Background : The personnel of emergency department have been under tremendous pressure to manage unexpected emergency situations and excited patients. And interpersonal conflict has existed always, because emergency department was consisted of various personnel of their own specialty. The patient's satisfaction has to come from the personnel's satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to evaluate emergency department personnel's job satisfaction and its related factors and to improve quality of emergency medical service Methods : A self-administered questionnaire survey to the emergency department personnel was conducted between September 1 and October 31, 2001. The response rate was 90.2%. Using SAS program (Version 6.12), the collected data was analyzed by frequency, ANOVA, multiple comparison, Pearson correlation procedure, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Result : The analysis of related factors of job satisfaction showed high score of interpersonal interaction (3.246), professional prestige (3.095), autonomy (2.916), task requirements (2.701), organizational requirements (2.444), and pay (1.953) in order of item mean. Professional prestige (0.498), task requirements (0.464), and organizational requirements (0.408) were highly positive correlated with overall level of job satisfaction. The factors influencing the job satisfaction were professional prestige and task requirements which explaining efficacy were 37.6% and 32.2% respectively. The total explaining efficacy was 33.6%. Conclusion : It was found out that emergency department personnel's job satisfaction can be raised by promoting professional prestige and task requirements. The personnel of emergency department have to be satisfied through their job, and the administration of the hospital has to pay more attention to their employees' job satisfaction and it related factors.
The purposes of the study were to assess levels of burnout, engagement, and turnover intention of dietitians and chefs and to investigate the relationships among the antecedents and consequences of burnout and engagement. A total of 257 dietitians and chefs at a contract foodservice management company in Korea were surveyed using a self-administered questionnaire. Burnout (exhaustion, cynicism, and professional efficacy) and engagement (vigor, dedication, and absorption) were measured with three dimensions each. The dietitians showed significantly higher exhaustion (p < .05) and significantly lower vigor and dedication than the chefs (ps < .05). The exhaustion and cynicism dimensions of burnout were negatively correlated with all three dimensions of engagement (ps < .001) and positively correlated with turnover intention (ps < .001). The professional efficacy was positively correlated with all three engagement dimensions (ps < .001), but not with turnover intent. In addition, turnover intention was positively correlated with negative affectivity and work-load and negatively correlated with vigor, dedication, and absorption. A series of hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to assess the effects of the personal (positive and negative affectivity) and situational factors (workload, interpersonal conflict) and job stresses on turnover intention. After removing the effects of the personal and situational factors, cynicism (p < .01) was the only significant predictor of turnover intention. Based on the findings, suggestions for recruiting and retaining qualified and motivated employees were provided.

As getting in 4th Industrial Revolution Times, Continuing Education Enrolled Students(CEES) trying to find loophole for jepordized current life and need job transfer have surged their interest significantly on starting new business to bring up their post career after retirement through self-improvement. Government and university have actively initiated diverse policies of promoting startup for CEES in kicking off entrepreneurship courses and programs. However, relevant main policy, 'The 2nd University Startup Education Five-Year Plan (draft)' have too chiefly focused on theoretical start-up education rather than practical courses, causing the problem of inappropriate support for implementing real startup and business (Ministry of Education, 2018). This study is brought to empirically investigate the effect of self-efficacy as perspective of the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention and behavior to come up with problem of poor entrepreneurial environment and entrepreneurship education to CEES. As to empirical research, this paper deliver on-line survey to CEES from September to October 2022, collect 207 effective feedbacks, In order to verify the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient (Cronbach's α) was calculated, analyzed, and measured. For hypothesis test, this paper utilize the multiple regression analysis statistical analysis method and use the SPSS 22.0 statistical processing program. Empirical results show, first, it was found that self-efficacy had a significant effect on start-up education. Second, start-up education had a significant effect on the intention to start a business of adult learners. Third, start-up education had a significant effect on the start-up behavior of adult learners. Fourth, self-efficacy had a significant effect on the intention of adult learners to start a business. Fifth, self-efficacy had a significant effect on the start-up behavior of adult learners. Sixth, self-efficacy had a mediating effect in the relationship between entrepreneurship education and adult learners' intention to start a business. Seventh, self-efficacy had a complete mediating effect in the relationship between start-up education and adult learners' start-up behavior. This paper is brought three significant implications. First, main consideration developing entrepreneurship education tools for CEES need to falls on defining potential needs of CEES as segmenting as to coming up with diversity of CEES's characteristics such as gender, age, experience, education, and occupation. Second, as to design specific entrepreneurship education program, both practical training program of utilizing CEES's career field experience benchmarking best practice startup and venture cases from domestic and global, and professional startup program of CEES initiating directly startup from ideation to develop business plan with pitching and discussing. Third, entrepreneurship education for CEES should be designed to incubate self-efficacy to enhance entrepreneurial intention of implementing entrepreneurial behavior as a real, eventually leading solid support system of self-improvement for CEES' Retirement life planning.
The purpose of this study is to explore the trend of nursing professional research topics published domestically through quantitative content analysis. The research method performed procedures for collecting academic papers, refining and extracting words, and data analysis. A text network was developed by collecting 351 papers and extracting words from the abstract, and network analysis and topic modeling were performed. The core-topics were nurses, nursing professionalism, nursing students, nursing care, professional self-concept, health care professionals, satisfaction, clinical competence, and self-efficacy. Through topic modeling, topic groups of nurse's professionalism, nursing students' professionalism, nursing professional identity, and nursing competency were identified. Over time, core-topics remained unchanged, but topics such as role conflict and ethical values in the 1990s, self-leadership and socialization in the 2000s, and clinical practice stress and support systems in the 2010s have emerged. In conclusion, it is necessary to facilitate multidimensional interventional research to improve nursing professionalism of clinical nurses and nursing students.
The study examines whether there is support for undergraduate students of Department of NCOs leadership needs and self-perceived any casualty, the purpose being placed to identify the cause-and effect relationship between student's behavior and these self-appointed leadership needs parameters. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the concept of political competence for nurses. Methods: A hybrid model method was used to investigate the dimensions, attributes, and definitions of the concept. In the theoretical stage of the study, literature on nursing, politics, and other discipline were reviewed. In the fieldwork stage, individual in-depth interviews and focus groups interviews were conducted with politically seasoned experts or activists who had an understanding of the concept of political competence for extensive descriptions in nursing and field of health care. Results: The concept of political competence was represented in four dimensions as political knowledge, political efficacy, political interaction, and political activity. In the political knowledge dimension, there were three attributes, namely, political knowledge, political information and systematic analysis ability. The political efficacy dimension had three attributes of internal political efficacy, external political efficacy, and self-pride of nursing profession. The political interaction dimension had three attributes of organizations and community service, networking, and persuasive power. The political activity dimension had six attributes of political leadership, political expression, assertive behavior, political advocacy, political participation, and policy intervention. Conclusion: This concept development might provide a basic understanding of developing a measurement tool and for constructing a theory promoting nurses' political competence.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the creativity of nursing college students who should act as professional nurses in the future. In order to carry out this research, the data collected through structured questionnaires were analyzed for 209 nursing college students who were approved by the IRB of K University. The results of this study showed that the creativity and self-efficacy(r=.374, p<.001), thinking ability(r=.347, p<.001), and school environment perception(r=.246, p<.001) were found to be positively correlated. In addition, the factors influencing the creativity of nursing students were self-efficacy(${\beta}=0.249$, p=.001), thinking ability(${\beta}=0.152$, p=.043), school environment perception(${\beta}=0.188$, p=.005) and the explanatory power of these variables was 21.2%. In the future, it will be necessary to develop educational methods for creativity development of nursing college students.

Purpose: This study was designed in order to explore the factors affecting the satisfaction of clinical practice among prospective graduates in nursing colleges and attempt to provide the base data for the quality improvement of clinical practice education. Methods: A total of 205 perspective graduates in nursing who have completed the clinical practice at four colleges of nursing located in Gyeonggi-Do and Chungcheongnam-Do participated in the study. Using structured questionnaires, the data was collected between October 10th, 2016 and November 9th, 2016. Results: The average scores for the image of nurses ($3.86{\pm}0.66$), satisfaction of major ($3.85{\pm}0.55$), self-efficacy ($3.44{\pm}0.51$), nursing professionalism ($3.70{\pm}0.47$), and satisfaction of clinical practice ($3.32{\pm}0.56$) were calculated. The satisfaction of clinical practice was in significant statistical correlation with the image of nurses (r=.59, p<.001), major satisfaction (r=.47, p<.001), self-efficacy (r=.21, p<.001), and professional identity (r=.46, p<.001). The significant predictors of the satisfaction of clinical practice included the image of nurses (${\beta}=.48$, p<.001) and nursing professionalism (${\beta}=.19$, p=.008). The regression model resulted in 36.0% satisfaction of clinical practice. Conclusion: Active development and implementation of programs for establishing positive images of nurses and nursing professionalism are needed in order to improve the satisfaction of clinical practice for nursing students.
The purpose of this study was to find the sociopsychological factors influencing the compliance of dietary regimen in diabetes by using focus group interviews. The data were collected from fifty three diabetes patients in eleven focus groups from September 1997 to March , 1998 in Seoul and Suwon Korea. The interviews were tape-recorded and the contents of the interviews were analysed by researchers. The subjects knew the causes, complications, and therapies of diabetes although they were incorrect at times . Patients had a wide range of outcome expectations from very optimistic to pessimistic. They recognized diabetes as a disease which needs life-time care, and they though that good care could provide a normal life. One the other hand they thought diabetes could lead to death through complications, and cause financial problems as well as social isolation. As for self-efficacy they recognized the importance of compliance to diet regimen but they thought the diet therapy was very difficult and were not very willing to follow it. They felt medical professionals, especially doctors, were influential for the therapies. However they frequently felt counselling provided by doctors was insufficient in time and content and led to attitude problems. They felt support from families and others was often insufficient and inadequate. Nutrition education fostering outcome expectation, social support, and self-efficacy is needed to increased compliance. The most influential referents were medical professional including doctors, nurses, dieticians, so their role in diet therapy should by emphasized.
This study explores the impact of a STEM integration teacher professional development program focusing on teachers' perception of engineering and their attitudes toward integrating engineering into teaching. A total of sixty-eight teachers from ten schools participated in the program for five days. Data are collected from three main sources including (1) pre and post concept maps probing teachers' perceptions about the engineering discipline, (2) a pre and post survey measuring teachers' self-efficacy of teaching science/mathematics within the engineering context, and (3) engineering integrated science and (or) mathematics lesson plans and teaching reflections. This study utilizes both qualitative and quantitative research methods depending on the data we have collected. The results show that both science and math teachers thought that integrating engineering into teaching provided valuable outcomes, i.e., promoting students' learning about engineering and improving their interest in science or math through real-world problem solving exercises. Participants also felt more comfortable about integrating engineering in their teaching after the program. The results also imply that the teachers' understandings of engineering become more concrete after the program. This study also provides an overview of the challenges and advantages of teaching engineering in K-12 science and mathematics classrooms.
