidirectional composite under transverse loading in which fibers were usually found to be randomly packed. Representative volume elements (RVE) for the analysis were composed of both regular fiber arrays such as a square array and a hexagonal array, and a random fiber array. The finite element analysis was performed to analyze the normal, tangential and shear strains at the interface. Due to the periodic characteristics of the strain distributions at the interface, the Fourier series approximation with proper coefficients was utilized to evaluate the strain distributions at the interface for the regular and random fiber arrays with respect to fiber volume fractions. From the analysis, it was found that the random arrangement of fibers had a significant influence on the strain distribution at the interface, and the strain distribution in the regular fiber arrays was one of special cases of that in the random fiber array.

  • The inverted retina of the Onchidium dorsal eye (DE) is composed only of ciliary-type photoreceptor cells (CC's). The outer segment (OS) of the CC is a concentric lamellar structure consisting of many modified ciliary membranes and stains positively with anti-$\beta$-tubulin antibody. Near the base of the OS there are about 30 basal bodies each connecting individually to a cilium. The cilia are rod-shaped at the base, progressing upwards to a flattened sheet-like shape with increasing surface area. Three-dimensional analysis on serial sections demonstrates the ladle-shape of a modified cilium. Many modified cilia wrap around each other like the leaves of a cabbage. Nine pairs of microtubules (MT's) are located regularly in a ring at the base of the cilium, gradually losing their regular arrangement towards the periphery, where they separate into two subgroups that are contained within two swollen portions of a modified cilium. Within the CC of the Onchidium DE, MT's in the modified cilium exist as two poles extending longitudinally in a thin expanded ciliary membrane. This arrangement may support the photoreceptive OS and serve to maintain its structural integrity.

  • This study derives the modern characteristics of the paisley ornament through an analysis of the paisley ornament shown in fashion since the 2010s based on a theoretical review of the paisley ornament used in Kashmir India shawls for artistic inspiration in the fashion-textile field. It classified the paisley ornament in fashion since the 2010s into types of 'basic structure of body and coif', 'abnormal paisley ornament shapes', 'complex structure of paisley ornament', 'complex structure with other motif', 'a pair of symmetrical reflection motif', 'regular of repetitive arrangement', 'complex arrangement of irregularity and regularity' and 'free arrangement of irregularity'. A comparative analysis with the historical paisley ornament shows that paisley ornaments have contemporary characteristics like 'Bisector structure of centerline in criterion of the body', 'Composite structure of extended 1-repeat', and 'Free structure of engineered placement'. A modern design was inspired by the historical art forms; however, it was used in free utilization of motifs and patterns in terms of size, direction, proportion and space. These were the expression of a design identity that originated from the aesthetic ability and career of a designer as well as the technology of computer programs for the improvements in time and cost efficiency.
