In 2008, the National Archives of Korea initiated the Archive Village project for the purpose of protecting valuable private records and enhancing the awareness of archival culture. To justify the expense of the government-supported project and determine its future direction, it is necessary to analyze the current status of the project. To do that, the researchers visited an Archive Village in I county and examined its accessibility, exhibition contents, facilities, equipment, etc., through observation. Interviews were also conducted with the person in charge of the project in the National Archives of Korea, as well as eight residents and three persons who were involved in building and managing the Archive Village in I county. Based on the results of the observation and interviews, the study suggests recommendations to improve the operation of the Archive Village in I county. The findings of the study will help other villages plan acquisition and management, as well as how to make important private records in local areas available.

The pre-elderly approaching old age in our society confront having a harsh economic status. The main purpose of this study was to explore the factors influencing the preparation of the pre-elderly for overcoming this status. In particular, it focused on financially stable pre-elderly persons. The data from the 2008 Chungcheongnam-do Welfare Plan for Five Years collected by the Chungnam Women's Policy Development Institute was used to analyze the research questions. The participants in this study included 735 persons (ages 55-64) living in Chungcheongnam-do. Five hundred and eighty-one self-reported questionnaires were used for the final analysis using SAS, version 9.1. This study attempted to identify the important variables needed to find the factors related to socio-demographic and economic characteristics, the adult-child relationship, the preparation plan for old age, etc. The results showed that job and health status were key to preparation for financial stability among the elderly. Another finding was the importance of concrete financial planning for the elderly; that is to say, the pre-elderly who made more concrete plans than indefinite ones were likely to belong to stable households. Another significant finding was that it is important to consider both objective and subjective factors for the financial preparation of the elderly. These results should serve as reference data for the future welfare policy for the elderly, because the financial independence of the elderly will be vital for a healthy relationship between new and old generations.

This is to introduce and overview regional transportation planning processes in the southwest region of the State of Washington, USA. First, significant roles of Growth Management Act (GMA) of the State of Washington in transportation planning are examined. Major functions and roles of Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) as an MPO in the southwest region of the State of Washington, are reviewed mainly from the regional transportation planning perspectives by examining regional transportation planning programs and coordination among the state and local cities and counties. Finally, processes and roles of Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) are discussed. Regional transportation planning processes in a case of the southwest region of the State of Washington may be considered as a reference in regional transportation planning efforts in Korea.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the consumer's current use and recognition for foodservice social enterprises type cafe. During the research, problems regarding the developmental directions of foodservice social enterprises type cafe. A one-to-one survey method was used for data collection, and 301questionnaires among the 309 distributed questionnaires to consumers were analyzed (97.4% response rate). The main results of the study were as follows : with reference to the awareness of the foodservice social enterprise type cafe, a majority of respondents (81.1%) replied that they had knowledge related to the business of social enterprise. Furthermore, regarding how customers came to know about the foodservice social enterprise type cafe results showed that 28.2% of respondents knew about the cafe by acquaintances such as friend, co-worker, family, 23.2% by mass media, and 27.2% by others. Data concerning a companion when visiting the cafe, revealed that more than half of the respondents (80.0%) had visited with friend and co-worker. On problems with using the cafe, approximately 46.2% of the respondents replied that there was lack of public relation and 28.9% replied that it was an uncommon store. Since the findings suggested that the major problem is a lack of promotion, foodservice social enterprises type cafe should prepare organized brochures and guide system to attract customers with various purposes and values. Finally, the promotion for foodservice social enterprise type cafe requires a guidance map.

Polypharmacy is increasing owing to an increase in the elderly population and multimorbidities associated with the increased risk of administration of potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs). The negative effects of polypharmacy on various health conditions and aspects, such as fall, fracture, mortality, cognitive function, and dementia, have been reported. The management of excess and inappropriate polypharmacy through proper interventions and local or national guidelines has been highlighted. The purpose of polypharmacy management is to appropriately prescribe medicines that are essential to treat diseases in patients and to avoid inappropriate polypharmacy, such as interactive or duplicate medicines under prescription and PIMs for specific diseases. Community pharmacists in Australia, the EU, USA, and Japan are collaborating with prescribers to review medications to ensure that the patients can be prescribed appropriate medications. The service cost is reimbursed by public or private insurers. A study in the United States has shown that even with medication review costs, the overall medication cost has reduced. In Korea, various projects such as Drug Utilization Review service and safe use of medicines have been conducted; however, no national guidelines or management measures have been established. It is necessary to implement a national long-term plan on polypharmacy management. Furthermore, a phased implementation plan is required. Shortly, active medication review services and education programs for healthcare professionals with the support of the government should be considered in Korea with reference to other countries in order to raise awareness of seriousness and risks of inappropriate polypharmacy.

A space launch vehicle system represents a typical example of large-scale multi-disciplinary systems, consisting of subsystems such as mechanical structure, electronics, control, telecommunication, propulsion, material engineering etc. A lot of cost is required to develop the launch vehicle system. A precise planning of R&D cost is very essential to make a success of the launch vehicle development program. Especially in the early development phase of a new space launch vehicle system, cost estimation techniques and analogy from past similar development data are very useful methods to estimate a development cost of the launch vehicle system. Now Korea Aerospace Research Institute is in charge of the KSLV-I (Korea Space Launch Vehicle-I) Program that is a part of Korea National Space program. KSLV-I Program is a national undertaking to develop launch capabilities to deliver science satellites of a 100kg-class into a low earth orbit. It is hereafter, going to plan to develop a new korean space launch vehicle. In this paper, first the development costs of well-known launch vehicles in the world are presented to provide a reference to make a development plan of a new launch vehicle. Second this paper introduces the present status of cost estimation applications at NASA. Finally this paper presents the results from application of a TRANSCOST, a parametric cost model, to derive a cost estimate of a new launch vehicle development, as an example.

Recently, as a way to revitalize the comprehensive logistics service industry, the government is trying to foster the concentration of the logistics industry. The introduction of institutional and legal measures for the maintenance of the logistics system will be expanded to the support limit for the professional logistics business, and the support for acquisitions and mergers will be strengthened. The expansion plan is also being promoted. In this paper, to analyze the efficiency of the integrated logistics service industry using DEA, we analyzed management efficiency using financial data for a total of 15 integrated logistics service industries. In the case of inefficient companies, the projected values for efficient company operation were presented, and the companies that could be benchmarked were identified through reference sets. In addition, I would like to consider the company's operation plan in consideration of scale profitability.

Construction Management means a comprehensive plan of given the resources and the operation of the elements to complete the construction within the construction period. The construction period of these shall be determined by calculation based on reliable initial business. However, in actual field, inaccurate task duration is determined to the intuitive judgments of representative, reference of a similar project construction period of the past. As previous studies for the improvement of existing methods, This study presented a standard model that can be utilized in the early stages of construction projects for the TBM method operating by diameter (2.6m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 5.0m, 8.0m), and This study presented and calculated construction period which can estimated quickly the entire outline the construction period Therefore, When performing TBM construction work in the future, the total construction period which presented and analyze by TBM diameter, can be used as a useful material which plan and manage construction contracts, construction estimating, construction planning to the basic planning stage, and the basic design stage.

This study examines the overall contents of robots, drones, and autonomous driving that can be applied to libraries among autonomous objects, and proposes a plan that can be introduced and applied to libraries in the future based on this. As a result of the study, in the case of the building, robots and drones can be used to apply from collection inspection, collection transport, collection arrangement, collection classification, book location guidance, book recommendation, loan/return, library general guidance, and reference information service. Outside of the building, robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles can be used for book delivery service, book return service, and unmanned mobile libraries. This study is a basic research for the introduction and application of autonomous objects in the library, and follow-up studies such as perception survey and application model development for systematic introduction should be conducted in the future.

This study aims to develop a COVID-19 documentation strategy for university archives, which will act as a response system to infectious diseases. The study applied the phases of "documentation area definition and preliminary analysis" and "documentation strategy drafting" described in Heckman's documentation strategy model. In defining the documentation area and doing preliminary analysis, the author analyzed the cases of COVID-19 documentation projects at overseas university archives and conducted interviews with stakeholders. In drafting the documentation strategy, the author interviewed three archivists working in university archives. From these findings, the documentation strategy plan was developed and revised based on the feedback from archivists. The strategy plan covers the documentation purpose, subject/functional area, group, reference information, and major considerations. The findings of this study might be useful for figuring out ways to secure records related to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases in university archives.
