A Study on Prediction of Acoustic Loads of Launch Vehicle Using NURBS Curve Modeling (넙스(NURBS) 곡선 모델링을 이용한 발사체 음향하중 예측에 대한 연구)

  • The Intense acoustic wave generated by the jet flame at the lift-off causes the vehicle to vibrate in the form of acoustic loads. The DSM-II(Distributing Source Method-II), which is a representative empirical acoustic loads prediction method, is a method of distributing a noise source along a jet flame axis and has advantages in calculation cost and accuracy. However, due to the limitation of the distributing method, there is a limit to accurately reflect the various launch pad configurations. In this study, acoustic loads prediction method which can freely distribute noise sources is studied. by introducing NURBS(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) modeling into empirical prediction method. For the verification of the newly introduced analytical technique of the NURBS, the acoustic loads prediction for the Epsilon rocket's low-noise launch pad shape was performed and the results of the analysis were compared with the existing prediction methods and experimental results.

  • It has been pointed out in the literature that the Routh approximation method for order reduction has limitations in treating transfer functions with the denominator-numerator order difference not equal to one. The purpose of this paper is to present a new algorithm based on the Routh approximation method that can be applied to general rational transfer functions, yield ing reduced models with arbitrary order.

  • A rational method is presented for estimating the power increase of a ship at sea. A probabilistic approach is applied to determine the weather condition at sea, A comparison is made between some full-scale data and the result of Swift's method. A comparison is also made to find differences among the results of eight kind methods for the wind added resistance of a VLCC in head wind. The mean difference between the results is 7%, in general, for a given relative wind speed.

  • This study investigated how to utilize number line related number concept learning and analyzed problems related utilization of number line focused on natural number and rational number(fraction, decimal), in elementary school mathematics textbook. The purpose of this study is to identify desirable direction about the utilization of number line, based on analysis of the introduction of time, introduction contents and utilization method in elementary school mathematics textbook.

  • This paper evaluates the computational efficiency of sample-rate converters with rational factors in multi-stage structure in terms of memory requirement and multiplications per second. We describe resolution preserving and mutual prime conditions, and then present a method for designing the converter from which optimal rational-valued conversion factors for each stage can be yielded directly. As an example, we show an implementation of the 44.1-to-48KHz sample-rate converter in 2-stage structure.

  • For preliminary estimation of ships' machinery weights, many papers giving well-judged data and discussions for rational method of estimation, such as [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], are available, however, they are mostly concerned with large ships propelled by power more than about 2, 000 horsepower. Regarding the medium and small-sized ships, as far as the author is aware, fragmental data and vague discussions found in various technical literature are the all available. In this paper, available data concerned with machinery weights of commercial ships propelled by direct-drive diesel plants of power below 3, 000 horsepower with single screw propeller are collected and analysed to obtain systematic data Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 as weight to power ratio versus power per shaft diagrams together with suplementary data Fig. 1 and Fig. 3. Influences of various factor such as revolutions per minute, mean effective pressure, type and construction of the main units on machinery weights are also investigated in detail to give a better guidance for logical and rational utlization of the proposed diagrams in preliminary estimation of machinery weights.

  • In this paper, we propose a method that applies Adaptive Frequency Sampling(AFS) technique to the equivalent circuit model for RF passive components. Thes days wireless communication system is getting smaller and smaller. So EMI/EMC is an issue in RF. We can solve PI(Power Integrity)/SI(Signal Integrity) that one of EMI/EMC problem apply IFFT for 3D EM simulation multiple with input signal. That is time comuming task. Therefore equivalent circuit model using RF passive component is important. AFS schemes are implemented to obtain the rational functions. S parameters of the equivalent circuit moldel is compared to those of EM simulation in case of the microstrip line structure.

연분수와 무리수에 관한 고찰

  • Every real number can be expressed as a simple continued fraction. In particular, a number is rational if and only if its simple continued fraction has a finite number of terms. Owing to this property, continued fractions have been a powerful tool which determines a real number to be rational or not. Continued fractions provide not only a series of best estimate for a real number, but also a useful method for finding near commensurabilities between events with different periods. In this paper, we investigate the history and some properties of continued fractions, and then consider their applications in several examples. Also we explain why the Fibonacci numbers and the Golden section appear in nature in terms of continued fractions, with some examples such as the arrangements of petals round a flower, leaves round branches and seeds on seed head.

  • Creeks, defined by creek's improvement law, have strong localities in the flow characteristics and environmental condition. During the recent ten-years, lots of flood damages have occurred rather in the creeks. However, quantity and stream design information are poor while the national-class and local-class streams have sufficient. This causes a problem on improving the safety from flood. This study focuses on assessment of practical applicability for design flood estimation models. For this, Rational formula, Clark's model and Nakayath synthetic unit hydrograph method are estimated by data of the creek comprehensive improvement plan report, etc.

전문가 집단과 비전문가 집단의 고속철도 운임수용범위에 관한 실증분석

  • This study tried to find out alternatives adjusting basic fare using customer survey. But it merely verified that train fare decision is made by government's role and market status. Also, it has a limitation deciding resonable fare of KTX that average cost and marginal cost calculation is impossible because Korean National Railroad does not follow 'Activity Based Costing'. It is rational fare decision that performing survey to railroad experts and general customers, and compare two results. Summarizing results of this study, 1. The hypothesis 'Experts' perceived fare level of KTX is higher than that of general customer. 'is carried. It suggests that following experts' opinion with general customer's is very rational method to decide fare level. 2. The hypothesis 'Experts expect lower level of fare discount rate than general customer.' is carried. 3. It is hard to decide priority among many kinds of discount for difference of two group's preference. However, following recent research project is maximized by discounting fare 30$\%$ on 40$\%$ of total passenger and expand number of discount kinds step by step are desirable.
