  • The object of this research is to evaluate the priority of R&B project alternatives which were already screened by both feasibility and suitability of technological performance. This research is a selection model for R&D project alternatives after setting phase. And it is designed by CHP model which include individual and mutual weights. This model have 5 steps. (1) Setting Technology-Modules derived on the setting phase (2) Presenting the evaluation standards divided with 'M-Field' and 'T-Field' (3) Assessing the evaluation standard and technology modules (4) Obtaining and integrating the individually and mutually effective weights (5) Selecting the technology modules based on the priority of order by CHP. Through these steps, this model can suggest the evaluation way from specific technology levels to project level. And it can be guaranteed to perform the selected module set.

  • Currently, knowledge within the field of software development is largely implicit and is not formally disseminated and shared. This means that there is little improvement and regeneration of processes, and knowledge gained from previous projects is not necessarily applied to new ones. In order to turn this situation around it is necessary to take an organized approach to sharing job-related information. For this study, the authors constructed "Amalab-Project Planning Navigation System, or A-PPNS", a system for organizing accumulated knowledge related to the field of software development. More specifically, A-PPNS is a business process monitoring system and consists of the following four elements: (i) Optimized estimate support subsystem, (ii) Schedule monitoring system, (iii) QCD optimization diagnostic system, and (iv) Strategic technology accumulation system. The effectiveness of this system has been demonstrated and verified at Company A, a system integration company.

  • To enhance success probability of a system development project, its overall risk level should be minimized through systematically managing schedules, costs, and technical performances. However, Attempts to manage technical performance compared to numerous efforts to control costs and schedules in such projects are deficient. Particularly, a space launch vehicle, a large complex system, development project is much less likely to meet its technical performance objectives due to its technological difficulty, along with schedule delay and cost overrun. The technical performance management (TPM) is a method for tracking and managing technical progress in order to achieve technical performance targets within schedule and budget. In this paper, we investigate applications of the TPM in several space launch vehicle development projects. Then we propose and validate the TPM process to achieve a successful mission in such projects.

  • In this paper, project based learning model using on-line thinking tool was designed and implemented, and the model is reflected in the instructional design on the IT ethics part included in 'General Computer' subject. This instructional design was applied to the class of the technical high school students. In-depth interview on the consciousness of IT ethics reveals that the positive changes occur in the consciousness of IT ethics, especially netiquette, Internet communications languages, copyright, and so on. Also, the result of the quantitative researches represents that a proposed model have a positive effect on academic self-efficacy of the technical high school students. These results show that the proposed model is able to apply to IT ethics education in the technical high school.

  • In general, a simulation project requires much time and money since we should develop a model that works similarly to the system at a level consistent with the project purposes. Therefore, more active research studies are required to reduce the time needed for the modeling process. This is achievable by minimizing the possible trial and error during the model development process through the appropriate conceptual model design and the automated generation of the simulation model. This paper presents a tool automatically generating an Arena model after developing a conceptual simulation model. Because our proposed tool is based on the popular Microsoft Excel and Visio, it is expected to be practically used at many industrial sites. Finally, we showed the effectiveness of the newly suggested tool by applying it to an imaginary simulation project.

  • Purpose - In this study, we try to measure the efficiency of the traditional market and university cooperation projects and present the direction of policy improvement for the near future by converging the system, which exerts to secure the competitiveness and revitalize its centered-city, and the recent policies that have new business and social Research Design, Data, and Methodology - In order to improve this situation, this study uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy project and propose its evaluation results. Also, we want to derive the weight calculation for utilizing DEA by using AHP method. Results - This study's results were derived from the input and output variables, so instead of qualitative analysis, the conclusion was drawn out from the quantitative analysis. Through this quantitative analysis method, we had an opportunity to identify the characteristics of each site by each year. Conclusions - It is believed that the reliability of the results can be further improved if the qualitative part can be supplemented its unique characteristics of the model which only considers the simple quantitative aspect. Further studies should be undertaken as these sectors are expected to draw out fruitful research conclusion when these aspects were supplemented additionally, so continuous additional study is essential.

  • One of the important objects in the multimedia instruction is improvement of ability to make multimedia contents. In order to achieve this goal, instructing project based multimedia contents authoring and examining the effectiveness can be contributable to enhance the instruction strategies. In this study, we analyzed the teaming effects according to characteristics of students on project based multimedia contents authoring which has performed during one semester, at a university to enrich the purpose of multimedia instruction. As the result, differences on teaming effects according to personal characteristics such as 'ages', 'admitter or not', were found to be significant in statistics. And 'interestedness in projects', 'roles in projects' also have lead to distinct differences on students' performance.

  • Construction industry is overwhelmed by delay and often has suffered cost and time overrun. In this context, Last Planner System (LPS) has been considered as a very useful tool for the management of the construction process. Many previous studies have reported its effectiveness in construction performance. This study aims to evaluate the level of importance of the Last Planner processes in the Vietnam construction industry (VCI), and analyze the existing barriers when implementing these processes in construction management. These barriers were collected based on previous studies from International Group for Lean Construction (IGLC). A survey was carried out through questionnaire. The respondents are been experienced people in construction project management. There are four processes of LPS that were investigated including master schedule, phase schedule, lookahead plan, and weekly work plan. The results showed that master schedule is the most important item when performing a construction project in the VCI. The highest degree of agreement belongs to 'owner - contractor' pair with 77.1% importance indices; whereas the lowest belongs to 'consultants - contractors' pair with 63.8% importance indices. Eventually, three barrier factors were extracted from factor analysis technique with 62.2% of variance explained.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the design - oriented model (NDIS) for enhancing learner's computing thinking in SW education. NDIS is a project-based learning model in which learners find real-life problems, analyze their needs, and design and implement them. In order to verify the effectiveness of NDIS, we experimented with middle level G education university students who had previously experienced SW education class. The traditional project model was applied to the control group and the NDIS model based on CT was applied to the experimental group. The experimental group showed a higher CT narrative performance evaluation score than the comparative group, which showed a significant difference. In addition, students showed a positive perception of self-confidence and CT improvement in solving real-life problems using computing.

  • JAEA started the LSTF experiments in 1985 for the fourth stage of the ROSA Program (ROSA-IV) for the LWR thermal-hydraulic safety research to identify and investigate the thermal-hydraulic phenomena and to confirm the effectiveness of ECCS during small-break LOCAs and operational transients. The LSTF experiments are underway for the ROSA-V Program and the OECD/NEA ROSA Project that intends to resolve issues in thermal-hydraulic analyses relevant to LWR safety. Six types of the LSTF experiments have been done for both the system integral and separate-effect experiments among international members from 14 countries. Results of four experiments for the ROSA Project are briefly presented with analysis by a best-estimate (BE) code and a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code to illustrate the capability of the LSTF and codes to simulate the thermal-hydraulic phenomena that may appear during SBLOCAs and transients. The thermal-hydraulic phenomena dealt with are coolant mixing and temperature stratification, water hammer up to high system pressure, natural circulation under high core power condition, and non-condensable gas effect during asymmetric SG depressurization as an AM action.
