The Effect of Game Platforms Selection of Mobile Game Firms on Value Capture: Content Qualitative Analysis (모바일 게임개발사의 게임 플랫폼 선택활동이 가치확보에 미치는 영향: 콘텐츠 질적 분석)

  • This research explores strategy for game developers to select platforms in the game industry where are traditional two-sided market focusing on mobile game platforms. We conducted content qualitative analysis by collecting data through contents on online and offline and interviewed four CEO of game developers to secure validity and reliability as well. The results of the research are the following: First, platforms selection factors of game developers are game implementation ability and technical stability, marketing competence of platforms, and profitability creation. Second. the initiative of mobile game platforms has handed over from first generation of mobile games to second mobile games according to their value creation and value capture.

  • Feedback strategies of a qualitative competitive game between two players can be designed such as to influence parameters of a mechanical system to induce chaotic behavior. The purpose is to reduce the options and effects of the opponent's strategy. We show it on a case with dynamics specified by a nonautonomous Duffing equation with the players represented by damping and external forcing, respectively. It seems however that the conclusions can be made valid generally.

  • While the period of 40 million smart phone users begins, mobile game has spread and evolved as quick as popularization of smart phone. Therefore, this study is written to help the improvement of a graphic image on a development of a game for a qualitative growth of a game market, and is to suggest a guideline of tone by genres, by measuring image or feeling of game genre targeting game users. As a result of study, more than 50% of adjectives game users wrote by genres corresponded. It means that tone game users prefer is relatively clear. Therefore, the researcher confirmed that it is possible to attempt the standardization of tome about genre, and suggested 3 kinds of tone and brightness of color by genres. The researcher hopes that this result of the study will help smooth color plan on a development of smart phone game, and that more diverse studies will be proceeded for a qualitative growth of a game market arriving at puberty.

  • In this paper, we give a Peleg type KKM theorem on G-convex spaces and using this, we obtain a coincidence theorem. First, these results are applied to a whole intersection property, a section property, and an analytic alternative for multimaps. Secondly, these are used to proved existence theorems of equilibrium points in qualitative games with preference correspondences and in n-person games with constraint and preference correspondences for non-paracompact wetting of commodity spaces.

  • This study examined user experiences of motion-based games. Focusing on the playing experiences, in-depth interviews and survey were conducted on seven families with various family members detailing the gameplay. These qualitative methods were conducted interpretive way such as a month-long participant observation. As a result, the game Sensible meantime, the results were excluded from the game with the older generation of women and the elderly, leading to game culture game is trying to communicate was confirmed.

Mother-Infant Interactions in Social Games (사회적 게임에서의 영아-어머니 상호작용)

  • This study investigated the development of infant behaviors and maternal scaffolding in mother-infant games. Subjects were 60 mothers and their 9-, 12-, 15- and 18-month infants, 15 dyads in each age group. Mother-infant interaction was videotaped in the laboratory as they played peek-a-boo and a ball game in 2 sessions. Infant game behaviors were classified by the Rome-Flanders, Cossette, Ricard and $D{\acute{e}}carie$(1995) list, and maternal game behaviors were classified by the Hodapp, Goldfield & Boyatzis(1984) list. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA with repeated measures, sequential analysis and Z test as well as qualitative analysis. Results showed that infants played an increasingly active role with age. Infants mastered the ball game at earlier age than peek-a-boo. Mothers scaffolded infant behaviors in various ways. The amount of maternal game behavior varied by type of game.

  • When an online game is considered as a commercial product, now an online game should arouse the consumer's purchase desires as a service item. Most of all, the contents of an online game are important, but, on the other hand, beyond the online game services, it is also important to improve the accessibility of online games, which are developed through the specific testing processes. That is, it is necessary to develop comprehensive and systematic game testing processes considering even the aspects of the usability of the online games on the basis of the qualitative and measureable game tests. Therefore, this study is intended to suggest the proper scopes of the online game testing processes in a view that an online game is a commercial product.

  • This paper discusses the shaping of game culture and the socio-cultural functions of game-making events based on co-production ideation by meta-analysis. Research has shown that the experience in this event helps to reshape the perception of the game culture, which eventually will lead to the extended meanings of game culture. It can also be seen that the game-making event serves as an educational platform for building the next generation competencies.
