LIM 방식 자기부상철도의 궤도시스템 개발 (Development of the Track System for a LIM Type Maglev)

  • 이 연구에서는 선로구축물을 최소화 할 수 있어 도시형 자기부상철도로 적합한 LIM 방식 자기부상철도의 궤도시스템을 개발 제안하였다. 도심지에 건설될 경우 많은 사치적 비용을 초래하므로 공사기간을 단축할 수 있도록 프리캐스트 바닥판을 사용하는 상부구조 형식을 채택하였으며 바닥판 시공시 침목이 함께 설치 될 수 있는 트윈블록 침목 궤도시스템을 개발하였다. 제안한 트윈블록 침목 궤도시스템에 대해 유한요소해석과 실험을 통해 구조적 안전성을 검증하였으며 모의시공시험 및 기계연구원 시험선 시공을 통해 그 시공성을 확인하였다.

연약노반상에서의 토목섬유 적용에 따른 보강효과 분석 (Analysis of Reinforcement Effect with Geotextile types on Soft Ground)

  • In this study, Several types of geotextile was used on the selected track-bed. The use of geotextile prove a economical and efficientmean to prevent the problem of mud-pumping and settlement. Field testing sections from Mock-haeng to Dong-ryang in the Chungbuk lines in Korea were selected to investigate in current condition the of track and roadbed. This testing site was divided into 5 sections. In the four sections, different types of geotextiles were installed. In order to estimate for performance of the reinforced section with geotextiles on the soft ground, four different geotextiles were installed and compared with no reinforced section. Also, after the installation, mud-pumping, settlement of elastic or plastic sleeper, failure of track, wheel-loads, and earth pressures were investigated. The following is the summaries from the field tests. As a conclusion, According to naked eyes investigation, mud pumping didn't happen at reinforced sections, but no reinforced section was happen to a top of track for 6 months. And Elastic displacements at the reinforced and no reinforced section were about $30.7\%\;and\;73.8\%,$ respectively. Also, It was found that plastic displacement in reinforced section was retrained about $50\%$ more than that in no reinforced section.

이동하중과 3차원 모델링을 통한 접속부 지지강성연구 (A Study on the Supportive Stiffness in Transitional Zones through Moving Load-Based Three-Dimensional Modeling)

  • The Transitional zone between bridge abutment and earthwork is one of the representative vulnerable zones in railway where differential settlements may take place due to the different supportive stiffness. Although transitional zones are managed with stricter standards than those of the other earthwork zones either in the design and construction stages, it is very difficult to prevent differential settlement perfectly. A three-dimensional numerical analyses were performed by applying train moving load in this study. The analytical model including abutments and earthwork zones was constituted with rail, sleepers, track concrete layer (TCL), hydraulic stabilized base (HSB), reinforced road bed, and road bed using railway and road base structure. The clamp connecting the rail and sleeper were also modeled as the element with spring coefficient. The train wheel is modeled in the actual size and moved on the rail with 300 km/hr speed. The deformation characteristics at each point of the rail and the ground were considered in detail when moving the train wheel. The analysis results were compared with those from the two-dimensional analysis without considering moving load. The research results show that displacement and stress were greater in the three-dimensional analysis than in other analyses, and the three-dimensional analysis with moving load should be performed to evaluate railway performance.

모달시험기법을 이용한 침목플로팅궤도의 고유진동수 분석 (Natural Frequency Analysis of Sleeper Floating Track System using Modal Test Technique)

  • 도시철도 침목플로팅궤도(STEDEF)는 침목상자와 침목방진패드를 이용하여 침목과 콘크리트 도상을 구조적으로 분리하여 콘크리트 도상에 전달되는 진동을 감소시키는 구조이다. 최근에는 20년 이상 공용중인 침목플로팅궤도의 침목방진패드 열화가 발생하고 있다. 이에 침목방진패드에 대한 성능을 평가하기 위해 침목방진패드 발췌 후 정적 스프링강성 시험을 수행하고 있다. 해당 평가기법은 사용 중인 침목방진패드를 반드시 교체한 후 평가를 수행한다. 그러나 궤도 고유진동수는 침목방진패드 스프링강성 및 콘크리트 도상의 융기와 침하에 따라 변화할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 궤도 고유진동수를 평가하기 위해 모달시험기법을 사용하였다. 이를 위해 실험실 규모에서 침목상자 소재, 침목방진패드 스프링강성 및 콘크리트 도상 융기 및 침하에 따른 궤도 고유진동수를 모달시험을 이용하여 측정하였다. 침목플로팅궤도 고유진동수는 침목방진패드 스프링강성 변화에 따라 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 콘크리트 도상의 융기 및 침하에 따른 고유진동수 변화도 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시한 모달시험기법을 이용하여 침목방진패드의 열화 및 뜬 침목 평가 등에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

장대 레일의 온도 좌굴 해석 (Thermal Buckling Analysis of Continuous Welded Rail Track)

  • For many decades, railroad technology was used to set up tracks with jointed rails and lengths in accordance with rolling and handling technology. The joints lead to drawbacks in the track and in controlling rising maintenance costs. So, railroad engineers became interested in eliminating joints to increase loads, speeds and improvements in rolling, welding, and fastening technology. Continuous welded rail(CWR) track has many advantages over the conventional jointed-rail track. In the case of the elimination of rail joints, it may cause the track to be suddenly and laterally buckled by thermal forces and vehicle load. Thermal forces are caused by an increase in the temperature of railway track. For many years, many analytical and experimental investigations have been conducted to improve the safety of CWR track by various research center in many country. In this paper, CWR track model and CWRB program is developed for buckling analysis using finite element method(FEM). The finite element discretization is used for a rail element with a total of 14 degrees of freedom. The stiffness of the fasteners, tie, and ballast bed is included by a set of spring elements. The investigation on the buckling modes and temperature of CWR track is presented in this paper

Assessment of Stability of Railway Abutment Using Geosynthetics

  • An approach section on an abutment is located between the soil embankment and the structure, which may cause an uneven surface due to different settlement between the abutment and the soil embankment. This study proposes a new type of wall which separates the abutment from the backfill material using mechanically stabilized wall. A new type of keystone which incorporates geotube and wire mesh is proposed and evaluated. Numerical analyses were performed to investigate the applicability of the proposed keystone type, which incorporates Geosynthetic. The maximum horizontal displacements along GRS wall faces, settlements at the top of pavement and track bed, and tensile forces applied on geotextiles under traffic loads were investigated. The results of the numerical analysis showed that the proposed wall can be used for highway and high-speed railway abutment.

현장부설시험구간에서의 장기계측을 통한 토목섬유 보강효과 (A Study on Reinforcement Effectiveness for Railway Soft Roadbed through Long-Term Instrumentation on the Field Test)

Field testing sections from Mock-haeng to Dong-ryang in the Chung-La lines in Korea were selected to investigate the state of track and roadbed. And three places were chosen among 1,700 spots where mud-pumping was frequently occurred and maintenance required. At the curved section with radius of 500m between Mock-haeng and Dong-ryang, we divided this testing site into 5 section and 4 different types of geotextile were installed and left the last section with no reinforcement. Total length of the test site was 200m and individual length of each site was 40 m. In order to understand the state and the strength of prepared roadbed, stiffness and physical properties of the roadbed soil were evaluated and analyzed. Also, after the installation, mud-pumping, settlement of elastic or plastic sleeper, failure of track, wheel-loads, lateral force and earth pressures were investigated.

  • In this study, the relation between cant deficiency(C') and rail wear in Seoul Metro Line 5 with STEDEF track structure(concrete bed) is studied. As a result, it is found that cant deficiency have a direct influence on rail wear, and under the condition that other negative effects are neglected, the cant deficiency in Metro Lines is demanded to set as little as possible.

선로 내 소규모 유류오염도상자갈 정화를 위한 펜톤산화법의 적용성 연구 (Study on the Application of the Fenton Oxidation Method for Remediation of Small-scale Oil-contaminated Ballasts on Railroad Track)

  • 본 연구에서는 선로상의 소규모 유류오염 도상자갈을 대상으로 펜톤산화를 적용하였다. 이를 위해 현장의 오염도상자갈을 채취하여 실험실에서 주요인자들에 대한 실험을 수행하였으며, 이 후 소규모로 오염된 역사 내 선로에서 원위치 펜톤산화의 적용가능성을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 실험실 조건에서는 0.1 mol Fe/L $H_2O_2$의 조건으로 도상자갈 잔류 TPH 농도를 약 1,000 mg/kg-ballast 수준으로 낮출 수 있었다. 그러나 원위치 현장적용에서는 자갈궤도의 배수특성으로 인해 $H_2O_2$의 상당량이 충분히 반응하지 못하고 하부로 배출되어 펜톤반응의 현장적용성 향상을 위한 추가적인 연구가 요구된다.
