폴리이미드 박막의 공간전하현상 및 수분의 영향 (Space Charge Phenomena in Polyimide Films and Effects of Absorbed Water)

  • Polyimide is widely used as a high-temperature insulating material. Space charge distributions in polyimide (PI) films strongly depend upon electric field, temperature, water content and so on. We observed space charge distributions in PI films with various water contents. When a dc field was applied to as-received PI films or water-treated PI films, positive and negative homo space charges were observed near the respective electrodes at 333 K. In dried PI films, the homo space charges were much reduced, and positive and negative hetero space charges in the bulk were clearly observed. The space charge amounts in water-treated PI films were smaller than in as-received ones, while the current density in water-treated PI film was larger than that in as-received one by two or more orders of magnitude. These suggest not only that the charge injection from the electrode is enhanced by absorbed water but also that absorbed water makes carriers mobile. The decay of space charge was also faster in water-treated PI than in as-received or dried one. This also supports the enhancement of apparent mobilities of carriers in PI by absorbed water.

  • The exhaust emission characteristics of a liquefied petroleum gas-di-methyl ether (LPG-DME) compression ignition engine was investigated under homogeneous charge, stratified charge and diffusion combustion conditions. LPG was used as the main fuel and injected into the combustion chamber directly. DME was used as an ignition promoter and injected into the intake port. Different LPG injection timings were tested to verify the combustion characteristics of the LPG-DME compression ignition engine. The combustion was divided into three region which are homogeneous charge, stratified charge, and diffusion combustion region according to the injection timing of LPG. The HC emission was reduced with LPG stratification. However, the carbon monoxide and particulate matter emissions were increased. The ignition timing was advanced with LPG stratification. This advance combustion was because of charge temperature and cetane number stratification with LPG.

  • 본 논문에서는 CIM(Current Injection Method)을 이용한 charge-pump방식의 plasma backlight용 고압 inverter회로를 제안한다. 고압 inverter에서 에너지 회수회로의 채용은 새로운 시도로서 에너지회수 이외에도 noise에 의한 시스템의 불안정성과 방전안정화에 기여하고 있다. charge-pump방식으로 스위치류의 내압을 저감하므로 cost면에서 매우 유리한 조건을 확립하였으며 CIM(Current Injection Method)방식의 적용으로 high speed 에너지 회수를 가능하게 하였다. 그리고 제안회로의 동작을 모드별로 해석하였으며, 실제 32" 패널에 적용하여 실험함으로써 제안한 회로의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • This study presents the estimation method for the optimal capacity of BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) in order to reduce the electric charges of common consumer. The daily optimal charge and discharge plan of BESS which satisfies the given constraints is established using linear programming through the change of rated output/rated capacity of the time that shows the electric charges in the highest reduced rate has been selected. There will be a problem to compare only reduced rate because the bigger the rated capacity, the more reduced rate is increased. Therefore, rated output/rated capacity of the time when the reduced amount of electric charges for a year is higher than the investment cost of BESS was selected.

  • A homogeneous premixed charge compression ignition engine is experimentally investigated for the reduction of exhaust emissions in diesel engines. In this study, the premixed fuel is injected into the intake manifold to form homogeneous pre-mixture in the combustion chamber and then this pre-mixture is ignited by small amount of diesel fuel directly injected into the cylinder. In the premixed charge compression ignition engine, NOx and smoke concentration of the exhaust emissions were reduced simultaneously as compared with the conventional diesel engine. But HC and CO emissions were increased with the increase of premixed ratio. The combustion characteristics of premixed charged diesel engine such as the power output, the rate of heat release, and the other characteristics are discussed.

  • This paper presents a charge pump used in frequency synthesizer for PHS application. The up/down current mismatch of charge pump has a critical effect on the phase noise and spur performance in frequency synthesizer. Therefore, the mismatch compensation scheme is proposed in this paper. And, the measurement results show that the mismatch can be reduced below 5 %.

Bleaching of Hardwood Kraft Pulp by Xylanase Pretreatment

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of xylanase pretreatment of the unbleached hardwood kraft pulp during the conventional Chlorine-Extraction- Hypochlorite (CEH) bleaching on pulp property. Optimum bleaching condition was evaluated by using Novozym produced from the fungus Humicola insolens. Also the effect of chelating agent prior to enzyme treatment was analyzed. The kappa number of enzymatic bleached pulp at the enzyme charge 10 IU/ml was slightly similar to that of bleached pulp without enzyme. By enzyme treatment, the chlorine charge in conventional CEH bleaching process of hardwood KP could be reduced by 17%, while no adverse effect on pulp yield and strength was. The optimum condition for enzyme pretreatment was 10 IU/ml xylanase charge, 3 to 4 hrs treatment, and 2% pulp consistency. In sugar composition in the enzyme pretreated pulp, arabinose and mannose were not much different, but more xylose was retained. This high content of hemicellulose in pulp seems to play an important role in pulp properties. The pulp pretreatment by chelating agent prior to enzyme treatment could improve the enzyme activity and enhance the bleaching effect at 0.2% diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) charges.

In this study, the premixed fuel is injected into the intake manifold to form homogeneous pre-mixture in the combustion chamber and then this pre-mixture is ignited by small amount of diesel fuel directly injected into the cylinder. In the premixed charge compression ignition engine, NOx and smoke concentrations of the exhaust emissions were reduced simultaneously as compared with the conventional diesel engine. But HC emission was increased with the increase of premixed ratio. Also, when EGR system was applied to the PCCI diesel engine, the effect of EGR rate on the combustion characteristics and the exhaust gas emissions was discussed.
