In injection molding of an optical disk, a toric lens, etc., their performance depends on the transcription preciseness of fine surface structure of a mold. However, transcription behavior has not been made clear yet, because transcription is made in very short time and the structure is very small. In this paper, transcription properties have been examined, by using V-grooves of various sizes. machined on mold surfaces, and the following results are obtained. (1) Transcription properties have been made clear experimentally and it was found that the mold temperature $T_D$ makes great influence on the transcription property and that compression applying time $t_c$ should be taken more than 2.0s for fine transcription. (2) A mechanical model of transcription process, in consideration with strain recovery due to viscoelastic property of polymer. is proposed. (3) Simulation results agree with experimental ones fairly well. It means that the transcription model is useful for estimation of transcription property in advance of an actual. injection molding.
It is very important study field in computer vision 'How we obtain 3D information from 2D image'. For this purpose, we must know position of camera, direction of light source, and surface reflectance property before we take the image, which are intrinsic information of the object in the scene. Among them, surface reflectance property presents very important clues. Most previous researches assume that objects have only Lambertian reflectance, but many real world objects have Non-Lambertian reflectance property. In this paper the new method for analyzing the properties of surface reflectance and reconstructing the shape of object through estimation of reflectance parameters is proposed. We have interest in Non-Lambertian reflectance surface that has specular reflection and diffuse reflection which can be explained by Torrance-Sparrow model. Photometric matching method proposed in this paper is robust method because it match reference image and object image considering the neighbor brightness distribution. Also in this thesis, the neural network based shaped reconstruction method is proposed, which can be performed in the absence of reflectance information. When brightness obtained by each light is inputted, neural network is trained by surface normal and can determine the surface shape of object.
A set {a1, a2, …, am} of m distinct positive integers is called a D(-1)-m-tuple if the product of any distinct two elements in the set decreased by one is a perfect square. In this paper, we find a solution of Pellian equations which is constructed by D(-1)-triples and using this result, we prove the extendibility of D(-1)-pair with some conditions.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ultrafiltration (UF) membrane was modified by silica sol in the coagulation bath during non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) process. The effects of silica sol concentrations on the morphology, surface property, mechanical strength and separation property of PVC UF membranes were systematically investigated. PVC membranes were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle goniometry and tensile strength measurement. The results showed that silica had been successfully assembled on the surface of PVC UF membrane. With the increase of silica sol concentration in the coagulation bath, the morphologies of PVC UF membranes changed from cavity structure to finger-like pore structure and asymmetric cross-section structure. The hydrophilicity and permeability of PVC UF membranes were further evaluated. When silica sol concentration was 20 wt.%, the modified PVC membrane exhibited the highest hydrophilicity with a static contact angle of $36.5^{\circ}$ and permeability of $91.8(L{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}h^{-1})$. The structure of self-assemble silica had significant impact on the surface property, morphology, mechanical strength and resultant separation performance of the PVC membranes.

This study analyzed the registration of patent and utility models by fashion firms in Korea. A total of 2,291 registration cases of IPC A41B-H from the period of 1996 to 2009 were collected by KIPRIS of the Korean Intellectual Property Organization (KIPO). All cases were analyzed by year to review the longitudinal trend and 481 cases of IPC A41B (shirts, underwear, baby linen, and handkerchiefs) and 1088 cases of IPC A41D (outerwear, protective garments, and accessories) were analyzed by content (provided benefit type and developing method), by detailed product items and the characteristics of the applicant. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Registration of IPC 41 increased steeply by the year (especially since 2006) and the patent registrations increased more than those in the utility model. 2) Analyzing the application content of A41B on the basis of benefit showed that 75% were to provide new functions and the rest were for health. In terms of the developing method, 83% of benefit provided by the application were by design development, 11.2% were by material, and the rest was by process, In the cases of IPC A41D, 23.6% were for safety and protection. In terms of the developing method, the process and material development were more frequently adopted than in the cases of A41B. 3) The major product types of A41B were socks, underwear, and infant wear, whereas gloves and parts of clothing were major items in A41D. 4) In terms of the characteristics of the applicant, registration by firms was greater for patents than for utility models and registration by foreigners increased in 2006 due to the complete opening of the retail market. 5) Fifteen universities registered for a total 57 cases and major applications were for IT related clothing or high-tech protective items.

In this paper, we propose the face recognition method using Harr wavelet transform and 2D PCA. While previous PCA computed the covariance matrix by using one dimensional vectors, 2D PCA computed the covarinace matrix by using direct two dimensional image and extracted feature vector by solving eigenvalue problem. To gain the face image having the low dimension and robust property, the proposed method uses wavelet transformation. We apply the LL band image data to 2D PCA for face recognition. The experimental results indicate that our method improves recognition rate than 2D PCA into original image.

Recently, due to rapid developments of wireless communication and digital TV, modern society needs to process of aquisition, storage and transmission of much information. So the importance of signal processing is increasing and various digital filters are used in the two-dimensional signal such as image. And kinds of these digital filters are IIR(infinite impulse response) filter and FIR(finite impulse response) filter. And FIR filter which has the phase linearity, the easiness of creation and stability is applied to many fields. In design of this FIR filter, flatness property is a important factor in pass-band and stop-band. In this paper, we designed a 2-D Circular FIR filter using the Bernstein polynomial, it is presented flatness property in pass-band and stop-band. And we simulated the designed filter with noisy test image and compared the results with existing methods.
Let m be the Lebesgue measure on ${\mathbb{C}}$ normalized to $m(D)=1,{\mu}$ be an invariant measure on D defined by $d_{\mu}(z)=(1-{\mid}z{\mid}^2)^{-2}dm(z)$. For $f{\in}L^1(D^n,m{\times}{\cdots}{\times}m)$, Bf the Berezin transform of f is defined by, $$(Bf)(z_1,{\ldots},z_n)={\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\nolimits_D}{\cdots}{\int\nolimits_D}}f({\varphi}_{z_1}(x_1),{\ldots},{\varphi}_{z_n}(x_n))dm(x_1){\cdots}dm(x_n)$$. We prove that if $f{\in}L^1(D^2,{\mu}{\times}{\mu})$ is radial and satisfies ${\int}{\int_{D^2}}fd{\mu}{\times}d{\mu}=0$, then for every bounded radial function ${\ell}$ on $D^2$ we have $$\lim_{n{\rightarrow}{\infty}}{\displaystyle\smashmargin{2}{\int\int\nolimits_{D^2}}}(B^nf)(z,w){\ell}(z,w)d{\mu}(z)d{\mu}(w)=0$$. Then, using the above property we prove n-harmonicity of bounded function which is invariant under the Berezin transform. And we show the same results for the weighted the Berezin transform in the polydisc.
This study dealt with correlation analysis of binder stiffness with deformation strength and dynamic creep property of asphalt mixtures for evaluation of applicability of deformation strength $(S_D)$. Two aggregates, with maximum size of 13mm and eight binders were used to produce 16 different mixtures. The stiffness of binder $(G^*/sin\delta)$ was measured using DSR at $64^{\circ}C$. Final deformation(FD) and dynamic stability(DS) were measured by dynamic creep (DC) test, and SD was measured by Kim test for each mixture. Results of correlation analysis between $G^*/sin\delta$, and $S_D$, m and DS showed that correlation with binder stiffness and deformation strength was the highest $(R^2>0.88)$. There was good correlation between DS, FD with $S_D$. The results indicated that rut-resistance property of mixture is better reflected in $S_D$ test than FD or DS of dynamic creep test. Therefore, it is concluded that $S_D$ can be possibly used for evaluation of rut resistance of asphalt concretes with a good reliability if the procedure is standardized.
