X-type Zeolite for the gas separation was prepared by hydrothermal methods and the zeolite was ion-exchanged with KCl, $CaCl_2$, $YCl_3$ and $InCl_3$ in order to investigate the effect of ions on the properties of molecular sieves. Adsorption isotherms of $CO_2$ on ion exchanged X-type zeolites and those of $O_2$ and $N_2$ on the synthesized zeolite were measured at $25^{\circ}C$ using a volumetric method and the adsorption characteristics were compared with each other. Model parameters for the Langmuir, Freundlich and Toth equations were regressed for the measured adsorption isotherms. In order to confirm the applicability of the zeolite on $CO_2-PSA$ processes, breakthrough tests and process simulation were undertaken. It was found that the X-type zeolite could be a potential adsorbent in recovering $CO_2$ from flue gas.

Many of the old industrial cities in advanced economies have experienced deindustrialization since the 1960s. While some of them have been transforming their economic structures with new economies, such as arts and cultural industries, others have been seriously suffering from economic and social problems. Brooklyn Borough of New York City is one of the best examples which have gone trough rapid de-industrialization; but have been reasonably successful in recovering its economy with arts and cultural industries. This paper introduces the process of developing creative industry clusters, articulates major actors, and find out the governance of the clusters, using three Brooklyn's arts clusters, such as DUMBO, BAM and Williamsburg. Based on the case studies, the paper draws theoretical and policy implications applicable to the Korean circumstance.
In order for data obtained through all stages of digital crime investigation to be recognized as evidence capability, it must satisfy legal / technical requirements. In this paper, we propose a mechanism and implement software to provide digital forensic evidence by automatically recovering files by scanning / inspecting the unallocated area inside the storage disk block without relying on information provided by the file system. The proposed technique checks / analyzes the RAW disk data of the system under analysis in 512-byte block units based on information on the storage format / file structure of various files stored on the disk without referring to the file system-related information provided by the operating system. The file carving process was implemented, and a smart carving mechanism was proposed to intelligently restore deleted or damaged files in the storage device. As a result, we have provided a block based smart carving method to intelligently identify fragmented and damaged files in storage efficiently for forgery analysis on digital forensic investigation.
Combined mineralogical and geochemical studies were made on two hundred eighty one representative samples from uraniferous coaly meta-pelites of the Ogcheon metamorphic terrain. Different mineral occurrence of the areas investigated should be taken into account for chemical processes for uranium extraction. Secondary uranium minerals identified are metauranocircite, metatorbernite and autunite. These are disseminated mostly on the laumontites which infused and filled secondary openings in the coaly matrix, and are often closely associated with iron oxides. The uranium distribution show distinctly log normal. Geochemical correlation coefficient of uranium and organic carbon displays +0.624~+0.796. The relationship of the major components to uranium can be expressed by the following regression equation: Log $(U_3O_8{\times}10^4)$=1.40117-0.00076 (quartz) -0.00118 (muscovite) +0.00235 (biotite) +0.00323 (other silicates) - 0.01114 (apatite) +0.01124 (hematite) +0.00149 (limonite) -0.01823 (opaques)+0.03049 (organic carbon). Uranium in the coaly meta-pelites of the Ogcheon Group was deposited together under same physico-chemical environmental conditions. There is a considerable variation in the ${\delta}^{34}S$ values (11.2~16.8 per mil) of the pyrites from the U-bearing meta-pelites, which implies sedimentary origin. The two U-bearing coaly rocks analyzed have ${\delta}^{13}C$ values between -16.88~-18.00 per mil, which suggests organic.
This paper described the design and implementation of the FRA(Fault Recovery Agent) for home network environment based on IP-USN. This system consists of a FDA, FSA, and FRA. FDA is an agent that detects an fault by hooking techniques for multimedia distance education based on IP-USN environment. FSA is an agent that is an fault sharing system for multimedia distance education based on IP-USN environment. FRA is a system that is suitable for recovering software fault for multimedia distance education running on home network environment based on IP-USN. It is necessary for the system to be protected by reactivity of media service instance instead of breaking process of session. This system is limited only for FRA modeling.

This paper is aimed at defining items of fault, and then constructing rules of fault diagnosis and recovery using INBANCA technology for the purpose of managing the weh server. The fault items of web server consist of the process fault, server overload, network interface fault, configuration and performance fault. Based on these items, the actual fault management is carried out fault referencing. In order to reference the fault, we have formulated the system-level fault diagnosis production rule and the service-level fault diagnosis rule, conjunction with translating management knowledge into active network. Also, adaptive recovery mechanism of web server is applied to defining recovery rule and constructing case library for case-based web server fault recovery. Finally, through the experiment, fault environment and applicability of each proposed production rule and recovering scheme are presented to verify justification of proposed diagnosis rules and recovery mechanism for fault management. An intelligent case-based fault management scheme proposed in this paper can minimize an effort of web master to remove fault incurred web administration and operation.

In this Paper, a novel 622Mbps burst-mode clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit is proposed for passive optical network (PON) applications. The CDR circuit is composed of CDR(Clock and Data Recovery) block and PLL(Phase Locked Loop) block. Lock dynamics is accomplished on the first data transition and data are sampled in the optimal point. The CDR circuit is realized in 0.35um CMOS process technology. With input pseudo-random bit sequences(PRBS) of $2^7-1$, the simulations show 17ps peak-to-peak retimed data jitter characteristics. The experimental results show that the proposed CDR circuits are operating as expected, recovering an incoming 622Mbps burst-mode input data without errors.

Although variable-length codes (VLCs) increase coding efficiency using the statistical characteristics of the source data, they have catastrophic effects from bit errors in noisy transmission environments. In order to overcome this problem with VLCs, reversible variable-length codes (RVLCS) have recently been proposed owing to their data recovering capability. RVLCS can be divided into two categories: symmetrical and asymmetrical RVLCs. Although the symmetrical RVLC has generally more overheads than the asymmetrical RVLC, it has some advantages of simpler design and more efficient memory usage. However, existing symmetrical RVLCs still have high complexity in their code design and some room for improvement in coding efficiency. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for constructing a symmetrical RVLC from the optimal Huffman code table. The proposed algorithm has a simpler design process and also demonstrates improved performance in terms of the average codeword length relative to the existing symmetrical RVLC algorithms.
The herb, Cajanus indicus L, is well known for its hepatoprotective action. A 43 kD protein has been isolated, purified and partially sequenced from the leaves of this herb. A number of in vivo and in vitro studies carried out in our laboratory suggest that this protein might be a major component responsible for the hepatoprotective action of the herb. Our successive studies have been designed to evaluate the potential efficacy of this protein in protecting the hepatic as well as renal tissues from the sodium fluoride (NaF) induced oxidative stress. The experimental groups of mice were exposed to NaF at a dose of 600 ppm through drinking water for one week. This exposure significantly altered the activities of the antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione-S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR) and the cellular metabolites such as reduced glutathione (GSH), oxidized glutathione (GSSG), total thiols, lipid peroxidation end products in liver and kidney compared to the normal mice. Intraperitoneal administration of the protein at a dose of 2 mg/kg body weight for seven days followed by NaF treatment (600 ppm for next seven days) normalized the activities of the hepato-renal antioxidant enzymes, the level of cellular metabolites and lipid peroxidation end products. Post treatment with the protein for four days showed that it could help recovering the damages after NaF administration. Time-course study suggests that the protein could stimulate the recovery of both the organs faster than natural process. Effects of a known antioxidant, vitamin E, and a non-relevant protein, bovine serum albumin (BSA) have been included in the study to validate the experimental data. Combining all, result suggests that NaF could induce severe oxidative stress both in the liver and kidney tissues in mice and the protein possessed the ability to attenuate that hepato-renal toxic effect of NaF probably via its antioxidant activity.

Velvet deer antler (VDA) is well known oriental medicine claimed to have tonic activities as improving bone mineral density (BMD), immune-enhancing, rejuvenating and many other medicinal activities. Ossified deer antler (ODA) is bony product produced by over-calcification of deer antler due to late harvesting. The extraction efficiency of ODA by conventional boiling in water must be very poor due to bony nature, hence the reputations for the medicinal efficacies of ODA has been highly under-evaluated compared to that of VDA without any experimental evidences. Employing our new efficient water extraction process ($135^{\circ}C$), the extracts of ODA and VDA were analysed to compare the contents of bioactive components and the potencies of pharmacological activities. The results showed that; 1) The $135^{\circ}C$ extraction (autoclaving) of ODA gave highly increased amount of biomass, 120% more than the conventional extraction by 100-boiling, whereas the same treatment for VDA showed only 15% increased amount of biomass. 2) Feeding the ODA- or VDA-extracts to oophorectomized rats showed very potent BMD-recovering activity. 3) During the ossification of deer antler, the total collagen content was found to be increased by addition of type-1 to pre-existing type-2 collagen, but not replacement of type-2 to type-1 collagen. High titer of peptide hormones like growth hormone and IGF-1 were detected in the ODA- and VDA-extracts and also in the serum of ODA- or VDA-treated oophorectomized animals dose-dependently. Present experimental data will give a conclusion that folkloric poor reputations on ODA must be concerned only with poor extraction efficiency of conventional $100^{\circ}C$ water extraction and not based on the composition of bioactive substances of ODA.
