ICP 알고리즘을 이용한 레일 프로파일 매칭 기법 (Rail Profile Matching Method using ICP Algorithm)

  • In this paper, we describe a method for precisely measuring the abrasion of the railway using an image processing technique. To calculate the wear of the rails, we provided a method for accurately matching the standard rail profile data and the profile data acquired by the rail inspection vehicle. After the lens distortion correction and the perspective transformation of the measured profile data, we used ICP Algorithm for accurate profile data matching with the reference profile extracted from the standard rail drawing. We constructed the prototype of the Rail Profile Measurement System for High-speed Railway and the experimental result on the three type of the standard rail used in Korea showed the excellent profile matching accuracy within 0.1mm.

프랙탈 보간에 의한 진원도 모델링 (Roundness Modelling by Fractal Interpolation)

  • There are many modelling methods using theoretical and experimental data. Recently, fractal interpolation methods have been widely used to estimate and analyze various data. Due to the chaotic nature of dynamic roundness profile data in roundness some desirable method must be used for the analysis which is natural to time series data. Fractal analysis used in this paper is within the scope of the fractal interpolation and fractal dimension. Also, two methods for computing the fractal dimension has been introduced which can obtain the dimension of typical dynamic roundness profile data according to the number of data points in which the fixed data are generally lower than 200 data points. This fractal analysis result shows a possible prediction of roundness profile that has some different roundness profile in round shape operation.

  • In this paper, a profile management system consisting of global and local range finders is presented for the automat ion of material pile handling. A global range finder detects range data of the front part of the piles of material and a profile map is obtained from a 3D profile detection algorithm. A local range finder attached on the side of the arm of the reclaimer detects range data with the handling function dynamically, and a local profile patch is acquired from the range data A yard profile map manager constructs a map by using the 3D profile of the global range finder and revises the map by replacing it with the local profile patch obtained Iron the local range finder. The developed vision system was applied to a simulator and the results of test show that it is appropriate to use for automating the material handling.

On Profile Likelihood for Gamma Frailty Models

  • The semiparametric gamma frailty models have been often used for multivariate survival analysis because they give an explicit marginal likelihood. The commonly used estimation procedure is the profile likelihood method based on marginal likelihood, which provides the same parameter estimates as the EM algorithm. In this paper we show in finite samples the standard profile-likelihood method can lead to an underestimation of parameters, particularly for the frailty parameter. To overcome this problem, we propose an adjusted profile-likelihood method. For the illustration a numerical example and a small-sample simulation study are presented.

  • Recently, distribution load analysis using AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) data is researched in electric utilities. Load analysis method based on AMR system generates the typical load profile using load data of AMR customers, estimates the load profile of non-AMR customers, and analyzes the peak load and load profile of the distribution circuits and sectors per every 15 minutes/hour/day/week/month. Typical load profile is generated by the algorithm calculating the average amount of power consumption of each groups having similar load patterns. Traditional customer clustering mechanism uses only contract type code as a key. This mechanism has low accuracy because many customers having same contract code have different load patterns. In this research, We propose a customer clustring mechanism using k-means algorithm with contract type code and AMR data.

  • In this paper, we propose a new customer profile model based on customer behavior in Internet shopping mall. The proposed technique defines customer profile model based on customer behavior information such as click data, buy data, and interest categories. We also implement CBCPM(Customer Behavior-based Customer Profile Model) and perform extensive experiments. The experimental results show that CBCPM has higher precision, recall, and F1 than the existing customer profile model.

A Profile Analysis about Thermal Life Data of Electrical insulating materials at Accelerated Life Test

  • Since 1987, when statistical analyzing guide for thermal life test of Accelerated Life Test(ALT) was proposed as ANSI/IEEE Std 101, this guide has been used widely for many experiment data. Shim(2004) had done Monte Carlo simulation to compare life of two different systems or materials, based on statistic values obtained from ANSI/IEEE Std 101 data. In this study, a profile analysis is proposed for comparing life of two different systems or materials, and some examples using pre-existing data are given.

동물 및 임상 시험의 시계열 프로파일 데이터 비교를 위한 유사성 지수 개발 (Development of a New Similarity Index to Compare Time-series Profile Data for Animal and Human Experiments)

  • Purpose: A statistical similarity evaluation to compare pharmacokinetics(PK) profile data between nonclinical and clinical experiments has become a significant issue on many drug development processes. This study proposes a new similarity index by considering important parameters, such as the area under the curve(AUC) and the time-series profile of various PK data. Methods: In this study, a new profile similarity index(PSI) by using the concept of a process capability index(Cp) is proposed in order to investigate the most similar animal PK profile compared to the target(i.e., Human PK profile). The proposed PSI can be calculated geometric and arithmetic means of all short term similarity indices at all time points on time-series both animal and human PK data. Designed simulation approaches are demonstrated for a verification purpose. Results: Two different simulation studies are conducted by considering three variances(i.e., small, medium, and large variances) as well as three different characteristic types(smaller the better, larger the better, nominal the best). By using the proposed PSI, the most similar animal PK profile compare to the target human PK profile can be obtained in the simulation studies. In addition, a case study represents differentiated results compare to existing simple statistical analysis methods(i.e., root mean squared error and quality loss). Conclusion: The proposed PSI can effectively estimate the level of similarity between animal, human PK profiles. By using these PSI results, we can reduce the number of animal experiments because we only focus on the significant animal representing a high PSI value.

클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반의 자동차 부하정보 모니터링 시스템 개발 (Development of Load Profile Monitoring System Based on Cloud Computing in Automotive)

  • Purpose: For improving result of estimated remaining useful life in Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), a system which is able to consider a lot of environment and load data is required. Method: A load profile monitoring system was presented based on cloud computing for gathering and processing raw data which is included environment and load data. Result: Users can access results of load profile information on the Internet. The developed system provides information which consists of distribution of load data, basic statistics, etc. Conclusion: We developed the load profile monitoring system for considering much environment and load data. This system has advantages such as improving accessibility through smart device, reducing cost, and covering various conditions.

아스팔트 포장의 노면조직 특성 분석 (Analysis of Texture Characteristics of Asphalt Pavements)

  • PURPOSES : Pavement textures can be categorized into four according to wavelength: microtexture, macrotexture, megatexture (roads), and roughness. Pavement surface texture influences a number of aspects of tire-pavement interaction such as wet-weather friction, tire-pavement noise, splash, spray, tire-wear, and rolling resistance. In particular, macrotexture is the pavement surface characteristic that considerably impacts tire-pavement noise. In general, it can be demonstrated that tire-pavement noise increases with the increase of texture depth and wavelength. Recently, mean profile depth (MPD) and wavelength have been used to evaluate tire-pavement noise. This study aimed to identify the relationship between mean profile depth and average wavelength for asphalt pavement based on the information obtained on a number of asphalt pavement sections. METHODS : Profile data were collected from a number of expressway sections in Korea. In addition, mean profile depth and average wavelength were calculated by using this profile data. Statistical analysis was performed to determine the correlationship between mean profile depth and average wavelength. RESULTS:This study demonstrates a linear relationship between mean profile depth and average wavelength for asphalt concrete pavement. CONCLUSIONS :The strong relationship between mean profile depth and average wavelength of asphalt pavement was determined in this study.
